Happy Marty Scares Doc Day

crossover_chickAdmittedly, Doc's hilarious reaction to discovering Marty back in his home in 1955 after sending (a slightly younger) him back to 1985 is not really on my mind, as I am currently busy doing the important work of FINALLY getting my personal files onto this computer -- a slightly tricky process, as I have to make sure as many of them go on the D: drive as possible, because my C: drive is much smaller in comparison and it's already looking kind of full. But I've got my documents, my pictures, videos, music, and backed-up game saves all in place. Though I ended up firing up Sims 4 briefly to create the folder to move my saves and such into. . .
Fucking thing opened in seconds. SECONDS. That game has NOT opened so fast in LITERAL YEARS. O.O I am so used to having to wait literal MINUTES for everything to load that -- okay, even with the ridiculous speaker thing, I have decided this computer was a good purchase. And if ALL of my games load that fast. . . Oooh baby. I think I'm going to have a fun weekend. :D
Okay, to business so I can wrap up and do the Friday Night Writing Thing with my tumblr friend (who wants to get to bed a bit earlier, so I'm trying to get to it a bit earlier for them):
-->Work turned out to be fairly frustrating, with me dropping things on the floor and having to navigate various ridiculous nonsense with credit cards and returns and the like. Uuugh. . . I mean, it fits with Friday the 13th, but still. . .
-->Came home, got in another bike ride, yay~ Well, yay for everything except my butt, which kinda hates me. XD

A) More bike, more of Jon's Fallout 4 Survival Playthrough! Finished off episode 17 today – after turning in a couple of Minutemen quests (and getting one he can’t complete, because the location was already chosen as a Railroad safehouse), Grills Bears loaded up Preston Garvey with junk and sent him to Hangman’s Alley. He scrapped some stuff at the Castle, then showed off how lovely vertibird travel is in Survival with his new signal grenades, noice. :) Took a trip to the CIT Ruins, then from there hiked to his Hangman’s Alley base to drop off his power armor and do more gun modding – in particular, turning an Instigating laser gun, Old Faithful, I believe he got from the Brotherhood into his new main sniper weapon as it is much lighter than his traditional sniper rifle. This required the use of some fiber optics, however, so he took a detour down to Jamaica Plains (using another vertibird to get as close as he could via the technical college, then walking the rest of the way – and turning into lunch for some bears at one point. Fortunately he’d found a bed nearby to save in!). Killed a bunch of the ghouls there, then looted all the laser tripwire traps for their fiber optics and finished upgrading his kit! Also, Preston got stuck in a tunnel nearby because he wandered in between some cars. XD So that situation may or may not be sorted in the next episode. XD
B) Then time for a bit more Call Me Kevin with King of Retail! Another one of those games that looks like a cheap Unity game, but has surprisingly complex gameplay? At the very least, Kevin found hiring people to be largely guesswork. . . Anyway, Kevin made his manager, Store Man (definitely not an alien!), and set up his store – Among Us posters on the windows; beer, computers, and pants on the shelves; and a maze for customers to get trapped in in the back. Everything was going well until Kevin made such a massive loss he was actually in the negative digits – and with three loans to pay back, he chose instead to barricade himself and his three employees inside. XD Good classic stuff!
-->And the rest of the evening has really been doing the file transfer stuff (my Sims 4 screenshots HAD to be moved to the D: drive separate from the rest of my files for that -- mostly because I have 18 GB worth of pictures, which wouldn't OVERLOAD C:, but it would take a decent bite out of it!), testing that game, and catching up on webcomics. Gonna answer DW comments and Valice Multiverse asks, then do the thing. Tomorrow -- finishing up file transfers and prepping for games, and testing to see how they run. Also any YouTube I can fit in (I HAVE to catch up on subscriptions!), and trying to get back on track with writing, since I haven't been lately. Ah, busy Saturday. . .hopefully it'll end with me in a good place, computer-wise! Night all!
