crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (Default)

And you gotta catch 10:04 on the day Marty scares the shit out of his father as "Darth Vader" from "planet Vulcan," then proves himself a skateboard hero and gets Biff to crash into a manure truck. I mean, it's only right!

The reason I was late catching it was because I was still watching my big YouTube video of the night when it hit, mostly because my stupid computer froze midway through. Not sure WHY -- it didn't even FULLY freeze until a few minutes in! Working now, but -- bleh. At least the new computer will be on its way this week -- supposed to be tomorrow or Tuesday, I believe! I can survive with this thing until then.

Anyway, things to report on this Sunday:

-->Woke up this morning to the house shaking like a giant truck was going by -- learned later this evening that we had a frigging earthquake. 4.0, off the coast -- went straight through the state. Yes, sure, why not, it's 2020

-->Started early on the YouTube, though didn't get to watch QUITE as much as I'd planned:

A) Started with something to celebrate the recent news – I marathoned all of SNL's election-based cold opens about Trump vs Biden and Harris vs Pence, plus one "Weekend Update" about Biden's win. It was all very funny (Jim Carrey is an excellent Biden!), and provided some good laughs this morning.

B) Then it was over to Call Me Kevin to start clearing out his stuff in my subscriptions:

1. The Political Machine 2020 – because we may as well start off topical, right? XD Kevin initially wanted to run as a giant meteor, on the "Giant Meteorism" platform (kill all humans and give frogs the vote), but then discovered you could make your own candidate – and that it was very easy to give said candidate VERY EXTREME features. (The ears can be like a mile away from the head!) So he made "Future President," ran against a guy on the "Lunacy" platform, and – lost in a landslide because he wouldn't stop talking about how he wanted to kill all humans. So he tried running against HIMSELF, and – still lost because he wouldn't stop talking about how he wanted to kill all humans. Took a few tries, but eventually Kevin realized the key to winning was to focus on the "frogs should be able to vote" portion of his platform and was able to take Texas and the presidency. XD Well, thanks for throwing your hat into the ring, Kevo! Not really that different from the regular election. . .

2. More Among Us! Today's gimmick: pretending to be new! Not in the "too obvious total troll" way, but just being generally confused and pretending not to get the game. It ended up being a good look at the general way AU players treat newbies – one, called strawberry, happily took Kevin (as "New Player") under their wing; while others found him annoying and kept calling for him to be kicked. The episode ended with Kevin as impostor being outed by some cheaters, and then, upon calling them out on it (again, subtly, by pretending he's new), they banned him. Lovely community this game has! (Okay, sometimes it's legit lovely, but come on. . .)

3. A sponsored video for Oculus Quest 2, featuring virtual reality team battle royale shooter Population: One! (Yes, I too thought that should be a solo battle royale shooter instead of working with other people, but whatever.) Kevin happily dove right in after a hilariously awkward unboxing, and promptly started making friends with group hugs and bananas. He and his teams even won a couple of matches, due to Kevin not being QUITE as incompetent as he looks sometimes. XD It was very fun and very wholesome, and I quite enjoyed it. :)

C) And then, this evening, it was once again time for Jon's Fallout 4 You Only Live Once run! And Ms Finalley does continue to live, though with some extra damage from a raider's gunshot. Just the one, though! Today was all about hunting – hunting mole rats at the robot scrap yard where you can find a sentry bot friend, and later at Starlight Drive-In for Preston to set up a new settlement; hunting raiders in USAF Station Olivia (for the Abernathys' locket) and in Corvega (for the settlers of Tenpines Bluff); hunting radstags hanging out in this corner of the map for their precious, precious meat; hunting leaks in "Glitch Quarry" (aka Thicket Excavations) for Sully (after taking Aquagirl, of course, to stop swimming being an excellent way to take rads); hunting for Preston to turn in Minutemen quests (he was down in the river under the bridge again! Why does he keep ending up there in Jon's runs?). Jon showed considerable grace, agility, and panicking skills as he did all this hunting, particularly with the raiders – like I said, exactly ONE gunshot wound to show for all of this. And he encountered some bastards throwing MOLOTOVS. He's very lucky the run didn't end this episode. But yeah, things are good – he's got lots of delicious meat, he's got a couple of settlements to bunk down in, and he even picked up a bit of Cunning raider armor off a legendary radroach in Olivia. Next time he's heading farther south, to Graygarden and Oberland Station – we'll see how it goes!

-->Played the beanbag game again after lunch -- aaaand I arguably did worse than yesterday despite some strong starts, only taking second once. *wince* On the plus side, Mom managed to stop Dad from wiping us out -- he took three games, she took two, with three seconds. So yeah -- again, would like to blame at least some of this on my period, not sure if I really can.

-->Played some Fallout 4 this afternoon (after getting through both Steam AND Vortex needing to update) -- braved some of Fort Hagen to get the stuff for the USS Constitution! Took out the Synths without dying, though it took me WAAAY too long to figure out how to get into one room whose door was chained from the inside (turns out I had to take the long way around the crumbling building). Got the stuff, and picked up a few new items of armor and whatnot, which led to me fast-traveling back to the Red Rocket near Sanctuary to do some modding. So that save's Victor has some better armor and has improved his guns a little, so that's something. Also, Rust Devils remain an issue, damn it. At least the Red Rocket has a good team in Ada and Dogmeat to take care of the bastards! Along with some turrets I built.

-->Got my muffins made -- with the help of my Mom, who was making spare ribs and chose to put together some of my ingredients for me while she was waiting. :) So that cut down on the time I needed to spend making them, w000~

-->And currently scrambling to get at least some of my Valice Multiverse queue done tonight before I have to head to bed because it's a work night. Damn it, where does the time go?? ...Well, I know where SOME of it went tonight, thanks to that computer freeze. *grumble*

Anyway -- yeah, better get on that and my one DW comment that needs answering right at the minute. At least this week is a short week, if split up a bit weird thanks to my day off falling in the middle of the week. But you know what, I'll take it -- two days on, then a day off, then two days on, then two days off isn't bad. Especially if, as stated, my new computer comes before said day off and I can set it up then.

Right now, though, gotta focus on catching up. Kind of the theme of late October/early November. . .not sure I approve. Meh. Good night!
