Rough Thursday Is Rough

crossover_chickOne of those work days where I felt like I just couldn't get ahead! So much stuff in the inbox to sort through; issues with the GL are still showing up; I had to sort through the PDFs I was sent for "stuff I can read and stuff I can't" -- I got a fair bit DONE, it's just. . .bleh. It gets kind of draining after a while, even in your own chair in your own room. Kinda prefer keeping all this shit at the office -- it's just easier.
Anyway, that did take up the vast majority of my Thursday, so there's not much else to report -- though I did end up sneaking in more YouTube than expected:
-->Watched The Spiffing Brit break Civilization 6 as per a video gaydragonwizards shared with me via tumblr the other night that I didn't have time to watch then -- I don't know enough about the game to comment much on what he did, but it resulted in shocking amounts of gold, free army units, and lots and lots of science, so I think it was pretty well broken!
-->Listened to the latest Wyrd Sisters podcast on Men at Arms -- I'd actually forgotten the "Big Fido" stuff was in that book! So that was an interesting memory refresh. . .anyway, it was a fun recap and discussion, talking about the themes of racism and gun violence, and how the police in this book are depicted as being the sort of police you'd WANT looking after your interests. Some thoughtful stuff on how all of the characters are shown struggling with various forms of prejudice, and how Angua maybe could have used more character development but it's her intro so they'll be gentle, too. Plus a surprise Linkara clip, so I approve already. XD
-->Watched a couple more Fallout 4 companion react videos, like taking the gang to Walden's cabin at Walden Pond, and MacCready making a Ghostbusters joke if you take him to the Boston Public Library. Also a heartfelt conversation with Hancock, showcasing his relationship with his brother after a certain big reveal. Good thing I don't care about spoilers. XD
-->Also finished off Chapter 7 of "Secundus 2!" The gang has decided to just go to the festival and see if they're let in or not. If yes, great; if not, they'll just have their own party at Doc's. Obviously, they shall be let in, but they won't know that until the next chapter. XD So that's good to go!
-->Talked Fallout 4 mods with gaydragonwizards as well, since he's been playing the game longer than me (though on console, sooo. . .) Confirmed Unofficial Patch is a must, pointed me to an interesting mod regarding caps stashes, so. . . I guess I'll keep poking around for stuff I like too!
-->And I did a little queuing on my Victor Luvs Alice blog, and I'm currently working on the Valice Multiverse one over on tumblr.
And that's about the long and short of it! Gotta finish that up and clean up my inbox. Tomorrow -- cripes, tomorrow is MAY 1ST, where the hell does the time go. . . Anyway, tomorrow is more Sims 4 action (probably more building), and whatever videos I decide I want to watch from the Watch Later queue. Got some Kevin stuff, and a few more Sims videos. . .we'll see what happens! Until then, night all!
