A Big Taste of Summer

crossover_chickAnother day in the 80s -- very glad that I went short-sleeved blouse and skirt today! Also that the aircon in the car works so well -- needed it for the ride home this afternoon! I ended up skipping my yard laps in favor of playing the beanbag game with the fam -- Mom wanted to, and I was like "it's STILL a bit too hot" around 5, so yeah. We had fun, even though I had a LOUSY set of games -- I didn't even score until like three tries in in the second game! Fortunately, I can PARTIALLY blame it on us realizing later the boards were farther apart than we usually have them, but still. Gotta work on my throw if I want to start winning again!
Other than that, not much to report:
-->Work was stressful, looking for stuff in the mail bucket (did not find what I was looking for, but at least the darn thing is nice and organized now), trying to get certain checks on, and talking someone through what they gave because apparently they just don't understand what the heck they were doing with their giving. *sigh* Ugh.
-->Also, this morning I was dealing with Group Policy Client errors and ended up having to leave my computer on while I went to work to do a system restore. I THINK it's behaving itself now. . .we'll see!
-->Did make some progress on the Victor Luvs Alice queue this afternoon/evening -- Thursday through first half of Saturday is sorted, go me.
-->Oh, and I should share these with you guys: Part 1 and Part 2 of the A-Maze-Ing Wonderland Park! :D Better yet, at least one of the creators whose stuff I used was super happy about it, so I consider that a win. :)
-->Wrote some more on "Londerland Bloodlines" -- Helloween's old Tremere run DOES have all of Ocean House without any copyright claim issues, so I've switched to that for the time being. Alice has made it to the kitchen and picked up the diary that explains everything, and is currently fleeing being assaulted with pots and pans. She's not having a fun time with this haunting, and it's not about to get any better for her. . .

A) Fun With Shorts, featuring another weird and badly-animated "Mel-O-Toon," about a Persian prince who loses control of a flying mechanical horse and ends up rescuing a far-away princess. Josh's riffs always make these so much more fun. :P
B) James Turner indulging in his love of container homes with his early access Eco Lifestyle -- after he stopped getting distracted by cool debug items, that is. XD To be fair, I look at some of the debug garbage items, and I go, "hmmmm. . .if I really wanted to make my Fallout!Victor's lot look right. . ." XD But yeah, he built a very cool container home with a beautiful upstairs and a nice little greenhouse! :) I really admire his building skills -- inspires me to try and do better with my own stuff.
C) And a quick hop over to GrayStillPlays, who has discovered the MC Woohoo module to MC Command Center, and naturally chose to use it to force his Sims to woohoo each other to death as elders. XD Australia Man turned out to be particularly good at this, as pretty much ALL his woohoo partners passed the moment they got out of the hot tub with him (Gray's Sims woohoo pretty much exclusively in hot tubs -- I'm sure I don't know why). The sole exception was the one who managed to kill HIM. And then she outlived her other partner, so she ended up winning the day! XD Good work, randomly generated Sim!
And that's about it, really -- I need to clear out the comment in the inbox and head to bed. Did I mention that the other day I managed to have a bad dream about having INSOMNIA? Yeah, dream-me was awake at 3 AM and was feeling miserable about it. I think I need to start getting to bed earlier. . . Anyway, g'night!
