crossover_chick: Doc in goggles and holding a big old plug with the words "feeling sparky..." (BTTF: feeling sparky/creative)

I think the fact that I wasn't unknowingly PMSing this time had something to do with that. Also less shit to do in general -- only one batch foisted upon me to get up, and I managed to do so! And a minimum of other requests, most of which I was prepared for. I even got a proper lunch break in which to draft some ask replies. Pretty solid day on the computer -- AND I got news about how they're handling the reopening. The stay-at-home order is expected to be lifted tomorrow (or Saturday), so they're opening up the Diocese to limited employees (with precautions -- you have to tell them you're healthy, wear face masks, clean EVERYTHING. . .you know, standard life in 2020 now). My supervisor has gotten me as someone to come in, so Monday I'll actually be going into the office for a few hours (very few -- it's only officially open 9 to 1) and taking care of things there. And then staying home on Tuesday because we're only open three days a week that first week. :p Hey, that's fine with me. Guarantees my paycheck, reduces the amount of time I spend out of the house, and breaks up the week while still allowing me time to do stuff like play games and watch YouTube videos. :P Easing us back into the regular swing of things.

Of course, spending most of the day doing a big batch and other work-related things means I didn't get a lot done on anything else. . .but there were a few things:

-->Watched a handful of videos on YouTube, most on the shorter side:

A) The new Vampire: the Masquerade Bloodlines 2 trailer! Which – honestly, I know Mr. Damp will still have fangirls after that opening, but yikes, talk about starting out creepy. I like it, though – gives the right mood to the game, and now it's got "Danke Schoen" stuck in my head. With Victor and Alice dancing to it, because, well, it's me and I have one and a half Bloodlines AUs for them (the official "Londerland Bloodlines" one, and my Fallout 4 crossover Tell Me Where To Find Shelter – though part of me wants to make that just a story title for any snippets and turn the verse name into Fallout Of Darkness).

B) Jay from the Kubz Scouts goes up against the Yandere Simulator Alphabet Killer Challenge again! And – sort of completes it. Allow me to explain – he learned some patience, started carefully slaughtering students, managed to get round some tricky moments early on with hiding bodies and such. . .and then, just when he hit 62 kills, his next victim proved unkillable. As in, Ayano glitched and was completely unable to slaughter him. Jay, after much troubleshooting, eventually gave up and resorted to an Easter Egg to finish killing the remaining students. A shame, really – but he did his best, and we can't blame him.

C) Jay going on another killing spree in Yandere Simulator – this one non-alphabetical, to reach the only ending currently in the game. This one's a "secret" bad ending that happens only if you manage to kill everyone but Senpai (including teachers and the nurse) on the first day of school – emboldened by her mass murder, Ayano officially kidnaps Senpai and drags him away into her basement. Um. . .at least this way she won't lay hands on your sister, Taro?

D) Mitten Squad speaking up on five missed opportunities in Fallout 4 – stuff like the opportunity not to figure out the Institute's "Father" is Shaun until AFTER you kill him and escape with the synth version; not being able to bond more with Shaun; not being able to join the Gunners or generally be more evil (unless you become a Nuka-World Raider, and even then apparently that's not evil enough for some people); and not being able to use the Memory Den for more "traversing people's memories" fun times. All fair criticisms, even if I do like the game as is.

E) And to offset the negativity, another Mitten Squad video about the seven best Fallout stories with no actual NPCs. Examples included the Gunners from "The Devil's Due" (the quest where you can return a Deathclaw's egg); the Dunwich building from Fallout 3 (where the supernatural starts getting up in your grill, and you get a look at more Lovecraftian side of Fallout), and the story of the Survivalist, Randall Clark (who had a super-shitty life where everyone he helped and loved ended up being killed. . .until the very end, where, as "The Father," he was able to help a tribe prosper and die content). Good stuff. :)

-->Got first draft of a gift fic written, yay me. Second gift fic tomorrow, then trying to do something constructive with the damn "Introductory Guide to Magic" on Saturday! I WILL conquer that fic if it's the last thing I do!

-->Got my Valice Multiverse queue sorted -- pretty easy with that break at lunch to get a bunch of replies drafted. So that was good.

And now it's time to answer some comments and just enjoy the next few days off. Mom's doing a house clean tomorrow, so I'll probably be pressed into service (vacuuming? I can do vacuuming. . .probably do my own rug quickly while I'm at it), but other than that -- plans are to binge-watch some YouTube videos I've been meaning to get to, finish up A-Maze-Ing Wonderland in Sims 4, and get more modding off the ground with Fallout 4. *nods* Let's see how it works out tomorrow! Night all!

I'm a little jealous you're still working despite being furloughed. For me, it was "No work anything after April 10th".

On the plus side...774 videos; January 2020. :/

Congrats I guess? It is a good thing that you're invaluable.

Just be careful and be safe. I don't want anything to happen to you. *hugs*
