A Bit Sidetracked By Still Simmy Sunday

crossover_chickYeah, I ended up spending most of my morning rereading private "Victor gets brainwarped" AU stuff I've written. It was that kind of a day. XD Look, occasionally I get in the mood for him to get hypnotized and cuddled (and sometimes more), and I can only fulfill that by reading my own stuff. And then I got sidetracked by catching up on Not Always Right, and listening to some music, and watching an old "Comic Relief Bake-Off" with my parents. . .
I did do some Sims-related stuff in the afternoon, though! Mainly:
-->Watched the latest livestreamed episode of "Super Sim" from James -- things are settling down a bit after the death of the maid last episode. XD The new maid doesn't do much either, sadly, but I guess at least she's not setting herself on fire? At any rate, the important thing is, Max has nearly completed the Astronaut career (yay), has fully completed the "Beach Life" aspiration (w000), and is now starting on the Realm of Magic aspirations! So I get to see Max chug through magic and be awesome that way. :) Also, he woohooed both his current wife and the ghost of his previous wife in his new rocketship. XD Typical Max~
-->Played some Sims 4 myself -- the McFly family welcomed in summer with a weenie roast!
Both Nikal and Jennifer got set on fire near the end!
Seriously, I don't know HOW it keeps happening every time I host one of these stupid events (well, either that or alien abductions), but it does. Fortunately Nikal had leftover fire foam from her and Emmett's adventures in Sulani to put it out, and Jennifer extinguished herself without issue. And, despite this, I actually did enough during the whole event to get the gold medal! Helped that I actually had the McFlys roasting hot dogs early enough in the party for the event to complete. . .thought for sure we were stuck at silver, honestly, but either a party goal fulfilled itself at the last minute, or the game just took pity on me in the end. Either is acceptable -- I got the trophy, got the special chess table, I'm GOOD. Tomorrow in-game is just gonna be a quiet day to relax after all that! Maybe Marty and Jennifer will head to the gym and work out for a bit. . . Though that might be more interesting now, with Marty having leveled up to two-star celebrity. . .we'll see!
-->Watched the latest episode of "Rags To Repayment" as well -- thanks to mods (turns out the "overheated" death, and thus ghost, is super bugged and can't be resurrected as a result -- fortunately the modding community will fix the code EA will not!), the plan to resurrect the ghosts is back on track! Three of them have successfully returned to life with the help of ambrosia, and Bob cloned some more plates and delivered a few more to the ghosts now living on their own lot. There's two ghosts still with him now, and one still to go. *nods* Progress! Also, Ambrose is now an Independent toddler (w00), and the gang successfully celebrated Summerfest, with Bob fighting Father Winter for presents, then immediately making up with him via the medium of photography. (Seriously, that's ridiculous and so bugged XD) Good times!
And in non-Sim activities:
-->Did some more on Chapter 6 of "Secundus 2" -- Clara has joined the picnic, and found to her relief her telescope is part of the luggage they managed to save. I'm looking forward to her telling the group some of her history, and how it's different thanks to MAD SCIENCE. XD
-->Watched a video recommended by a tumblr friend on Stranger in a Strange Land, a Heinlein book with some interesting ideas, but -- uuuuuuh. Well, there are sex cult shenanigans that make it pretty clear what Hein's fetishes are and how much he dislikes the gays, soooo. . . At least Overly Sarcastic Productions lived up to its name when recapping/reviewing!
-->And I'm currently working on finishing up my Valice Multiverse queue after answering the stuff in my inbox. *nods*
And that's about it for today! Gonna be heading to bed after finishing up the queue -- to help distinguish weekdays from weekends, I'm gonna be doing my best to get to bed by 12:30 or so for weekdays so I can wake up a little earlier (though I'm not gonna force myself to wake up at 7, because I might as well take advantage of THAT). Gotta remember to check my work e-mail too. . .and on the fun side, we're back to vampires with more "Vein Pursuit" and Bloodlines! And I should take a moment to work on the birthday gift fic for a friend that's "due" this Thursday. . . At least I have a variety of ways to keep busy during this troubling time!
