Gotta keep up with the BTTF week, especially since this particular one matches up with 1885. :) I'm actually planning on watching BTTF III on Monday with the fam, in case I didn't mention it before -- should be fun! Been a while since I've seen any of the movies, so it'll be good to refresh my memory. :)

Anyway, let me give you the round-up for the day:

-->Work was fairly quiet -- did a lot of roster maintenance, helped a few people on the phone, and brought to my supervisor's attention a bunch of stuff I've been watching with the credit card transactions, so there's a meeting planned for that next Wednesday. Aaaand it looks like, tomorrow, I'm good to work til 12:30, and then just take my lunch break and go home! I don't often do stuff like this, but -- it's the last half-Friday of this year, weather's supposed to be nice, saves me from having to take a lunch, and I just want to start my long weekend that little bit earlier, damn it. I have put in the hours, I can skive off a little early if the circumstances are right.

-->Rained this morning, then turned sunny this afternoon. . .but no beanbag game, because my parents got a wall mount for the living room TV and were busy getting that sorted. So I hung out and did a round on the exercise bike. Yay for keeping my fitness up, I suppose! :p

-->After another delightful episode of Taskmaster (seriously, watch the show -- they've got up through episode 6 of series 7 on YouTube officially and it is amazing), wrote some more on Chapter 13 of "Secundus 2!" Victor has recovered from his fainting fit and is being checked over by the doctor. . .and has received the news that yes, he has a son. :D Let joy be uncontained, yay! We're officially about halfway through now (on page 6 out of 11), with Victor needing to meet his kid and the whole business of the name to go. If I continue at my current rate, with about a page a day. . .with my current alternating schedule, it'll probably take me a little over another week to finish, so let's say you'll see the completed version on September 19th at the latest. *thumbs up*

-->Then went for a somewhat Simmy look at YouTube:

A) Starting with – Plumbella reviews the Journey To Batuu game pack! She is – not pleased. Basically, her review boiled down to "CAS is largely disappointing, with maybe a couple of nice items; same with Build & Buy; the gameplay is a MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT, especially if you're not a Star Wars fan because hens I was SO CONFUSED." Apparently most of the world is just pretty-looking shell (uuugh, I am reminded of the Magic Realm), the missions get repetitive fast, and there's no easy way to advance if you're not familiar with the SW universe in general. Plumbella ended up CHEATING her way through her jobs and aspirations because she just wasn't having fun! So yeah – I will happily watch James play the thing, but for me, this is going in the "I Do Occasionally Have Standards, EA" pile with My First Pet Stuff as a never-buy.

B) Speaking of watching James play the thing. . .he, of course, also got early access to the pack as a Game Changer, and put Trash through her paces checking out the gameplay! He's pretty enthusiastic so far, but he has reiterated that it's a shame that the world doesn't have more than THREE ACTUAL LOTS (and none of them you can actually build on!) and is mostly shell. But he's enjoying working Trash up the ranks of the First Order, and getting missions and whatnot. Will say that it's a good thing to have the missions work like Odd Jobs you complete – hopefully that means there's a little more variety with them. But we still also have the "aspiration as gameplay guide" thing going on. . . I dunno. I like watching him play, but it doesn't change my mind about getting the pack. (Why wasn't this a spin-off?!)

C) And then it was over to Call Me Kevin and Just Cause, a very old game that is – interesting to play, let's say. Especially if you're Kevin. XD Refuse to open your parachute and drop into the water? Not only will the game let you swim to where you ought to be, it will spawn ten million boats for you to steal. Worried about the subtitles going too fast in a cutscene? No worries, the subtitles will lag for AGES behind the action, giving you plenty of time to read them! Swapping your weapon? Hey, try jumping at the same time, see how high you can get? But never, EVER get out of your car in the middle of a chase, as you will die from mysterious causes. XD Basically this game is a glitchfest and it's great. I'm so glad he's going through his old unplayed Steam games, it's yielding a lot of fun stuff!

-->And then after that I FINALLY found the time to answer that one FF.net PM that's been sitting in my inbox -- it partially involved talking about the friend's fanfic, so that's why it took me so long. One thing I'm gonna have to try to do this weekend is review my OTHER friend's fanfic -- I literally started the stupid review of the second-to-last chapter ages ago, I need to FINISH it! Damn me and setting expectations high for novel-length reviews. . .

-->And now I'm finishing up my Valice Multiverse queue (could actually reply to my threads today, since I wasn't absolutely drowning in asks and also had some free time because half my evening wasn't eaten up with baking) and getting ready to answer my comments on DW before bed. Still struggling a bit on not waking up an hour before my alarm, but at least after tomorrow I'll have three days where I won't have to worry about that! Ah, precious sleep, how I have missed you. . .

Okay, time to wrap things up so I can hit the sheets. Four hours tomorrow, and then I am FREEEEE~ Just gotta make it until then! Night all!
