Yeah, as is per usual with me taking or otherwise getting an extra day off before a regular weekend, I keep having to remind myself it's not Saturday. Saturday is TOMORROW, Vic. *shakehead*

But yeah, it's been one of those days where I've had trouble getting myself to do the things I planned to do. I can blame this on four things:

1. The puzzle we're working in the living room, which has sucked me in a couple of times today to find pieces for it -- on the plus side, I got some good chunks of it done, so go me there?

2. Helping out with my computer order -- admittedly, this did not take AS long as expected, but Mom making sure she could buy it the way she wanted ate up some time. On the plus side, computer is ordered, has some of the nicer fancier stuff, and should be here either late next week or the week after.

3. A general feeling of "I would like to just sit around, read TV Tropes, and play games on my iPad, thanks," which I entirely blame on the fact that I'm stressed out a lot because of Everything (tm), and my brain just wants a vacation.

4. THE FACT THAT IT SNOWED PRETTY MUCH ALL DAY. I'm serious -- we were only supposed to get a BIT of snow in the morning, and it didn't stop snowing until like FIVE in the afternoon. We got at LEAST a couple of inches -- fortunately the roads are clear, as it mostly stuck to the grass and trees, but still! Very glad I stayed home! Although let me tell you, this makes me worry about what to expect for this winter. . .

I did get a FEW of the things I planned to get done, done, at least:

-->While I didn't catch up as much as I wanted to vis-a-vis the Sims 4 videos I have piling up, I DID at least reach my quota regarding James Turner:

1. Latest episode of Rags To Redevelopment! James is calling himself a "family LPer" now, as he forces his toddlers to take care of themselves as Lilith goes on a knitting frenzy and Ambrose stays literal days at Britechester to sit in on skill classes to get a promotion. XD Ah, gotta love Bigwallet family chaos. . .to be fair, though, a lot of good happened in this episode! While Lilith unfortunately never skilled up to the point of being able to knit a new baby onesie (the main reason for James to have her knitting), she did get pretty far, and successfully had a new son, Candle! Who is an alien like Ambrose instead of a vampire like Lilith, so that's cool. Ambrose successfully got his skills up via a combination of actual skilling and classes, and got promoted to the top of his career! He also successfully made two children's beds on the fabricator, which – if you know how often that thing breaks down – is quite the feat. Isaiah and Brodie are successfully skilling, the family conquered its mess problem by hiring a maid (whom Lilith finds delicious), Ambrose is THIS CLOSE to finishing his aspiration. . .yes, it's been a long, hard road to this point, but I think we're almost ready to close the book on this chapter of the Bigwallet family. And just in time for Snowy Escape!

2. Speaking of which. . .we have the word on his involvement with Snowy Escape, and – to no one's surprise – it was in the realm of building lots! Apparently he, Deligracy, SimLicy, and LilSimsie ALL built every lot that actually has something on it in this new pack – twelve lots in all (plus two empty lots). He told us a bit about the process (apparently there's some sort of object limit that you're not supposed to exceed?), showed off his starter home (which looks really nice and shows off the new "platforms" feature – my only complaint is the color scheme is REALLY tan), and showed a bit of how it evolved (including jokingly accusing EA of stealing an idea of his to create a path going in a circle around a tree, which was added to the world itself). And I'm happy for him, since he's clearly super-excited to have some of his builds be "official" and all. . .but I'm also worried this is setting a bad precedent. Because. . .

Did he and the others get paid for this? Or has EA found even more ways to get the Sims Community to fix its games for free?

Sorry, it just – it kinda rubs me the wrong way. If they did official WORK on the pack, they should be paid for it, otherwise. . .but I don't know if he'll ever say. *grumbles*

3. Similar thing with the third video to catch up on – this one focused on the Lounge lot he built (originally in the wrong place due to a mix-up), starting with a speed build of his original concept, then a look at the finished product in-game, which is WAAAY different. Again, it's a very nice lot, WAY better than the kind of lots we typically get from EA. . .but, well, see my earlier comments. It's hard to full-on enjoy an awesome build when you're thinking about that sort of thing.

-->I did also play some Sims 4 myself, going back to my Newcrest Victor and Alice and their family -- nothing too special, really. Alice was at work and the kids asleep most of the day (Saturday, so they didn't have school and went nocturnal with their parents), so I sent Victor to Oasis Springs to do some fishing and collecting. And Eric Embers randomly dropped by for the evening -- Victor got a drink off him, and apparently Eric has divine plasma. Would explain why he was constantly being attacked by vampires before. XD But yeah, I need to come up with some activities for this lot to enjoy. SimCity Founding will be part of their turn, but that's not gonna be for a few in-game days yet. . .

-->And now I'm finally finishing up my webcomic trawl (yes, THAT distracted) while keeping an eye on Valice Multiverse (which is quiet as hell, which is good) and comments I have to answer (one on DW, and a friend of my from tumblr is leaving LOTS of reviews on the Forgotten Vows Verse as a whole, so!). Gonna try and get a bit of that done before I head to bed tonight. . .

All right, tomorrow -- Halloween! Not that it's going to be much of one; we're staying in and not doing any trick-or-treat related activities. Lights off, shades closed, all that. I do intend to throw on an old costume, though, and we have two Mel Brooks movies to watch: Young Frankenstein and Dracula: Dead And Loving It. I also want to watch the OXBox V:TMB Hallowstream, and if I can swing it, the two episodes of Ashock the Fourth Wall Linkara uploaded today in a desperate attempt to actually do his Halloween storyline before Hallowen. XD So yeah -- don't expect to game tomorrow with all of that on my plate, but that's okay. I'll pick up with some Fallout 4 fun on Sunday. :) Definitely DO want to do some writing, though -- maybe work on trying to wrap up my "Londerland Bloodlines" chapter? Hmmm. . .

Anyway! Time to try and finish off my catching up. Hopefully motivation will be better tomorrow! Night all!
