crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (Default)

Mostly because I ended up more distracted by other things than I expected (mainly listening to pick-me-up music and TV Tropes stuff), so the only game I actually ended up getting to was Sims 4. Hell, I even got distracted in that, trying to find a good way to display the MySims collection Emmett and Nikal have picked up! House redesigns always take me so long, even when they're relatively small. . .ah well, I did actually play the family. Emmett had a good day at work (there was much abuse of his SimRay), he and Nikal got to watch the TV premiere airing that night (one of the little pop-up holidays), and Nikal successfully had her baby at the hospital -- she and Emmett now have a daughter, Julia!

. . .And then Emmett got abducted right after they got home, so now I get to worry about HIM being pregnant with alien kiddo. So far he hasn't exhibited any of the signs that Victor did, but -- it would be just like The Sims 4 to pull that on me in an awkward moment! (Victor, if you don't recall, got abducted and impregnated with Eliza the same day he turned into a vampire, and shortly after I'd moved the Liddell-Van Dorts into a new house that didn't exactly have room for a new addition yet. I made it work, mainly through the use of basements, but still!) Will have to watch him VERY CAREFULLY during the next play session. . .

Anyway! Apart from Sims, the following other things were accomplished:

-->Ended up rereading a bunch of snippets from the Forgotten Vows Verse pertaining to Victor getting over his mental traumas and his and Alice's wedding, because that sort of stuff is like comfort food to me right now, especially when I have anxiety spikes.

-->Did make decent progress keeping up on YouTube stuff:

A) Something quick and silly for starters – a vine compilation, where the vines reminded the uploader of various Call Me Kevin and RT Game/Daniel moments (also featuring Anna Rudolf, though I don't know who that is). Amusing vines that make me think of one of my favorite YouTubers and his buddy – yay!

B) Speaking of which, watched the latest Call Me Kevin video – Help Wanted, a game about playing through various jobs and making money! . . .to buy a transforming watch and become a superhero to stop a meteor that's about to hit Earth! Only this meteor keeps getting delayed by the strangest things. . .Kevin came to the conclusion that it was all a scam after he both a) repeatedly failed all the jobs he attempted (though admittedly, the Wiimote controls didn't help things – I nearly choked on my cookie when he was reduced to flailing about to pick carrots) and b) spent most of two weeks sleeping, only for Grampa to mysteriously find a watch on the sidewalk and manage to repel the meteor for another two weeks with his own superhero form. XD Very funny stuff, as evidenced by my nearly choking.

C) Onto the latest episode of "Rags to Redevelopment," which was a busy one! Started straight out with James having Ambrose take off his disguise and expose his true alien nature in an attempt to stop confusing him with Bob (guess what he called him later in the episode XD), along with a little CAS makeover to get him some better clothes in his alien form. Then it was straight on through trying for a baby with Lilith (she did indeed get pregnant, and later phoned him with the news she'd had a son, Isaiah); having two fires on the lot (the one generator that hadn't been made unbreakable, well, broke, and then later Ambrose had a standard cooking fire – he repaired everything with his eco-vacuum, meaning all the insurance money he picked up was pure profit); actually CELEBRATING A HOLIDAY (James went ahead and had him interact with the Flower Bunny on Orchid Day – giving it flowers and chatting with it actually fulfilled three of the four traditions, so for once Ambrose had a good holiday!); technically repealing "Modern Development in Grim's Quarry" (Ambrose was back to his bribin' ways – none of the signatures he got actually COUNTED, but James is convinced the game is glitched and decided just to cheat away the N.A.P. later); fighting with the fabricator over hydroponic planters again (the first one went fine, the SECOND one – was a bit of a struggle); and attempting to get ripped (no luck so far, but perhaps Ambrose just needs more cardio). Whew! No wonder it was nearly an hour long. Good stuff, though – especially when James over-reacts to the earthquakes that hit the lot because of the lot trait. XD

D) And another video of a guy screwing around in Fallout 4, with mods and console commands! Fun discoveries in this video are: if you try to leave Sanctuary Hills early, you just get nuked all to hell; if you summon deathclaws during the opening run to the vault, your neighbors can and WILL punch them to death; it is possible to become a cannon-wielding pirate with the right clothes and the Broadsider on your hip; and being a professional baseball player is a legit build when you have a legendary bat and all the perks on your side – you can literally smack the limbs off SUPER MUTANTS! Good times, good times. . .

This currently leaves me with three GrayStillPlays in my Watch Later, so we know what I'm doing tomorrow. XD

-->Wrote some more on Chapter 10 of "Secundus 2" -- Doc has made Dramatic Entrance and brought in his flying train Even More Dramatically. We're BASICALLY at the spot where I'd split the chapter (which would be right after the gang leaves the train station), so I have to see how I'd actually DO that on Tuesday. Don't think it'll be TOO difficult, but I want to make sure I have the wording right. On the plus side, this should mean this upcoming Saturday evening, you should get another "Secundus 2" update. :) *fingers crossed*

-->Just did my queues for Victor Luvs Alice and Valice Multiverse, so I'm good there. Still have to organize my pictures for the Wednesday Newcrest Adventures update, but that'll have to wait until tomorrow, given I've got work and thus have to go to bed a little earlier. (Really trying to stick to "off the computer by 11:30, in bed by midnight!")

And now it's time to answer the DW comments and hit the sheets. As stated, work tomorrow. *sigh* Well, at least this week's a little shorter than the rest. Gonna try and focus on catching up on anything that's backlogged this week so I can take my full Friday off without worry. (Mainly I just want the opportunity to sleep in and watch a few more YouTube videos than I normally would.) Hopefully it'll be an okay week. . . I think it'll be better just by virtue of my period wrapping up and thus maybe my hormones and paranoia going down a little. Ugh, I hate being so anxious. . .but that's 2020 for you. *sigh* Night all!
