Had to contact a couple of donors about things thanks to e-mails forwarded by my coworkers and whatnot -- everyone seemed settled by the time lunchtime ended, though, so that was all right then. *nods* And now it is the weekend, and I don't have to worry about my work e-mail again until Monday. :p Weird how I can still look forward to the weekend because of that. Also because of staying up late and sleeping in. No "must be before 1 AM" bedtime, yay~

Anyway -- after spending most of my morning doing work stuff, I dedicated the majority of my afternoon to fun stuff:

-->Watched another episode of "Vein Pursuit," which was essentially "half the cast has mental breakdowns, the other half don't explicitly have breakdowns but it's implied." XD A lot of ditching of cell phones and looking to steal cars and -- well.

They also had to deal with FUCKING MOTHMAN. Which, if you didn't know, is a semi-famous cryptid who is -- well, big human-sized moth creature. In the World of Darkness, apparently he is a vampire, best guesses either Nosferatu or Gangrel, who has gotten a little TOO into his insect-based Animalism and now is, yes, a giant moth creature. With a proboscis tongue. *shudder* He was angry with the coeterie for coming into his domain, and some tense negotiations had to play out before they could get on their way. As is becoming usual, good old Veronica took care of business -- I'm really liking watching her come into her own, after struggling just to get a full stomach in the early episodes.

But seriously, FUCKING MOTHMAN. This campaign. XD

So yeah, that was fun. Just three more episodes to go, now!

-->I actually got freaking outside! O.O Yeah, it ended up being pretty nice today, with temps in the 60s. I didn't actually GO anywhere beyond our own yard, because, you know, social distancing, but I did do a few laps around the house just to get a bit of fresh air and sunshine. Kinda needed that after being cooped up in the house for a whole week. Helps reset the "slowly getting stir-crazy" meter.

-->Played Bloodlines after that -- I have gotten through Griffith Park and killed the werewolf via observatory! Which took a few tries, but. . .got killed once simply because I wasn't in the right position to bring up the "activate switch" prompt. *grumbles* But managed it, Obfuscated my way through the resultant blood hunt (with a stop at Mercurio's to pick up a new gun and body armor, and sell off some weapons I don't really need), talked to the Cabbie, and picked the Independent path to start off the main bosses. Oh, and stopped at Vandal's to buy a BUNCH of blood packs -- may not be canon to Alice's story, but I DESPERATELY needed them. So I'm currently saved near the beginning of the Ming boss fight, having recruited Yukie to help me fight through some of the first waves of vampires and human minions. Feels weird, being this close to the end game. . .I feel like I'll need to make a small effort to stretch it out so I'll finish "Vein Pursuit" along with the game. At least by then I'll have a full preliminary timeline!

-->Speaking of which, wrote up all my notes from the latest playsession, with their unique Alice twist. Timeline is currently looking like it'll be from night of October 21st to night of November 13th -- just under a month. That's probably a BIT too short, given that Alice has everything going on with Victor, Victoria, Emily, Lizzie, and Bonejangles in her version of reality (aka her "companions sidequest" :p), so I may pad it out a little to get to at least a full month. But it's good to at least get an idea of how much she could conceivably accomplish in a night! Need that when taking on a fic of this size. . .

-->Had a Call Me Kevin marathon for the evening YouTubery:

A) Bitlife made a grand return, as Kevin decided to just embrace the evil and become a career criminal with his character THUG LIFE. Started off robbing a train at 18 years old, made 12 million dollars. XD He then proceeded to squander most of it gambling, got caught for murder and sentenced to death row, and then spent most of the rest of the life emigrating, committing crimes, escaping prison, and having loads of babies with his girlfriend. XD Actually managed to make it to death by old age too, so -- yeah. Thug strangely enough had probably the most successful Bitlife so far. XD

B) Half-Life Alyx, the new VR game from Valve -- Kevin had a blast tormenting pigeons and scribbling on stuff with markers. XD And wearing a hard hat, because safety first! XD (Actually, hard hat was indeed useful -- saved his life a couple of times from those monsters that live on the ceiling and drag things up with their tongue-tendril things!)

C) Two smaller VR games in a Oculus-funded video. The first, about killing zombies in various maps, wasn't exactly Kevin's speed, unfortunately -- he had quite a bit of trouble getting it all to work. The second, about killing robots in various maps -- now THAT he excelled at. XD Probably because there were no gun-reloading mechanics. XD He clearly had a blast, though, so I can't fault him there!

D) Another Hitman 2 "kill everyone on the map" challenge -- this time in Paris! Kevin ran into a few hiccups early on because he REALLY wanted to walk the catwalk, but eventually got himself together and became a vampire magician. XD And he successfully slaughtered everyone again, good for him! 277 people are a lot of people to kill. *nods* I really hope he ends up doing this for every available map -- it would be AMAZING. XD

-->Got my Valice Multiverse queue sorted -- just a bunch of asks, no biggie.

And now I just have to answer the comment in the inbox, then go do the Friday Night Writing Thing (as routines help me keep straight what day of the week it is). Tomorrow is Fallout 4 and just catching up on some of the videos I've missed -- got TWO "Fun With Shorts" to watch, and one of them is a Lone Ranger cartoon, w0000~ Night all!
