Okay I Guess Monday
Oct. 5th, 2020 11:27 pmI spent a lot of time bouncing between computers as people were calling in with credit card updates and whatnot, but it wasn't TOO insanely busy, and I got everything sorted, so -- progress? *shrug* Rides in and out weren't too bad, either. . .but then I got home and Mom and Dad had had a bad day with some arguing and that meant the atmosphere in the entire house was tense. :( No beanbag game either, given it had rained earlier and never dried out enough. So yeah -- I've had worse Mondays, but I've also had better ones.
At least I got in some good stuff stuff this afternoon:
-->Usual low-sweat twenty-minute bike ride after Dad was done working out -- keeping up the fitness!
-->Got through some YouTubing:
A) Back on the bike, back to Jon's Fallout 4 Survival playthrough. With the help of sneak attacks, running to find places to hide after said sneak attacks, and activating a friendly Protectron, he was able to kill most of the raiders in Corvega – including main target Jared. He went back out through the pipe into the middle of a radstorm, took on a Mr. Gutsy, and went to provide "Fire Support" at the police station for Danse and his crew (since he's thinking of doing the Brotherhood ending for this particular playthrough, simply because having that kind of backup is good in Survival). That – did not end well, as he'd forgotten the feral ghouls attacking the place were actually higher-tier enemies (Roamers and such), and thus was rather more outclassed than expected! And then he ended up dying to a poorly-thrown molotov. XD So it was back to his last save at the end of Corvega – on the plus side, he managed to avoid the radstorm, find a nice pharmacy with goodies, and skirt around most things trying to kill him. Left the episode with eleven minutes to go as he looked for a bed to save in before trying the police station again.
B) And for the evening, I had a fair amount of GrayStillPlays to catch up on:
1. More Universe Sandbox 2, this time playing with the new updated water systems! Specifically, flooding the Earth with water (because you gotta start somewhere), increasing the density of said water (until the Earth more or less destroys anything near it before collapsing), pelting it with water (you pelt it with enough drops fast enough, and it'll go supernova), and firing a single drop of water at two billion times light speed at it (the drop actually goes THROUGH the Earth, and everything freezes, eventually gets set on fire, and eventually dissolves in a glorious shower of space dust). SCIENCE! XD
2. Take Me To Dead, a 3-D take on the "break the bones of this innocent stick figure" genre of games! . . .Yes, this is a genre now, live with it. :p This one involves lots of boards with bouncy balls, giant fans, smashing blocks, steam to keep you in all of the above, crossbows that fire arrows so fast they can fling you off the board, office chairs, and trucks full of TNT. Also the stick figure is a lady now, with boobs. Oh, and there's different camera modes, so if you want to see what it's like to be Stick Boobs going into one of these hell boards. . . Gray was very, very pleased. XD
3. Moooore Happy Wheels! :D We had bottle runs that were claimed to be impossible, but Gray still played them. We had JET ENGINE runs that were claimed to be impossible, but Gray still played them. We had a bottle flip themed around Gray and his other magnificent bottle flips, and you'd better believe Gray still played THAT. Basically it was a smorgasbord of horror, death, and blood, and I LOOOVED it. XD These videos are simply the best.
4. And then – back to Universe Sandbox 2 for the video he uploaded today, which involved setting out tiny explosions of fire in the billions of degrees Celsius just to see what would happen. The first few didn't amount to much except little patches of ash, but as soon as he cranked up the heat – well. The water just evaporated off the planet, for starters, and huge chunks of it went flying off. Gray actually took this as a challenge to restore the Earth to a life-sustaining state by throwing water and atmosphere at it. . .and then promptly detonating 100 of his super-bombs all over it. Because he's Gray. XD He's so fantastic, seriously.
-->Wrote some more on "In A World of His Own" -- Mr. Explorer has brought Victor and Alice to see the giant butterflies by the river, and is about to show them how you can ride one. Which he's named Ferdinand, of course. XD Look, this place is basically the equivalent of Secundus!Victor's lab, what do you expect?
-->Just did TWO draft posts for Victor Luvs Alice -- one for Wednesday's post showing off some of my wizard tower renovation, and one for Thursday with a couple of ideas I've come up with for the AUs currently frontmost in my mind (Londerland Bloodlines and Tell Me Where To Find Shelter/Fallout Of Darkness). So I'm slightly ahead of the game. . .
Which is good, because my Firefox apparently just crashed? *sigh* Time to answer what I can before needing to hit the hay. We'll see what Tuesday brings us all. Night everyone.
