After which I think I can safely say that the main source of my irritation yesterday was definitely all the texts I was receiving -- there was less to handle in the inbox today (one of which was an e-mail exchange with a donor I'd already contacted before), so less coming through on my phone. I also made an effort not to look at work stuff until AFTER I'd had my breakfast and dressed, which also made a difference. Compartmentalizing my "work" things from my "home" things makes me feel a bit better about everything. I don't even have my usual browser open when I'm in my work e-mail anymore -- helps me concentrate better when I'm doing stuff there.

Anyway, yes, a nicer Wednesday, with a little more getting done on the "fun" side of things:

-->Had my Plumbella marathon, as I indicated I would:

A) A general "here's a bit of Q&A about me" video, as she's doing more videos in this time of social isolation

B) A video about people doing the 20th Anniversary of the Sims franchise better than EA, including some fun downloads like someone converting Sims 2 stuff packs to Sims 4, and someone else recreating the infamous vibrating heart bed XD Plumbella herself got in on the action, with some custom bed recolors for kids using icons from the game, plus some pictures for Sims to hang up -- which I actually downloaded for myself, as her link went straight to the file share site! Why not, right? So that was all cool. :)

C) A video using her torture chamber that she built over in StrangerVille and a bunch of Sacrificial's most dangerous mods -- victims included some viewer Sims picked up from the Gallery for exactly that purpose, a friend and fellow Simmer named Steph, and -- drumroll please -- Call Me Kevin and RT Game! XD Yeah, the former was definitely being called out a lot in the comments section on the previous video, so she decided to make a Sim that looked kind of like him and drag him in. She got her torture on with the help of a deadly toddler, supervillain powers for her and Steph --

And Call Me Kevin RANDOMLY MURDERING RT GAME WHEN SHE TRIED TO GET THEM TO SING KARAOKE. Granted, this was because she'd had her evil self-Sim raise the corruption of the world, meaning Sims acted more chaotic, but -- well, Kevin murdering RT Game in a game and then getting into a fight with Death is basically completely on brand for him. I love it. XD And then she started trying out the pole dancing mods, and -- well, she was basically too shocked/darkly amused to continue after that. XD

D) A video about Sims 2 Castaway, one of the spinoff games of The Sims 2 where you had something of a plot to actually work your way through. In this case, you are a Sim cast away on a tropical island after your boat wrecks in a storm! You have to harvest materials, make the most out of coconuts and banana leaf clothes, and try to make friends with chimps. It's a weird little twist on the formula, and Jesse enjoyed it very much, as did I. As I said in my comment, StrangerVille, take notes!

E) And a video about doing the "expert mode" challenge in Sims 3 -- eight Sims of varying ages, one house, speed three for one week with minimal to no input. Jesse even added a horse to the family to up the difficulty!

. . .Turns out Sims 3 Sims are arguably the best at taking care of themselves and the worst that happened was one of the kids taking the horse out for a ride and abandoning it somewhere, then the horse having a falling out with the dad. And some kids not having great needs. Jesse was quite disappointed with the lack of drama, and fully intends to stack the deck a little more with the Sims 4 version. XD

-->Played Sims 4 myself -- rather low-key day with the McFlys, after the Weenie Roast of Gold-Level Not-Quite-Doom. Marty lost his record label because I couldn't produce a decent track for him to release in time (why is it so hard?), but I'm still having him release stuff on his own -- who needs a record label when you've got your own little music studio? I also opened Jennifer up to becoming famous, so we'll see if she goes anywhere with that and her painting. Big adventure of the day was them going to the gym with drop-by guest Eric Embers -- finally seeing those bellies of theirs flatten out a bit! And then they helped their kids with their castle dioramas, like good parents. :p So yeah, nothing particularly special, but it was still fun. And hey, tomorrow in-game is SimCity Founding, so that'll be a bit of a meatier play session. :)

-->Wrote some more on "Londerland Bloodlines" -- yes, the actual fic, not just my notes as I've been doing lately. (To be fair, I'm very close to finishing the game, and having a mostly-completed timeline will be a good thing!) Got Alice upstairs to the Controlled Substances area, and have had her distract the guard with a laughing fit. Now she just has to get into the room and figure out how to open the cabinet! . . .and then get into the other room that has the computer that controls the cabinet. And then maybe take care of the security camera that's in there, because watching Helloween's take on the quest reminded me that that's a thing. Hmmm. . .

-->Watched the latest episode of "Rags To Repayment" -- all of the ghosts have had ambrosia and are now back amongst the living, hooray! :D James has promptly scheduled ANOTHER New Year's Party for them to all attend. During a heatwave. XD To be fair, THIS time he's added a pool to the lot to help everybody cool down. (Yes, he found room for a pool. This lot is such a hilariously chaotic mess, I swear. XD) Bob also has made enough mechanisms and bought enough parts to make a Servo, which will replace the one that exploded on the lot, and thus fulfill his debt to society. AND he's continuing to advance in his Scientist career, which is fun. Nice to see James actually making an effort with an active career! Trust me, James, I know they tend to get repetitive, but Scientist is definitely the best one. :) So yeah, coming up on the endgame here -- once Bob makes his Servo, he, Ambrose, and Trash all go back to Britechester to fix up THAT house. And then Bob will probably get with Elsa, as per fan request, and the Bigwallets will be put on hold again until the next pack. (Incidentally, I think Bob is the second in the family to cover two packs, given his post-Discover University living situation was in a micro home using the lot type from the Tiny Living stuff pack. Not as epic as Katrina becoming both a world-class vet and a jungle explorer, but still!)

-->Got Thursday and Friday done on my queue for Victor Luvs Alice, including the gift fic for my friend tomorrow, wahoo~ Still gotta figure out Saturday, but I'm thinking some Weird Al stuff that seems to be appropriate for the current crisis. :P

And that's about it, beyond me answering the comment that's currently in my inbox. Tomorrow -- well, actually, I'm thinking more Sims! I still have a fair amount of videos relating to the game in my Watch Later, and I'm not sure I want to play Bloodlines on a day where my writing is supposed to be "Secundus 2" related. Trying to keep to a schedule here! *wags finger* Might not play the McFlys, though -- could be just a "I wanna build something" or "I wanna mess around in CAS" day. We'll see how it goes.

Anyway -- time to finish up the last of my stuff before my self-appointed weekday bedtime. *nods* Night all!
