crossover_chick: Doc in goggles and holding a big old plug with the words "feeling sparky..." (BTTF: feeling sparky/creative)

Not that it's ever very Eastery in my house, but generally there's some acknowledgement of the holiday, in the form of a chocolate bunny or something. But, with the current state of the world, that didn't happen today. Though my Mom DID try to make me some sort of chocolate frozen treat thing, since I ate the last of the ice cream in the freezer yesterday. Turned out -- okay. Chocolately, at least, though the consistency was off. She's gonna try blending it again and adding some more cocoa powder to see what happens. There are also cinnamon apple muffins in the making, since she found a recipe that uses the pancake mix she got, so. . . We're doing all right, I guess! XD

Anyway, things of note this Not-Easter:

-->Watched some funny videos on Fallout 4 regarding companion reactions to a certain side quest (which does not end the way the companions thought it might -- though at least Preston and MacCready get a good laugh out of it!) and to a certain NPC in Diamond City (a noodle-making robot who can only say one phrase in Japanese; Piper pretends he's an informant, Codsworth actually manages to talk to him, and Danse thinks he's a Chinese spy of some description. And Strong is an asshole, cementing my hatred of him all the more).

-->Watched Jay's latest attempt at Yandere Simulator's Alphabet Killer challenge -- after a couple of false starts, he managed to get all the way down to the 17th kill! . . .and then proceeded to mess it up by not being careful enough in luring his target away from his buddies and failing the challenge as said buddies started both fighting Ayano and running away. Poor guy -- at least he's starting to improve?

-->Watched Plumbella reacting to some of the latest videos and information on Paralives, an indie game in development that is essentially the same kind of life simulator that the Sims series is. We haven't actually seen the ParaPeople (or whatever they're called) yet, but the building stuff on display is pretty cool. All furniture is stretchy, comes with a colorwheel and lots of customization options, and places really smoothly and neatly. Plumbella is intrigued, but doesn't want to get TOO hype, or expect too much, because -- well, this is an indie game being made by like three people, as opposed to the established Sims which has multi-million dollar company EA behind it. Which is basically my view on it too -- it would be awesome if Paralives manages to be the life simulator we all deserve, BUT I have no idea where they are in development, or if this game will even go anywhere beyond videos. And it's not right to expect such a tiny team to fix every mistake in the Sims series. I'll happily take in Paralives content where I can, but I won't get too excited until we have some actual demos and a potential release date.

-->Watched two Call Me Kevin videos -- first, a run through Bitlife with "Lone Lee," a character all about self-isolation and quarantine! And, uh, murdering their parents and potential elderly love interests. XD Yeah, Lone Lee spent a lot of time escaping from jail for someone who was supposed to be self-isolating all day every day. XD Worst life ever, and we love it. And second was the finale to Lakeview Valley, that game where there is evil in the forest and you can either oppose it as a good person or aid it as a serial killer! ...Guess what Kevin did. XD In fact, he got downright SALTY near the end, when the evil finally escaped and started slaughtering the town, because the evil wasn't letting HIM kill everyone on the map! XD Murgo, don't you know what happens when you mess with the creator of Jim Pickens??

-->Actually got outside! Yeah, the weather was -- well, it was off-and-on cloudy and in the 50s, but I figured that was good enough to get a walk around the block. Did three loops before the growing threat of rain, the chill in the air, and my own desire to not encounter people (some of whom were also walking around to get some fresh air -- I kept an appropriate social distance!) got me to go inside. At least it was something in the exercise department!

-->Played Fallout 4 -- started off with some inventory upkeep at the Red Rocket, swapping out some mods between my two sniper rifles (to make the one with better damage even more powerful) and getting rid of more stuff I didn't really need to carry. Then it was off to try and reach the farm that's having trouble with super mutants!

Promptly ran into a fresh group of raiders that had taken over Parkview Apartments, then a Rust Devil group that attacked us just as we were leaving after cleaning up THAT mess. The Assaultron was -- not fun to deal with, but I did at least kill it without dying horribly! Same with those Rust Devils (which included one Legendary, who had some armor on her that boosts Luck -- eh). Road went quiet for a while after that, thankfully -- came across a Coast Guard outpost that had been taken over by Super Mutants, but Preston and Victor managed to sneak around them, along with the Rust Devil that was also hanging out nearby. We had to kill some raiders who'd made camp at the top of a big old bridge, but my newly-upgraded sniper made pretty short work of them. And then I had to kill a giant bear after a swim across the river -- we eat well tonight! Or, well, next time I find a cooking station, anyway. We're slowly but surely working our way to that farm! And hey, if the super mutants troubling them are at that Coast Guard post, at least I have a convenient fast travel spot to get to them. (Just have to figure out how to handle that Suicider I know is on the premises. . .)

-->Post-supper, it was time to catch up with James Turner's Animal Crossing New Horizons videos! They were mostly about upgrading his house and yard, and making them look nicer (the yard definitely looks very nice now; the house is slowly getting there XD); meeting the new villagers moving onto the island (we have Papi the Okapi and an overly-cutesy polka-dotted bunny); engaging in "fruit smuggling" (aka visiting Dr. Gluon's island to sell pears and get peaches, because apparently selling fruit on an island where it's not native fetches a way better price, and James has home loans to pay off!); and having dedication ceremonies for places now a couple of days old. XD Honestly, it's a very relaxing LP, especially when compared to the chaos that is his Sims 4 stuff at the moment. I like watching the island slowly come together, and James get his interior decorator on. Happy to keep tuning in as long as he keeps putting up videos!

-->Certified my first unemployment payment -- hopefully that lands in my bank account without issue!

-->Rewarded myself after that with a watch of another of Kevin's older videos regarding Fallout 4 being destroyed by mods -- just as hilarious as the others I've watched, with the added benefit of giving me a few glimpses of the Silver Shroud quest! Which, holy hell, I GOTTA get on that, because the little bit of genuine hamming it up I heard. . .Victor is gonna wear the HELL out of that outfit. XD I'm gonna have SO much fun with that quest. . .once I finish up this current Minuteman stuff, anyway.

-->Got my Valice Multiverse queue sorted -- couple of asks, friend tagging me into a funny TikTok. It's all good. XD Also cleared up the comments in my inbox, so that was solid.

And now it's time to hit the sack! Tomorrow -- have to get my pictures for my next Newcrest Adventures update sorted; play some actual Sims 4; watch the latest from "Rags to Repayment" from James; and work some more on "Londerland Bloodlines." That is, if we don't get blown away -- got a fun little storm coming in with lots of rain and high winds. *sigh* Well, suppose the weather might as well be horrible if we can't go anywhere. . . Night all!

I talked my mom into getting Animal Crossing New Horizons for me and Antoinette for Easter since...ahem, the Easter Bunny couldn't visit this year. We're only on Day Two. There is the "time travel" trick via changing the Switch's internal clock, but the parental controls on Antoinette's Switch don't allow that, so I didn't do that on mine so we'd both be equal.

In other news: 846 videos, end of November 2019. Being unemployed has its perks. :/
