Got Outta There Thursday
Oct. 29th, 2020 11:02 pmAnd I am glad of it -- while most of work was just me being wound up for apparently no reason (stupid brain), I did encounter a very worrying glitch with a couple of our systems, that shall need investigating. But it can be investigated while I'm at home, thank you very much. Especially since the weather tomorrow is supposed to be pretty damn miserable -- we're due some snow! SNOW! Not a lot, not anything that should stick, but SNOW! Uuuuugh. . . Bad enough the radio is already talking about "Santa Streams" and whatnot (and hoo boy, am I going to have NO patience with Christmas music this year), I don't need snow in October on top of it all! Especially since it makes me worry about the kind of winter we're going to have. . .
Anyway -- made it through the day, out of the rain, and back home. And can't really complain about my afternoon:
-->Did some time on the treadmill, keeping up my workouts~
-->Watched some of the YouTubes:
A) More of Jon's Fallout 4 Survival playthrough as I hiked on the treadmill today! He finished clearing out the ghouls that needed clearing from the station underneath College Square, then went back and handed in his quests to the Brotherhood (musing along the way that Rhys may have been trying to get him killed – he's openly hostile to the Sole Survivor). He picked up the "Lost Patrol" mission from Danse, then headed back over to Hangman's Alley to drop stuff off. Then he headed back over to Oberland Station to steal their tatos, with stops along the way to kill a random named enemy (Absalom, got me -- according to the wiki he's just a random hostile encounter), and investigate the alien's crashed spaceship (which looks pretty awesome at night, not gonna lie), kill the alien, and steal his blaster. (Though, according to him, it's not really that useful a weapon compared to his current kit, which is kind of a shame – it's really cool!) Then it was over to Diamond City for mutfruit and more tatos (plus some armor modding, as he got some combat armor out of clearing out the ghouls), another quick stop for fertilizer, and then – bam! New level on Hangman's alley, and he had himself a vegetable starch farm! So now he has all the adhesive he could ever want. :) Back on the road after a save, he swung by the Boston Library to take care of Daisy from Goodneighbor's quest to finish clearing out the Super Mutants (not NEARLY as terrifying now that he has his Slightly Excited Pistol), then it was into Park Street Station to clear out the Triggermen and save Nick Valentine! This is – proving harder than Jon anticipated, and he has come very close to dying multiple times. XD Your fault for just charging in thinking that since they don't wear great armor, you can just do as you like, buddy. But hey, he got an Enraging combat shotgun out of it, so that's fun! Hope to see that in action in a future episode. . .
B) And this evening it was time for some Gray Still Plays, featuring:
1. Pregnant Mother Simulator – Virtual Pregnancy Game – yes, one of THOSE mobile games. Though it's actually got very little to do with pregnancy and more to do with taking care of your baby. Your horror baby surrounded by hell toys, including a very high knockoff Care Bear. XD Gray was in fine form, mocking all the things and doing his best to get the baby in the oven. Best part was at the end, where the game glitched out enough to give him FOUR ARMS. Oh, you have to love these super-terrible mobile games. . .
2. More Universe Sandbox 2 – Gray was throwing literal curveballs at the Earth. As in, launching actual baseballs spinning at 10 times lightspeed to – I'm not sure what you'd call it, but it had a one and 69 zeroes. Times lightspeed. Most of the smaller ones did little damage, but a moon-sized one screwed up Earth's spin something major. And that last one. . .well, the atmosphere immediately evaporating was the LEAST of the damage it caused. Gray wanted explosions from his little experiment, and by God he got them! XD
-->Also, watched the latest episode of the latest series of Taskmaster, which was a hoot -- especially the final task, which involved catapults. Or, well, should have involved catapults, but one of the contestants. . .it's kind of impossible to describe. Let's just say she tried just about everything under the sun, unsuccessfully, all while Alex was cracking up. XD
-->Wrote some more on "Londerland Bloodlines" -- Alice and Bertram Tung have gotten to know each other a bit, and Bertram has filled Alice in on the deal with the warehouse. As Alice doesn't have the Astrolite on her, and she'd like some time to prepare for the mission, they will shortly agree to do this mission the next night, and that will leave me with one quest and one chapter to go in the Santa Monica section of this sprawling epic. About freaking time, huh? XD
-->And now, after catching up on webcomics and researching things for my new computer, I'm working on my Valice Multiverse queue and preparing to answer comments. Nice to be able to do that without feeling like there's a deadline hanging over my head! :)
Tomorrow: Well, I'm not sure yet. My plan for gaming was going to be a Fallout 4/Sims 4/Fallout 4 sandwich this weekend, but I have a lot of Sims 4 videos to catch up on, and tomorrow might be the best day to do it, given that we have movies to watch on Halloween itself. So maybe I'll do Sims 4 tomorrow with those, along with catching up on some other videos. One thing that must be watched this weekend, though, is OXBox "Hallowstreaming" Bloodlines! Two hours, but damn, I want it. Maybe I should watch THAT on Halloween, in between movies? Decisions, decisions. . .
Anyway. Time to finish up that queue and answer these comments. Night all!
