Not Too Bad A Monday

crossover_chickPretty quiet day overall, which is good -- FINALLY got some checks I was waiting on, so I was able to post a bunch of stuff that was sitting off to the side waiting. And I'm almost sorted with all of the exceptions, so -- progress? *shrug* And no close encounters with idiots, which I'm very glad of. I just did my best to just sit at my desk and do my work and avoid people. All you can do in the current climate.
Afternoon was pretty nice, though:
-->Didn't get a chance to work out, but that's because we ended up playing our game instead! Weather was beautiful, so we got out the beanbags and tossed them around. I, uh, lost every game. ^^; My best showing was the first game, where I actually hit 22 points -- in the next two, I struggled to break double digits! Not sure what happened there -- beyond some distracting noises, but that can't account for ALL of it. Yeesh. . .gotta get my hand back in!
-->Wrote some more on "Londerland Bloodlines" -- Alice has had a conversation with Mr. Stanley Gimble, and has agreed to meet him at his shop to talk McGee and hand modeling. Mercurio is insisting on coming with in a fit of chivalry -- Alice, fortunately, doesn't mind him tagging along. I'm going to have him wait outside just so Alice can have her initial talk with Gimble alone, but maybe he'll be part of the boss fight. We'll see where the story leads me!

A) Time for some Call Me Kevin!:
1. UFC 4 – Kevin attempts to recreate Turg as his fighter, ends up with the Missing Link. XD But his career as a no-holds-barred beat-em-upper went well! Whenever Kevin was controlling the other guy and making him cower before Turg's (oddly flexible) kicks, anyway. XD And the final fight was Turg vs Turg, so even though Kevin lost, he also won, in a weird way. Now that's how you stack the deck. XD
2. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone – on, uh, PS1? PS2? He says PS1 in the intro, but PS2 in the title. . .either way, it's that very difficult Harry Potter game he's been playing, and now we get to see more of it. XD And all its terrible, glitchy glory – I'm not sure how many times he had to reload the final boss fight because Quirrell just kept wandering away from him, or he kept getting put in with absurdly low amounts of health, but he was definitely feeling the frustration by the end! My frustration came from seeing the game REALLY doing Ron dirty, though – not only is he the only one caught in the Devil's Snare this time, the game ALSO has him GO AHEAD to the chess puzzle and then GET KNOCKED OUT before Harry and Hermione even catch up, just so the player can do it all as Harry. Uuugh. >( Do not approve! But then again, it's easy to not approve of things related to HP these days * eyes its author*
3. Random games he's never actually played from his Steam library! Yes, this was as hilariously terrible as you might imagine. We had Deadliest Catch: The Game (made with Unity, and apparently without crabs as Kevin couldn't catch a single one! Admittedly the first couple of times he tried without using BAIT, but. . .); Bad Rats (a terrible physics puzzler about rats killing cats, featuring – less than pleasant stereotypes?); and Broke Protocol: Online City RPG (multiplayer game about being a murdering, thieving citizen of a city that looks straight out of the Family Man world, with Kevin snatching up cars and helicopters, and committing quite a lot of murder – but he also got murdered a fair bit, so it's all okay). XD Good times, good times. . .
B) And then a video from The Leaderboard about the Fallout timeline (done before Fallout 76 launched) that – well, I learned that Wonderglue should have come on the market in 2016? :p Seriously, it was no great shakes, nothing I didn't already know about.
And then I've been basically getting distracted while catching up on my webcomics (the latest "Sluggy Freelance" has a lot of reference links) and discovering new Corpse Bride fanfic on FF.net (I really gotta catch up properly with Player Piano's stuff) then scrambling to finish up my Sims pictures and get some drafts sorted before heading to bed. Fortunately I have finished the pictures (forty -- makes sense, this covers the new house and them celebrating New Year's), and I'm just doing the drafts now. Getting the pictures in order, will finish up text tomorrow. . .you'd think I'd learn to keep track of the time better, but nooope. *shakehead*
Anyway -- gotta finish up that and answer my DW comment of the night. Two more full days to get through! If they're like today, we should be okay, I think. Night all!
