Barnes And Sims

crossover_chickWell, before heading off to Barnes and Noble, I got to play about a day of the Hill Valley Browns. Doc was up most of early Saturday morning, greening and cleaning. Once Clara got up, I let him go to bed. Clara made toaster pastries for everyone else. Jules and Verne took turns watching TV and taking showers while Clara worked on a painting before her carpool. After playing red hands with Verne, she was off to work. Verne baked another burnt muffin while Jules worked on earning some creativity skill. Doc woke up, had the last toaster pastry, then made friends with Jules and Verne via jokes and hugs. :)

Yup. Jules called up Marsha and chatted with her awhile while Doc did some chess studying and Verne relaxed. And that's when it hit me --
I'd messed up my "alternate days" system.
For some reason, I thought Clara's hours had changed! If Doc stayed home again, he'd be fired, and I didn't want that. So I did the only thing I could -- hire a nanny to watch Jules and Verne until Clara got home. That worked out pretty well -- the nanny cleaned and made jello. Verne quite took to her.
-M: *laugh* That just seems -- funny.-
I thought it was sweet. :) Anyway, Verne took a nap while Jules had his pal Marsha over. They played and joked and stuff until Clara came home. Happily, she'd gotten a promotion to Lab Assistant! Jules ran up and gave her a hug when she got home too. She dismissed the nanny, greened, and began working on her logic skill. Doc came home with 64 simoleons and started studying too while Jules napped. Pretty nice session.
Barnes and Noble gift card is gone. I managed to spend 50 bucks on two new "Dilbert" books and a Linkin Park CD.
-M2: Didn't your dad give you one of those for your birthday?-
He gave me Hybrid Theory, their debut album. I bought Meteora, which has the songs that got me hooked on the band.
-VD: *frowning* The same songs you can hear for free on the site?-
Hey, it'll be nice to hear "Numb" without having to have the computer on.
-VD: What's the difference? The computer's always on.-
*glare of doom*
Can't stay on too long -- my college advising day is tomorrow, and I have to check in at 8:45. Basically this means an early night.
-M: *mock gasp*-
Any particular reason you're all mocking me tonight?
-VD2: We're bored.-
On that note, where's MiniDamosCrawler?
-MDC: *looking a little annoyed* I was going to bug you, but then I saw you were writing Spidey.-
