AKA, as of next Monday, June 1st, I work my normal hours again. It's still mask-wearing, disinfecting-all-the-things times, and it's still limited staff (aka just me in the front), but I'll be at the office Monday through Friday, 8:30 to 4:30. On the one hand, I do mourn the loss of having a little extra free time, and days where I could just stay home; on the other hand, it'll be nice to have my proper breaks at work again, and to not have to worry about taking home "homework" for certain days. I'd like to leave what happens at the office AT the office as much as possible! Get that work/home separation properly going again.

I did have a very productive Friday in the end -- caught up with about every check I had on hand, payroll deductions, a reversal, that check that was giving me trouble the other day. . .I'm in a good spot to jump in on some other stuff come Monday. And I want it known that I managed all this WITH my period starting mid-morning (I caught it before anything could happen, luckily) -- I'm not exactly known for my productivity when I'm starting the red curse! But I can manage when I must.

In addition to all that:

-->Today in YouTube – PLUMBELLA MARATHON! Yeah, I've been meaning to watch a bunch more of HER stuff, too, so again, wiping them out in one go:

A) Another build challenge, this one building a house using only stuff packs! Which, as it turns out, is totally feasible! Yeah, I'd forgotten that Fitness Stuff adds its own bathroom set, so the spot where I expected her to stumble actually turned out to be one of the better rooms in the house. XD There was – definitely a mix of styles going on there (the master bedroom in particular ended up very pink and blue, while the main living room was extremely beige), but it actually looked like a decent house in the end. Awesome! :)

B) "Should you buy Eco Lifestyle?" AKA Plumbella's honest opinion of the pack after getting an early access version for virtual Sims Camp. Her verdict was that she would have liked more of the more industrial stuff (given her own background as a Northern England girl), the new objects are still kind of too big, and children are just getting more variations on the same crap as always, but she likes the neighborhood voting, she likes the new activities, she likes the new traits, and she likes that a lot of the gameplay elements aren't limited to Evergreen Harbor. It's not a bad pack, and I look forward to trying it out myself, honestly. I think a pack that expands my off-the-grid options would be great for my Fallout!Victor in my new save file. XD

C) An "EA as usual has dropped the ball on these new lots; let's renovate" video – redoing a Port Promise container home to look more like the actual containers nearby and just generally blend into the world more. It turned out quite nice, not gonna lie!

D) "Plumbella judges EA's builds," which is always a good time – she does not mince words when she sees something she does not like. And she saw plenty she did not like in this video. XD As usual, the Sims team is doing things like placing windows just off-center, building weird winding staircases, refusing to put columns under balconies, and putting one random couch staring out the window in the middle of a container home. Just – just WHY, guys.

E) Another renovation, turning one of the community spaces into a children's play area! Accompanied by much bitching about how children don't have a lot to do in the game. Seriously, all we seem to get for them are variations on the dollhouse, and the drawing table introduced with – want to say Parenthood. It's kind of depressing sometimes. But Plumbella did the best she could with what she had, and it turned out pretty nice in the end! I actually like that she did an interior jungle gym (the pirate version) – it just made the place feel more like one of those "family fun centers," you know? Good stuff.

F) Giving Gemma Collins (a famous British celebrity who is – well, from what I can see, kind of a self-important snot who likes Boris Johnson) the life she deserves, because Plumbella is a fan of her and her trainwreckiness. XD Started off finding the right Sim on the Gallery, then the right house in Windenburg – then a quick move to Del Sol Valley to spoof the time she went to America and tried to become a famous actress (represented here with Simstigram and a bronze-level meet-and-greet), then a move BACK to Windenburg so she could get hitched to – honestly, I don't know, his name is Laurent and maybe he's her real husband. * shrug* Plumbella was having fun, that's all that matters.

G) And then, to finish up, back to her and RTGame in LEGO Harry Potter – now it's Years 5-7! And of course, given that we're in the latter half of the series now, where everything gets dark, things are a little more serious. By which I mean Sirius shows up, and Harry pulls his legs off trying to keep him from falling through the mirror. XD Also there is more wanton destruction, more RT questioning the logic of how the Potterverse works (namely, why can't students Floo into Hogwarts?), and more bitching about the Forbidden Forest levels. XD Always a good time in these games with these two!

-->Did some laps around the yard, as it wasn't QUITE as cloudy and ick as yesterday. Though still humid -- I managed thirty before having to go inside. Tomorrow's supposed to be kind of meh and rainy, and I've got to clean, so I'll probably take the day as a skip.

-->Wrote some more on "Londerland Bloodlines" -- Alice has managed to escape the kitchen and avoid the elevator of doom crushing her, collecting Ed's murder ax along the way! She's actually planning on turning it in to Therese to help make sure he gets exorcised, rather than using it as a weapon. Though if she needs it during the rest of her time in the house, she's going to use it. Now she just has to find Dorothy's pendant (and the skill book hidden in Room 211, because, well, why not XD).

-->And did my queue for Valice Multiverse -- a few asks, nothing major (which is good, as I've got some period brain going on now and need to save my energy for Friday Night Writing Thing)

And now it's time to wrap up comments and do said Friday Night Writing Thing for as long as I'm able. Tomorrow -- room clean, getting a few more things out of either Watch Later or Subscriptions, and more adventures in testing out Fallout 4 mods. Want to do something proper with the "Campsite" mod I downloaded now that I know WHERE you craft the stuff you use to actually camp! :D Should be fun (except the cleaning, but what can you do). Night all!
