crossover_chick: Doc looking very sarcastically over his shoulder (BTTF: in a sarcastic mood)

More trying to dodge people not wearing masks (or not wearing them correctly -- they go over your noses, jerks) at work, more fun with stuff like credit card information as we work to get PCI compliant, more just feeling generally overwhelmed by things -- welcome to extra-stressed out Vicky, courtesy of the pandemic and PMS! Ugh. . . At least the weather's supposed to take an upturn for the next couple of days? We had some short but heavy thunderstorms this afternoon, and tomorrow is supposed to start out humid but gradually get better as the day goes on, soo. . . Weekend is looking like the start of a heat wave currently, though. We'll see.

Anyway, afternoon has been all right:

-->Wrote some more on Chapter 10 of "Secundus 2" -- the boys have discussed all they're gonna discuss on the topic of Marty's wedding and Clara and all that, so it's time to start the action! With a scream from Emily, naturally. . .I actually ended up rereading the rest of the chapter for a bit after stopping editing for the day, and I'm honestly quite pleased with some of these actiony sequences. Those can be tough for me, but I think I did some good stuff here! And hopefully I can polish it all to a high sheen with all these edits.

-->Sims-themed YouTube today:

A) The Sims 4 Nifty Knitting Stuff trailer! As usual, they had a cool song that I enjoyed listening to (if nothing else, these trailers almost always have a sick beat), and I did think the trailer itself was fairly cute. Looks like there's a few different toys you can make – including Yarny from Unravel, because apparently that's an EA game! Had no clue! Well, he's adorable, so :)

B) Plumbella's reaction to the trailer: A solid "meh." She was not blown away by it, though she confesses to a bias in that she's not really into knitting. She doesn't like the look of the rocking chair, but she is intrigued by Plopsy, so she's willing to keep an open mind for that. But she's fairly disappointed, especially since she wanted to be excited. Eh, I hear you girl – good thing I kept my expectations low here!

C) James's reaction to the trailer: More enthusiastic (even if he was much more tired, living in Australia and needing to get up in the middle of the night), but again, the major selling point for him is Plopsy. He is planning a little Rags To Riches for it, though, so that'll be fun. :) And he caught Yarny's appearance too, so that's nice. XD

D) The next episode of "Rags to Redevelopment!" The theme of this episode was threefold: building a new container for the shipping container mansion to hold all the burnt items Ambrose picked up dumpster diving (this one's gone on top!); having a bunch of generator fires as multiple generators failed again (frustrating, but also a good source of cash from insurance money now that he can fix burnt things with the eco-vacuum); and LOTS AND LOTS OF YARD SALES (gotta clear out the personal inventory and sell all that fizzy juice!). He's also voted in a new fitness plan for the neighborhood, and changed the maker space into a marketplace for more selling opportunities. So yeah, Ambrose is keeping busy! And busy he must keep, what with the possibility of him needing a kid soon for the next Rags to Riches. (If James doesn't pull a "double duty" again, like he did with Katrina, who was Cats & Dogs and Jungle Adventure, and sort of with Bob, who was officially Discover University but ended up in the second part playing a lot with Tiny Living.)

-->Caught up on webcomics, then got distracted by some creepy AU horror stories that popped up in the Corpse Bride section of FanFiction.net, thus validating my decision to keep an account there. I have to admit, reading stories in that one fandom and the PM system is really the only ways I use FF.net nowadays -- AO3 is superior for actually posting stories, but its CB section is unfortunately small, and I'm more likely to get a fix on FF.net. Also AO3 doesn't have private messaging that I know of, and one of my friends is someone I talk to exclusively through FF.net PMs, soooo. . . *shrug* If it works!

-->Despite that diversion, though, I have just completed my Valice Multiverse queue, and made sure my Wednesday Victor Luvs Alice queue shalt run without issue. Oh, also, there was another fun Victor and Alice pic I discovered in the "corpse bride" tag (which I would be checking MORE OFTEN if I could SEE my tracked tags again, tumblr) and reblogged: Alice not appreciating she's caught feelings for this guy XD So that was a nice morning pick-me-up.

Okay, time to clear out the comments and head to bed. Hopefully tomorrow will be a little better -- I'll watch my videos, we might get in the bean bag game after work, I'll try to just be more chill. Which is -- not easy when you're almost on the rag, but I'll try. We'll see how it goes. Night all!

Ed brought this little paper butterfly home for Antoinette, and my first thought was "Ferdy?"
