Air Conditioner Season Has Started

crossover_chickWe're expecting a minor heat blast over the next couple of days, so my parents went ahead and put the air conditioners in. This is fine by me, as it means I'll definitely be able to sleep comfortably tonight -- it was already getting hot and sticky today, and while we're supposed to get a little rain overnight, it's not supposed to improve anything. Let's skip the "sweaty and miserable while trying to leech any sort of cool air from my fan" portion of the year, shall we?
Anyway, decent enough day, I suppose:
-->Work was a bit stressful -- GL worked out fine, yay, but there were issues with check scanning (our processing company ran into problems, and when I logged into the site myself, there was a warning, so I decided to wait until tomorrow morning), lots of e-mails popping up on my lunch break, and me stressing out over trying to get to those darn exceptions! I should have more time for that tomorrow, but damn. So much to do, so little freaking time. . .
-->Wasn't hot enough to keep us from the beanbag game -- we each won a game, yay. Mine was particularly satisfying because it was a surprise come-from-behind upset -- got three holes just at the right time! XD And then both Mom and Dad couldn't make the necessary score to beat me, w00. :p I did notice today that my left arm's gotten a little tight from holding my bags while I'm throwing -- though I think that was partly stress too, as I'm calmer right now and it feels less tense. Still, think I'll be glad when we finally switch to proper SAND bags, instead of the Rock Bags of Variable Weight.
-->Dun dun dunnnn -- finished Chapter 8 of "Secundus 2!" :D Yup, pushed myself a little and managed to knock out the entire "villains' POV" section, w000! It was mostly just more Gordon and Buford snarking at each other and Barkis then getting the better of both of them -- you know, the usual. :p So yeah, that'll be ready to go up Saturday evening, w0000~
-->Just a couple of YouTube videos tonight:
A) Episode 3 of "Rags to Redevelopment" -- Ambrose is not having the greatest life. He still hasn't fished a toilet out of a dumpster, so it's either use community lots or wet his pants; he's gotten a radio and a computer from dumpster-diving, but can't use either because his lot has no power; his social and fun needs are almost always super-low; he got a bike out of the dumpster but left it behind in San Myshuno after a very unsuccessful trip to the flea market; and his attempts at fabricating a desk were met with pretty much nothing but disaster. Poor guy, he's got it rough. But he ended the episode by getting a rooftop solar panel, so perhaps things are looking up? (Spoilers: They are not -- I know Part 4 features a fire on the lot already.)
B) LGR reviews Eco Lifestyle -- he actually thinks it's worth playing, as it has some fun features to it, but he bemoans the fact that the "eco footprint" thing has a relatively minimal effect on Sims and their moods, and he doesn't feel the gameplay is worth an "expansion pack" price. Part of me wonders if I shouldn't wait to get it until an Inevitable Sale. . .ugh, but I really want those new items to play with. We'll see how I feel tomorrow.
-->And now I'm catching up on tumblr tags, having completed my queues for the night. Just have to answer the comments in the inbox and I'm set! And then it's off to bed, and then I just have to get through Friday. And then weekend, yaaaay~ Night all!
