A Bit Of A Distracted Friday
Apr. 17th, 2020 11:14 pmMostly because my brain is in full "I wanna do Fallout 4 Sole Survivor!Victor/ Bloodlines Fledgling!Alice crossovers, with a possible side of Portal Test Subject!Victoria and BioShock Wintry Houdini Splicer!Emily if arrangements can be made" mode, and -- yeah. I'm probably not helping things by watching so many "all companion reactions" videos and Fallout 4 trailers. (The "Wasteland Workshop" one just tickles my funny bone so much!) I just managed to come up with a concept for an Alice who's native to the damn Fallout verse in general, but -- you know me. If I can do a complicated crossover, I will do a complicated crossover. Even if it's just in my head.
Despite my tendency for my brain to run away with me, though, I did get some stuff done today:
-->Played some Sims 4 -- we have moved on to Eric and Andy, who spent most of the day in Brindleton Bay after needing to take their dog Laserwolf to the vet (icy fur is apparently going around these days), then hit the Romance Festival afterwards to spend a little time at the karaoke bar there. Also it was Neighborhood Brawl, so they fought a bunch of people, including each other (Eric won that one). XD Fun day out with the Sims!
-->Watched a couple of mod videos from itsmeTroi -- a short one on a functional toaster mod (it makes a bunch of different kinds of toast!); and a longer one on various other little functional items, including a cake display stand, a cookie jar, and some converted Sims 3 vending machines. I have made some notes about stuff I would rather like to add to my game. :p
-->Watched Plumbella do a house-building challenge where each room (plus the outside) had to be a different pack. It was -- an experience, mostly because she used James's randomizer and got stuff like Romantic Garden Stuff for one of the bedrooms. XD She did her best to make everything work (like layering tables and benches and stuff to make a "vampire bed") but -- well, that house is a hilarious disaster. XD Love it.
-->Watched LilSimsie make a new shell challenge for #JusticeforCowplants -- apparently she's annoyed that she cannot name individual cowplants, despite being able to name things like bikes and roombas, and figured a shell challenge was a good way to get it trending on the gallery. She made a pretty nice little farmhouse out of it herself. I do not share her joy in cowplants -- I'm mainly hoping Plumbella does it because it's another house largely on a diagonal (LilSimsie admitted it looked like a rocket ship), and I want to see her complain about it again. XD
-->Wrote some more on "Londerland Bloodlines" -- Alice has dropped off her blood in the mailbox, e-mailed LaCroix to let him know it's there, and gone to The Asylum! She's just met Jeannette, and is slightly put off by the woman, though she's staying polite for now. Time to gear up for Ghost House shenanigans!
-->Watched Outstar's latest V:tM V5 clan video -- this one covering the Ministry, formerly the Followers of Set. They've rebranded because talking about Ancient Egyptian Gods isn't really the best way to get people to follow you in this modern world. :p They've also gone from an Independent clan to an Anarch-aligned one (after a kerfuffle where they TRIED to join the Camarilla, but were undercut by some sort of terrorist attack during the meeting and ended up being passed over for another clan). Despite all this, they're still in the business of corrupting (oh, sorry, "liberating") kine souls and back alley deals. Interesting stuff, to say the least!
-->Watched the latest episode of James's Animal Crossing: New Horizons LP -- everything is eggs (because he's quite a ways behind in the recordings and thus the game is gearing up for Easter) and he is suffering just a tiny bit. XD On the plus side, though, he set up a campsite for new visitors; bought some sweet duds at the new tailor shop; set up a new bridge; held a couple of dedication ceremonies for the new tailor shop and the new Resident Services building; helped a sick villager with some medicine; and made himself a sweet egg outfit. XD Good, calming times.
And now I'm just wrapping up my Valice Multiverse queue and the stuff in my inbox before proceeding to Friday Night Writing Thing. Tomorrow -- well, cleaning Saturday first of all, so yeah, gotta get THAT sorted. But then I was thinking more Fallout 4 and catching up on the Call Me Kevin, OXBox, and Gray Still Plays in my Watch Later. We'll see how everything works out! Night all!
