Yeah, it ended up taking more time than I anticipated, due to:

A) A slightly late start -- I got going a little after 11:30 AM

B) Small distractions like dancing to songs on the radio and talking to Mom about some stuff as she did HER cleaning (which ate up little chunks of time)

C) Me taking a little extra time with certain shelves to take out extra-dusty bits (like some areas between my minimates that prove pretty hard to clean sometimes)

D) The usual "interruption for lunch," this time slightly after 1 PM

Yeah, between all that and cleaning just taking a while because I have a lot of stuff that I have to clean around (some of which is pretty delicate), I wasn't done until 3:30. *deep sigh* I mean, I know the cleaning has got to be done, but damn. At least I have the half-day Fridays to take the sting out of these days now! And the schedule where I only do this once every TWO weeks. . .

Anyway -- result of that was, I decided to skip video games in favor of catching up on my Youtube videos, with the intent of doubling up on Fallout 4 and Sims 4 tomorrow. To be fair, I did a good job with the YouTubery:

A) Started with catching up on the Call Me Kevin videos that I had in the old Watch Later:

1. Ooblets, which is an Epic Games Store game that, from what I can see, is "farming simulator with knock-off Pokemon who have dance battles instead of regular battles." ...you know what, I can dig it. XD Kevin can too, creating the old dude "Big Man" to come live on the island in an abandoned outhouse, doing tasks for the mayor and having dance-offs with the local Ooblets to gain their seeds! ...Yes, Ooblets are apparently specifically plant-based in this world – you grow new ones on your farm, apparently. O.o It seems like a fun, sweet little game, though, I gotta say – and Kevin's being sponsored by Epic Games to do a few of these videos, so I look forward to the further adventures of Big Man. :D

2. Destroy All Humans! – the new Remastered edition, that is. Apparently it has all of the original voice acting, and the world sizes are the same, but they've spruced up just about everything else from the 2005 edition. Kevin certainly seemed to have fun playing as Crypto the alien, infiltrating 1950s rural America. Drowning cows, sucking the brain stems out of farmers, kidnapping a beauty queen from a fun fair, burning down said fun fair, making policemen do the chicken dance, disguising himself as the mayor and blaming all of the former on bad luck and communism. . . XD Well, as he pointed out himself, he has a lot of experience destroying all humans in other games! So no wonder he'd take to this one so well. :)

3. Far Cry 2, a 2008 classic from Kevin's past that he randomly remembered and decided he wanted to replay today! Though what I think ACTUALLY happened is he remembered the title and realized he could do a so-bad-it's-good bit on punning with it. XD Most of the game as he played it was catching malaria, fixing a guy's car, using the car to run people over when he was supposed to be doing a stealth mission, committing grand theft auto multiple times after losing the original car, getting ambushed on his way to a date with the hostage he just saved, and getting one of his "buddies" killed testing out whether or not the guy would actually save him from danger. Typical Kevin stuff, in other words. XD Gotta love him in full chaos mode!

B) Then a skip over to the latest Fun With Shorts for "Self-Conscious Guy," from our old friends at Coronet! Haven't had one of these in a while, as Josh noted. It was your typical "how to overcoming your social failings" short, about trying to get more skilled and turn your mental spotlight off you when feeling self-conscious, but a fun ride with the riffs. Josh takes no prisoners when it comes to these kids!

C) And then, after supper, it was time to take on the three-part hour-and-a-half "Secret Empire" episode of Atop The Fourth Wall! And w00f, what a ride. I didn't know the full details on "Hydra Steve Rogers," but I do now, and they suuuuuck. Essentially, Cosmic Cube-turned-little girl is tricked by the Red Skull into partially rewriting reality so Hydra is doing better and Steve Rogers is one of their agents; fascist Steve takes over the USA and we get a lot about how "tortured" he is about being a fascist (ugh); Black Widow tries to assassinate him with a bunch of younger heroes but fails; another group of underground heroes led by a holographic AI Tony Stark try to get all the various cosmic cube fragments to try and remake the cube to convince the living cube to reset things and fail; only they end up succeeding once Hydra Cap himself gets the rest of the cube and Sam Wilson, as another version of Captain America, manages to spring a trap on him by giving him the one fragment they do have; Cosmic Cube Girl manages to reset reality and allow the ACTUAL Steve Rogers, resurrected from her memories of him, to punch Hydra Cap in the face; everything is okay again except that all the bad shit that happened still happened because fuck you. It's a terrible, overlong story (as evidenced by the length of the review), and doesn't even really understand its message (especially when it tries to show Hydra Cap doing GOOD, like – ugh). Linkara was rightfully angry and disgusted by it. And apparently he gets to go straight into ANOTHER bad event next week that will ALSO be a three-parter (I follow him on Twitter and saw the relevant tweets). So that'll be fun! *insincere grin and thumb's up*

D) As an aside, I also watched the "Define Dancing" clip from WALL-E because I was reading its TV Tropes page recently. It's as adorable as I remember and makes me think about my old WALL-E Valice AU. Who's surprised. XD

So that cleared out most of my "Watch Later" AND got me fully caught up on my subscriptions! I currently have only two videos in the former (though I expect that to increase to three just to catch up with the latest GrayStillPlays tomorrow), so that combined with anything that might pop up should put me in a good place for doing double video game duty tomorrow.

There's -- really not that much else to say about today, honestly. I didn't do any writing because I had a slightly-late shower (due to a slightly-late dinner), and I really wanted to catch up on the uber-long AT4W. Considering I'm on my period and thus kind of all over the place anyway, I think I can take it as a "scratch day" in the interest of making sure I'm fresh and ready to go for "Secundus 2" Chapter 10 tomorrow. I finished up the cake with a bit of chocolate ice cream on the side (which was delicious; I'd forgotten how good a combination those two desserts are in general). I'm currently doing a little light RP on Valice Multiverse, while preparing to answer DW comments over here and get the Secundus Sunday update queue for Victor Luvs Alice. Nothing particularly earth-shattering, and I don't expect that to change in the next half-hour. *shrug* Just fairly typical weekend stuff, really.

Aaand -- well, there we are. Time to answer those comments and whatnot! (While sneakily going into the past in my tumblr to read up on my WALL-E Valice AU. . .as if I need another AU bothering me at this moment. . .) Night all!
