crossover_chick: Doc snoozing on his couch (BTTF: exhausted)

I've had worse Mondays, but I've also had better. AKA work was busier than I'd like in the wrong ways -- namely, too much time spent on the phone with people. Especially since I was stuck on a couple of questions and unable to ask my supervisor about them because he was in a meeting. *grumbles* At least most of the stuff he forwarded me in terms of "call these people back please" were people I'd actually already spoken to! And most of the people I did call didn't have complicated stuff, it just all kinda piled up. And when you're PMSing and worrying about illness. . .

Eh. Had a decent afternoon, at least:

-->Came home to a nice air-conditioned house -- it was on the hot and humid side today, and Mom was busy cleaning, so no beanbag game. Ah well, gave me a chance to catch up on things and get an early start on some of my queuing.

-->And I did get in a workout! Keeping up with the exercise, yay~

-->I also have some new masks, courtesy of Mom -- now I don't have to worry so much about having just the one that I have to wash constantly. Good to have some extras!

-->Wrote some more on "Londerland Bloodlines" -- Alice has read through Lily's diary, gotten furious on her behalf at her sire Rolf (who essentially abandoned Lily after he'd turned her because she was a Thinblood) and discovered that her last entry, back in May, sent her to the blood bank. So now it's time to go bother Vandal to see if he knows anything about her current whereabouts. (He does, but he's not just going to TELL Alice. . .)

-->Actually got in more YouTube than anticipated!

A) Watched Linkara's two-parter on Zero Hour, the first sequel (though more spiritual than direct) to Crisis on Infinite Earths, which featured villain!Hal Jordan undoing all of time and reality with an entropy wave so he could remake it better, and the heroes -- kind of sort of teaming up to fight him? Look, the miniseries is unfortunately kind of a mess until like the last issue -- everything feels rushed, and I had a hell of a time trying to keep up with the plot. I think part of the problem on my end might have been "not a comics reader, so I don't know half these people," but still. Linkara said it's not a great event comic, but he likes it for a small moment -- an alternate Barbara Gordon, from a world where she didn't get shot, stating that, even if she's from an alternate time line, she still feels real. She still wants to live. It's just -- it's moving, given the whole event is about cleaning up the DC timeline in the wake of Crisis on Infinite Earths, meaning she can't just live. Not that it matters, given she dies anyway protecting a kid from villain!Hal's rage. . . *sigh* It's an interesting idea, but it's a sloppy execution.

B) And, despite that being a good hour, I still had enough time afterward to sneak in an OXBox video on tragic zombies they hated killing (like Drew McFarlane and his fabulous mustache from the Red Dead Redemption zombie DLC -- such a waste). So that was nice!

-->And I've just completed two out of the three posts that will make up my Wednesday Newcrest Adventures update on tumblr! Dunno if I can make the third before my self-imposed bedtime, but I think I can at least get the pictures in order and maybe some captions. :)

So yeah, afternoon has been nice and productive, I gotta say. Now I just have to answer comments here, and I'll be pretty much all set for bed! Hoping I sleep all right -- I woke up earlier than I wanted this morning, though I'm tempted to blame THAT on the PMS too. Ugh, I do hate having these bits sometimes. . .at least I feel semi-prepared for this one, though! I don't want another incident where I catch my period late at work and have to figure out how to deal with bloody panties in a panic (pro tip: if you have a spare pad, put it on on the bottom of the underwear to cover the blood).

Anyway -- got a few things to wrap up. Night all!
