crossover_chick: Doc in goggles and holding a big old plug with the words "feeling sparky..." (BTTF: feeling sparky/creative)

I sent the latter a silly online card before I went to bed last night -- they thoroughly enjoyed it, so that was nice. :) And Mom made chocolate pudding for me and her for dessert tonight, so that was also nice. (Dad got strawberry shortcake, as he likes that best.) As for the former -- I come bearing fic! This was inspired by your post showing off all the heights of AL's various guys -- just a bit of silly fun featuring some stats I noticed while perusing the picture. Hope you like!

"Er – what is this?"

"Huh?" Lisa looked over at where Victor was pointing on her computer. "Oh, that's just something I did when I was bored and needed a way to fill the time. I found this site that lets you compare heights, and I got curious about my guys – and gal, now, with One-Three. So I found out all their heights and did a line-up!"

"Oh." Victor scrolled over, looking at the various colored figures as they went past. "Hmm. . .five foot nine, five foot nine, five foot eleven, six feet even. . .you seem to have a thing for taller gentlemen."

Lisa giggled, her wings fluttering slightly. "Yeah, well, if I can't be tall, I can at least hang onto people who are. With a couple of exceptions." She leaned over and drew a circle in the air around the blue figure of Thirteen, standing between a lighter-blue Jesse and a purple Clark. "I'm pretty sure she's the shortest of the group – only three inches taller than me."

"I think you're right," Victor said, scrolling on. He paused briefly on Doc's yellow silhouette with a smile, then continued to the end. "Yes, definitely the shortest. Wonder how she feels about that."

"Eh, I think if she knew, she wouldn't care. She's got other things to worry about."

"Fair enough." Victor went back for a moment, scanning over the numbers atop each figure. "Huh – is it just me, or do you usually go for men who are five foot nine?"

"I thought the most common height was six feet," Lisa said, frowning as she looked at the screen. "Go back again, slower this time." Victor obliged. "Okay, so for six feet, we've got – Nine, Twelve, Clark, Eleven. . .huh! That's it? I thought Doc – oh, wait, no, that's right, he's six foot one! Okay, so how many of them are that height?"

"Let's see – Doc, Gary, Ten, Five, Wesley. . .that's five," Victor reported, going back and forth. "And for five foot nine. . .Ryan, War Doctor, Coulson, Luke, Phoenix, and Eight – seven!"

"Okay, you're right." Lisa scratched her head. "And nobody's shorter than five and a half feet. I really do like 'em tall."

"Mmmm." Victor glanced at her. "I have to ask – does it ever get frustrating? Having the ones you love be so much taller than you?"

"You forget – I've got a lot of ways to make myself a little taller," Lisa responded, with a quick flutter of her wings. "Besides – does Alice ever complain about your overly-tall butt?"

Victor laughed. "No, she's just not shy about making me bend over." He grinned. "Though I do notice that none of your lot are as tall as I am."

"Hey, Erik comes close! Only an inch shy!" She nudged him. "Besides, having you over has made me think – I might need to update this list. After all, I've got Doc on it – might as well have some other friends too, right?"

Victor blinked – then smiled as it clicked, the tips of his ears turning pink. "I see."

"Plus, adding you gives me an excuse to add Alice too and have someone even closer to my height," Lisa added, smirking. "Yay."

"Oh, if that's the only thing you care about, just add Marty next to Doc," Victor told her. "He's five foot four, remember?"

"Oooh, yeah. . ."

--
Yeah, I noticed that five-foot-nine thing pretty quickly, and decided to see how common a height it was. . .and somehow that evolved into this story. I chose Victor to do commentary because a) he's kind of my main muse of the moment and b) he's the tallest of my own set XD So he felt suited to discuss other people's heights. But yeah, I hope you find it informative, if nothing else!

As for the rest of my day -- well, it's been busy, and I'm still working on getting stuff done, so let me try and just give you the bullet points:

-->Work was all right -- more phone calls than I was expecting, but hey, made the day go by. Got a bunch of checks on, got some other gifts on, just plugged along.

-->Stopped for gas after work -- took a few tries to get into the right position for the hose, but that saved me having to get out while other people pumping gas WITHOUT masks on were around, so win-win. Touched as little as possible and slathered my hands with sanitizer afterward!

-->Did my workout before supper, yay - getting back into the habit of that, good for me.

-->Made my muffins AFTER supper -- they came out nice! I can get some nice browning in our countertop oven.

-->Worked on some more of Chapter 9 of "Secundus 2" after that -- Marshall Strickland has made his appearance, explaining that he wants Marty and Jennifer to keep their wedding on track for tomorrow for two reasons: A) because he doesn't like anyone bowing their heads to Buford Tannen if they don't have to, and B) because it'll unfortunately be great bait to hopefully get the Tannens back in prison. Naturally, there are a few objections to this, but as Marty and Jennifer really do just want to get married already. . .a touch "necessary for plot reasons," but hopefully I build a good case for them doing it!

-->Time for another trio of Gray Still Plays! Tonight:

1. More Break Me Totally, as Gray finds new ways to put stick figures through hell! Like struggling to get Stick Spider-Man over a big ramp on a rocket in the middle of a meteor shower (and failing miserably). Or sending Stick Zombie on a rocket bike through a hell of giant pendulums and fans (and getting almost TWO BILLION points when a chunk of zombie essentially fused with one of the fans – Gray had to reset the level and give up the points, sadly, but it was still very impressive! And funny). This game is perfect for Gray and I hope he does more of it – I want to see all the boards!

2. Truck And Logistic Simulator – I dunno, that's what he called it. O.o It's a game about driving various vehicles and making deliveries in a reasonably awful "simulator." Except when Gray is playing it, and then it's about driving into other cars with your hot pink minivan; driving OVER other cars with your hot pink monster truck; seeing how far you can fling the packages you're supposed to be delivering, and destroying everything everyone holds dear with a crate mover. XD Now THAT is the right way to play that game. XD

3. Just Draw, a game where you either have to draw the solution to a problem, or just erase the problem. Two of the solutions you have to draw? NEW HEADS FOR PEOPLE. I'm serious – and only ONE is a stickman! Gray was – well, he was doing his best to abuse the system at every turn. Fish with arms holding guns; bowling ball heads; a keyboard that could barely be considered a box. . .it was all open season for Gray! XD Except for the guy whom you had to draw pants on – that's where he drew the line. Semi-literally – he didn't actually FINISH the pants when the game gave him the point. XD

-->Got the Wednesday Newcrest Adventures update sorted -- adventures of Emmett and Nikal at the flea market and dueling grounds, that's the ticket. :) And I should have plenty of time for more Sims fun this weekend, given it's a long one. Finally get a bit of my buffer back. . .

-->FINALLY posted another review for my friend's fic that I've been reading in fits and spurts. I feel a little bad about taking so long to review each chapter (though they're long chapters, and thus long reviews), but I know she tends to be fairly chill about this sort of thing, so -- lucky me.

-->And now I'm just sorting out my Valice Multiverse queue for tomorrow -- a LOT of anon asks today, along with a thread reply. And me with a headache. :( I took some meds for it as it seems mainly sinus-related -- that part's gone away, but my tight temple is taking longer to relax. Ugh. . .well, once I get this and my comments on here sorted, it's off to bed. Hopefully to get some semi-decent sleep. . .tomorrow should be a slightly calmer day, at least when it comes to my post-work schedule. Just got two full days and a half day to get through. . . Night all!
