crossover_chick: a vampire version of Alice Liddell and a human Victor Van Dort kissing (SIMS: Vamp!Alice and Victor Smooches)

Yeah, that storm blew in, just as they said -- pretty heavy rain and gusts of wind for most of the day. Fortunately, we never lost power, though apparently a lot of people in RI did -- I'm guessing probably more along the coast than anywhere else. Still, it was miserable weather -- and it looks like we're getting it off and on all week. Like, tomorrow's supposed to be okay, but then the rain's moving back in Wednesday. . . April Showers, May Flowers, is what I keep telling myself. . .

Anyway, highlights of Easter Monday (since yeah, that is technically what today is):

-->Nothing on the e-mail side of work, but I had a couple of calls from my boss regarding the payments of one donor who died recently. I did my best to help (and to ensure that the guy's payments had stopped), but I had to refer him back to our database and online vendors to get the answers he really needed. Hopefully that'll get some wheels turning regarding certain things!

-->Got all my Newcrest Adventures pictures for this Wednesday sorted, and have the preliminary form of the posts all ready to go in the queue -- probably get the text sorted tomorrow morning.

-->Also got some more done working on my "I AM Gonna Write You A Love Song" Valice playlist. . .except that I remembered I had some other Ed Sheeran songs I've put up on Song Saturdays, and now I'm thinking of adding them in. -.- I swear, I just want to add anything even REMOTELY Valice to this playlist, despite the fact it's supposed to be a specific modern AU of them. . .

-->Played Sims 4 -- I had Marty and Jennifer hit Del Sol Valley's Plumbob Pictures Museum because Marty had to go to a Celebrity Hotspot for his aspiration, and Jennifer had to go view paintings at a museum for her aspiration -- and then I decided to turn it into a date so they could ALSO get another notch on the "Soulmate" aspiration I'm having them both work on. The museum turned out to be -- lackluster, at best. Pretty much the ENTIRE FIRST FLOOR is empty! O.o One dinosaur skull, that's it. Marty and Jennifer didn't mind, as I was having them socialize pretty much the whole time for their date (another Gold, w000), but I certainly did. Kind of cementing the idea that, if I ever make another save (and I just might, given how much time I'm spending at home these days), I'm going to use one of the community-created ones, where someone's gone through the entire game and redone all of the lots and whatnot. I have seen some awesome save files, and I want the pleasure of decent lots, thank you.

-->Watched a bunch of YouTube videos, including:

A) This awesome four-song remix I stumbled upon while listening to some of my other remixes -- "Gasoline" by Halsey, "Dollhouse" by Melanie Martinez, "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons, and "My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark" by Fall Out Boy -- you wouldn't think anyone could put those together so well, but LTS managed it! :D

B) Carl's Sims Guides takes a look at the Detective Career from Sims 4. There was much snarking over how ridiculous the in-game police station looks, how the Sim criminal justice system is innately broken (you DO basically bully criminals into giving you confessions, and that's it), and how repetitive the whole thing gets with not-great rewards. Thanks for summing up why I'm kind of tired of the stupid career, Carl! Mind doing the Doctor career next?

C) LilSimsie taking a look at KawaiiStacie's "Prom Event" mod because apparently she got a notification on her phone saying it was like three years since her senior prom, she remembered being miserable at it, and she wanted to give her Sims a better time. She used a pair of celebrity teen boyfriends -- the event is essentially a twist on a date, only it summons a bunch of other teens to the lot you choose (along with at least one adult "chaperone") and the main goal is to slow-dance with your date (which you need ANOTHER mod for). It looked like a good time for all the Sims involved, though! At the very least, the event was completed successfully, and everyone got a nice mood buff. :) More reasons for me to start modding the hell out of my game. . .

D) Another episode of James's Animal Crossing New Horizons LP! He has a new room on the back of his house, which he's turning into a kitchen; he set up the location for a new clothing store for his little hedgehog friend; he moved some trees and went around collecting all the things he could; and he caught at the very end of the video a GIGANTIC sunfish for the museum. :D Once again, a very cute and relaxing LP, yay.

E) Plumbella doing something terrifying and hilarious -- playing Bitlife and trying to recreate some of her character's life events in Sims 4. It was -- not a good life, let's say that much. Mostly because Plumbella kept having her protagonist, Jose Fudge, start fights and end up in jail. XD And get into awkward romantic encounters with people as her Bitlife guy had a series of very weird one-night stands. Poor girl just cracked up at one terrible pick-up line about "have you got a tetanus shot? Because you're nailing me tonight." XD It was chaotic, to say the least, but made for good Sim-ema! XD

F) And the latest episode of "Rags To Repayment" from James I mentioned yesterday -- also chaotic! The Servo constantly needs tune-ups; the roommates are creating giant piles of trash in their space; Bob and Trash always seem to be running the ragged edge of hunger or exhaustion; Bob STILL has not gotten a promotion after two days at the labs (one of which was that stupid "alien invasion" event -- seriously, what it REALLY is is "torment townie Sims on the lot" day. Which CAN be funny, but still. I expect more, Sims 4!); and Ambrose ATE PART OF THE AMBROSIA James was keeping around for cloning and emergency resurrection purposes. His fault for not watching the toddler and just leaving it on the cloning mat, really. . .fortunately, with a death flower plant on the lot, making a fresh batch shouldn't be too hard, but damn. Poor James -- he is being run ragged by all this nonsense. XD

-->Wrote some more on "Londerland Bloodlines" -- and I should point out I did work on "Secundus 2" yesterday, I just forgot to mention it. Both are going well -- Clara's getting settled into her cottage as the gang prepares to leave in S2, and Victor's just had a taste of Alice's blood and gotten hit with the full addictive effects in LB. Not that he's going to have much of a chance to indulge for a while, as Alice is about to Dement him into falling asleep so the vitae can heal him up. . .and then he disappears from the story again for however long it takes me to get past the Elizabeth Dane mission. *sigh* I shall console myself with the knowledge he shall be back. And then I can write more cute and slightly twisted relationship stuff. :p

And that's about it, basically. Time to finish off anything left in my inbox and hit the sheets. Tomorrow -- got some Call Me Kevin, OXBox, and GrayStillPlays to watch, some Fallout 4 to play, and more "Secundus 2" to work on. Along with my Victor Luvs Alice and Valice Multiverse queues. And I REALLY need to get back to reading a friend's fanfic (I'm up to Chapter 9, I'm past the halfway point, why can't I just sit down and READ). So many things to do, even in this current climate! Well, that's good, probably why I haven't gone mad from said current climate yet. *nods* Night all!
