In that my supervisor was back, and I didn't have a heck of a lot in the way of tasks (mainly "get these checks on"), but getting IDs and such for everything took longer than I thought, and I got some last-minute requests that meant I got out of the office a little later than I wanted. *grumbles* Ergh. . .at least I got the checks posted and everything arranged for Monday. Hopefully I can get a bit more on-track there!

Day improved once I got back home, though:

-->Weather was icky, but while it was humid, it never actually thunderstormed, or rained as hard as they threatened it would. Hell, it barely rained at all -- just little showers here and there. Kept us from the beanbag game, but still better than getting locked off the computer by lightning, let me tell you.

-->Played some more Fallout 4, after checking the rest of the mods I want to install for updates (two did have updates, so I'm glad I did!) I ended up doing some more exploring in Vault 88 for a while, killing various monsters and getting a couple of the secondary workbenches activated. Fought mole rats, ghouls, a LEGENDARY ALPHA DEATHCLAW (I died a couple of times to that one before finally taking it down with my shotgun), and a bunch of radscorpions -- which is where the game glitched out, as two of them I think phased through a wall. They still registered as enemies, but they weren't visible on the screen, and our attempts at shooting them didn't actually affect their health. *shrug* Bethesda! After that I reverted to an earlier save in Diamond City to test out the next mod I'd actually installed -- one that puts some of the traveling "random encounter" merchants in the Dugout Inn there so you don't necessarily have to miss out on what they have. Works as advertised, as I found and was able to barter with one of them, "The Scribe" (a former Brotherhood member who sells a lot of leather armor). Yaaay~ Working my way toward the heftier mods now. . .

-->Did a workout, go me~ Skipped the day right after my stomach issues to avoid setting it off again, but now that I'm back to myself, it's back to trying to keep up with at least semi-regular exercise.

-->Wrote some more on "Londerland Bloodlines" -- Alice has gotten all the information she needs off the Krimeputer, and has just found the Lightningbird in the parking garage, where she can snag Lily's diary and figure out where she's got to. Lot of fun stuff for Alice to do in the clinic soon. . . Vandal's not gonna know what hit him. :p

-->Today in YouTube:

A) Two from Call Me Kevin:

1. Tales From Off-Peak City – let me tell you right now that nobody, including the people who made the game, understand what is up with this game. You're apparently someone who has been tasked with stealing a valuable saxophone for a lady and her father, but along the way you end up in the pizza business, and weird things happen to the people who eat your pizza, and the pizza guy has a truly BAFFLING living area above and around the pizza place (with I think robot versions of his wife and child?), and – look, it's very confusing. Kevin was confused, I was confused, the protagonist was confused, we're all just confused.

2. Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter – Kevin gets all dressed up (from the waist up, at least) to solve some crimes as the world's greatest detective! . . .the world's greatest detective needs to get some VERY SPECIFIC pieces of evidence before he'll go in any bars, we discovered. XD But man, this particular game got dark VERY fast – Holmes was hired by a kid to find his missing father, and ended up encountering a group of rich toffs who were hunting poor men for sport and literally BUTCHERING them. There was some poetic justice in that the guy doing the butchering caught tuberculosis off it, but still. . . The ending was a choice between killing the toff or killing the father as the father tried to exact revenge – Kevin killed the lord first, then went back and killed the father for the canon "evil" ending. XD But maaaan – and this was just case one! I dread to think how far down the rabbit hole the rest of the game goes. . .

B) And then two from GrayStillPlays:

1. Speak To The Manager – a mobile game about being a customer service rep at – well, at a lot of places! You start out in your average store, then end up in an airport, a restaurant, a concert. . .the idea is to make people happy, earn money and promotions, and get happiness to "level up" your life. This includes making your apartment better, dating a girl you met at "the clubs," and buying a boatload of pets – including a gray wolf, a giraffe, and an ELEPHANT. It's – it's something, all right. XD Gray was very pleased with the ridiculousness.

2. More Sims 4! The winner of the homeschool challenge has been officially aged up and renamed (to Dee Minus, amusingly), and joined the Man family in the latest challenge – will a family of healthy-living Sims (new randomized characters) live longer than a family of hard-partying Sims (our favorite Man family)? The answer – yes, but just BARELY. You see, while the party side ended up succumbing largely to embarrassment from peeing themselves (because they were too busy doing drugs and alcohol), the healthy side ended up setting themselves on fire and starving to death a lot! So both sides continually evened out throughout the challenge, until finally it was one-to-one. Dee Minus finally dying of mortification in front of a sick Spleens allowed the final healthy liver to win, but he didn't look particularly happy about it, I gotta say. XD

-->And I just queued up all the anon questions I had for The Valice Multiverse -- I just gotta decide on a Song Saturday post for Victor Luvs Alice and answer comments on here, and I'll be all set on that front for the night! We'll see about the Friday Night Writing thing, as per usual. Tomorrow is a cleaning Saturday, so I expect my morning and early afternoon will be dedicated to that, but I'm hoping to get in some Sims 4 and catch up on my subscriptions (new Fun With Shorts and two new episodes of "Rags To Redevelopment"). I think those are reasonable goals.

Anyway -- time to finish up comments and whatnot. Gotta make the most of my free time here! Night all!
