Small Irritations Monday

crossover_chickThe day itself wasn't particularly bad -- the GL is back on track, and it was pretty quiet for most of my shift, leading to me doing more roster maintenance stuff -- but there were a lot of little things annoying me, like my coworker just refusing to shut up or getting interrupted just as I was trying to eat my snack. Ugh. I mean, I've had much WORSE Mondays, but still -- a bit "ugh."
Ah well -- it's one day down, at least. And the afternoon was pretty good:
-->Played some more beanbag game, despite it being decently chilly out -- I, uh, didn't win or come second a single game. Dad won three, and Mom won two. I'm tempted to blame it on the cold, but I think I was just having an off day. Meh. Hopefully tomorrow will be better! Should be a bit warmer, anyway. . .
-->Started work on "In A World Of His Own" today! Nice to be back with the Forgotten Vows Verse Valice pair. First chapter is in the Living Dead Forest -- Victor and Alice were having a nice game of chase until Victor accidentally ran into the ravine, and now that they're at the bottom, they have to fight some Cannery Snarks. Fun times for the whole family! XD But hey, the whole point of the story is to explore more of Victor's Otherland and meet some of the inhabitants, and I've already decided that this chapter is about meeting the personification of his anger, sooo. . . (Don't worry, in a positive context -- he shows up to help Alice fight off a Snark that's surprised her.)

A) Starting off with more Among Us from Call Me Kevin! Today was "Pacifist Kevin" – well, mostly, he went ahead and killed people in one early game just to try and win. XD But after that, even as an impostor, he tried to stick to his guns about not directly murdering anybody, even naming himself Peace. And he made a new buddy, chloeebie! :D They even got to be impostors together a couple of times – though chloeebie proved not to be as committed to peace as Kevin. But they did win a few games together, so that's the important bit. :) This game is so much fun to watch with him – I'm really looking forward to the next one.
B) And then a mini GrayStillPlays marathon:
1. More Solar Smash – anyone want a donut-shaped Earth? :) Gray made a few different attempts, trying to get the perfect donut without actually killing EVERYONE. It took quite a few tries, but via abusing the slow-time system AND discovering that some interesting things happen if you reset the planet mid-disaster, he managed it! And now he has a whole new way of playing with the game, involving resetting the planet so horrible things spawn INSIDE it. . .
2. Beat The Boss 4 – a weird South Park-esque game (at least in the character design) where diarrhea guns are a thing, apparently. Ew. Oh, but it is so much more than that. . .the conceit of the game is killing annoying coworkers/bosses in a variety of strange ways. I mean, you have your ordinary guns and axes and whatnot. . .but there's also the diarrhea gun, the flame sword, the Canadian mosquitoes, the sea urchins. . .yeah, Gray was trying to get every weird way to slaughter someone that he possibly could. It was baffling, and yet – very funny. Part of me kind of wants to get it just for bad days at work.
3. More Happy Wheels – yeeess, one of my favorites returns again! With a bunch of bottle flips (Gray's getting good at these), an epic spike fall, and – oh dear – a ball throw that is secretly followed by a jet fall. Gray spent SO LONG trying to get that one to the end. . . And then there was the wind tunnel that closed out the video, where he kept getting harpooned right at the EDGE of the finish line. Almost had another total crack-up moment. XD It was great.
-->And I just finished up catching up on webcomics, tumblr, and getting my Newcrest Adventures update started in the drafts. Though, back on the topic of little annoyances, I had to do a couple of the draft posts twice because tumblr refused to save them. Not sure if tumblr being an ass or my internet connection -- either is plausible! Ah well, done now -- did turn out to be three-and-a-half-updates, btw (35 pictures). Next one in the pipeline is gonna be even bigger, simply because it's the Love Day double dates.
And now I'm posting here before finishing up by clearing out my comments and hitting the sack. Three more days to get through. Just hoping I sleep okay tonight -- last night was. . .well, I had weird dream about cutting off the top half of my thumb and having to stick it back on with electrical tape. (I, uh, trimmed my nails the other day, and one of my thumbnails gave me some real issues?) And while I woke up thanks to my alarm, I recall waking up BEFORE that, so I suspect I woke up EARLIER than ever and just happened to manage to fall back asleep. *shakehead* I don't approve. Hopefully this weekend I can have a ghost of a decent sleep schedule!
But that's for later. For now -- comment, then bed. Night all!
