Work Day -- Go!

crossover_chickHad my day of working from home today -- even dressed the part in some of my long-neglected work clothes just to help distinguish it from any other day. It was -- busy, to say the least. And not in a fun way. :( More in a "I'm not sure if I can fulfill this e-mail request and it's making me anxious" and "why are these numbers not adding up right" way. I managed to solve both issues (I could fulfill the request, and the numbers look like they're not adding up because the report itself is wrong), but that didn't make for a good morning. (Didn't help that I could hear my parents having a fight outside for a little bit, then Mom getting mad because some fabric she bought to help make cloth masks turned out to be just some old dirty and stained bandanas.) And then the afternoon was largely taken up by doing a couple of batches, which was kind of a slow and tedious process (and a squinty one, as I was working off scans of copies of stuff). Basically, I have earned my one-day paycheck. Hopefully next week will be a little better!
With today being the designated Work Day, I didn't do a heck of a lot in other places online. (Reasons why I wanted to make sure my queue was set early!) But I did at least:
-->Get another page of edits done on Chapter 7 of "Secundus 2" -- Clara's getting all excited over Doc's "portable telephonics," aka the steampunk version of the walkie-talkies from Part II that reappear in Part III. XD She's even offering to sneak one out so they can test the range without Gillin finding out about it! She's such a lovable dork. XD
-->Watch a mini-marathon of GrayStillPlays:
A) The Guild 3, where he discovered that, due to a weird quirk of the AI, while you can't officially have child labor, if you put a child in a shop and let their AI run loose, they'll just automatically start making stuff for you. Cue his character Don knocking up some lady constantly to get a constant stream of child labor for his blacksmithing and metalworking shops. XD The only times he left the house were to bribe officials for titles and marry another lady once his first wife died. XD Oh Gray. . .
B) Cities Skylines, where he built a "toilet bowl" city in the middle of a USA map with the intent of flooding it and then draining it again to wipe the population clean. One of those videos where he ends up torturing HIMSELF as much as the virtual people, given all the layers of walls he had to create, and the trouble he had getting the water into the bowl. XD But on the plus side, we had cars flying off this one particular corner at the top into space! That was hilarious. XD
C) Car Dealer, where he created a car dealership -- and made like almost a billion dollars right off the bat by exploiting a glitch in the game where you can change the price just as someone's buying the car to something absurdly high. XD What, it was a bad Unity game, it was only to be expected. Bodyguards to lie down outside doing scissor kicks were hired; two sad bears were brought on as mascots; and the world's worst website was designed by some guy who knew karate. And then Gray completely broke the game, trapping everyone in his store as he lost the ability to sleep or get tired. Imagine a world where Gray never has to take breaks from torturing virtual people. . .
D) The Sims 4, where he set up a house divided -- Young Adults on one side, Elders on the other, with the goal of seeing which side died off first. It was a surprisingly close competition! Mostly because everyone kept setting their respective kitchens on fire. XD Though, honestly, it was the Young Adults who mainly died by fire -- the Elders kept wetting themselves and dying of embarrassment. XD But yeah, competition ended with the last elder setting herself on fire making grilled cheese, and a shocking eight Sims still alive on the Young Adult side. So, probably the least deadly GrayStillPlays Sims episode ever! XD
-->And currently finishing up my Valice Multiverse queue before clearing up what's in the inbox. Back to my more usual waking time for Friday, yay~ Also back to Sims 4 stuff -- might pop back to Eric and Andy for a bit, see if I can't get them that cat Andy wants (he's a Cat Lover). See how many pictures THAT produces. XD Also, again, hunting down more CC. . . I'm sure I'll keep busy! Night all!
