crossover_chick: Victor leaning over to look at a blue butterfly in a glass jar (CB: i has a happy thing)

I mean, once again my making breakfast was interrupted by something (mainly, Mom and Dad bringing in some quick groceries they picked up, along with a new light for the basement -- why when I've JUST gotten up??), but other than that, pretty chill day!

-->Got my smoothie made once everything with the groceries was settled (the blueberries Mom bought popped open, and we had to make sure we found all the ones that spilled before they got crushed), so that was nice.

-->Hung out this morning on TV Tropes for the most part, just chillin'

-->Watched a bunch of the YouTubes:

A) A very cute video of RT Game, Call Me Kevin, and Anna Rudolf (another streamer friend of theirs that I don't know very well) hanging out at TwitchCon a year ago. Included Kevin and Anna being the world's worst tour guides, Kevin getting autographs from his fans, a panel with David Hasselhoff for some reason (??? I'm not sure the Hoff knew why he was there either), and Kevin and Anna getting RT some LEGO for his birthday and him being genuinely touched. :) Also ended with Kevin and Anna singing a Hoff-ized version of "Country Roads" while RT downed a drink. XD So sweet!

B) Couple of mini-vids from a guy going by ProZD, which I've seen on tumblr occasionally:

1. VERY quick and silly video about how easy a video game boss is to defeat when you've done all the sidequests and thus leveled up to "Full On Ridiculous" ("I – I found all 900 pinecones. . .") XD

2. A slightly-longer video about games where your choices just don't freaking matter (like when confronted with a baddie who is going to shoot you even when you manage to knock the gun out of his hand – "Good thing I always carry two guns. . .")

C) The main attraction of the day – OXBox vs Oxtra in Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout! Yes, it's not Hitman (which is usually what tempts me to watch one of their two-hour streams), but I have been enjoying other videos with this game, and I do love me Mike, Jane, Andy, Luke, and Ellen! Though this particular video only stars Luke, Jane, and Andy, aw – Mike and Ellen were on vacation, it seems. But let me tell you, it was chaotic ENOUGH with just this lot! Got a really good look at a good chunk of the games the little Fall Guys must go through – it really is like Total Wipeout or Takahashi's Castle or all those other weird obstacle course games. Poor Jane kept getting eliminated early or booted out of the game altogether thanks to glitchy internet; Andy did well but often fell near the last hurdle (he had particular troubles with Fall Mountain); and Luke did the best and came SO CLOSE to taking the crown in their last run – he was just narrowly beaten out by another bean. Ah well – it was still fun to watch! :) And they closed by doing a Disney Princess personality quiz where they had to match up princesses with partners not from their own movie to see which princess matched their personalities best (Jane and Luke both got Elsa from Frozen; Andy got Belle from Beauty and the Beast, which was amusing because apparently he thinks she's kind of a jerk at the beginning of her movie XD). Lots of fun, and worth spending two hours on!

D) Then, in the evening, we had a couple of Call Me Kevin videos:

1. Dude Stop – you know how, in The Stanley Parable, most of the fun came from winding up the narrator? Yeah, this is another game along those lines, only instead of having a set story, it's a bunch of pixel-art minigames and puzzles you have to complete. Kevin happily ignored all instructions from the narrator and got himself a bunch of terrible prizes in response, such as trash cups and smelly shoes. XD But as he said, making people frustrated soothes him, so he still came out feeling like a winner. And that's all that matters. . .

2. Night of the Consumers – a horror game about working the night shift in a retail store! Kevin, who has worked retail, naturally already knows all about the horrors of consumers. . .but not jump scare consumers. Yeah, basically the game is "you're a new employee, you need to stock shelves in a store while either avoiding customers physically grabbing you and demanding things, or getting them their things as quickly as possible to avoid being fired." The graphics are deliberately horrible and off-putting, the products have little secret messages like "get out" and "you're wasting your life," and oh yes there's at least one secret area where an employee apparently got bricked up and died in a storage closet. XD Poor Kevin – you could SEE his memories of dealing with people like "vacuum love man" in his eyes every time a customer grabbed him.

-->Played some more Fallout 4 -- cleared out the last of the Gunners in the transit station, did lots of mobile scrapping, and took the trip to Nuka-World!

Where I promptly got stuck midway through the Gauntlet you have to traverse upon arrival, because there seems to be only one way out of the radiation room hazard the raiders set up, and it's locked with an expert lock -- which Victor can't pick. *wince* I ASSUME there's a key somewhere, but damned if I know where it is, and I'm not about to die of radiation poisoning to find it. *grumbles* And I was doing so well too, shooting out turrets and disarming lots and lots of traps. . . I guess I just have to assume the damn bottle fix works. I really do want to move onto my other mods so I can get myself situated there once and for all and actually set up a PROPER playthrough of the game. Should write down the order in which I want to do some of the more major quests. . .

-->Did some more writing on "Secundus 2" Chapter 11 -- Victor has reached the girls, and Clara managed to get free of her bonds just in time to nail Buford in the crotch. XD Let's face it, we all wanted to see it! Victor's pitching the idea of using the Grasshopper Teapot tea to jump across to Doc's train -- the girls aren't sold yet, but a final explosion as the red log blows is shortly going to change their minds. XD Come on, I set up this domino -- I have to make it fall!

-->Updated my tumblr with the progress report on the aforementioned chapter (page seven out of ten! I SHOULD be able to get this done this week, especially since I'm pretty far down on seven and it's only just BARELY ten) and a notice that I'm just going to focus my queueing on the days I KNOW I can bring the content. So my next queue day is going to be Wednesday, to finish up Emmett and Nikal's update -- probably should get the pics for that done tomorrow!

-->And I've done my queuing for the Valice Multiverse, so currently I'm all set there, yay~

And -- yeah, that's about it for the moment! Gonna go cover whatever other comments I need to cover, and then -- *shrug* I've got Not Always Right up for some light reading, and I might go ahead and look for some Fallout 4 videos to watch. ("Settlers of the Commonwealth" is my next mod to install -- probably should look up some more info on that?) Tomorrow's plans are mainly catching up with a few last things on YouTube and doing more house reno in Sims 4 (I gotta make some progress with the Notamoron/McTest house EVENTUALLY). Long weekends are seriously the best. . . Night all!
