Welp, Saturday Not According To Plan
Nov. 21st, 2020 11:11 pmAt least in the sense of "I didn't get my intended gaming done" -- mostly because it took me until almost 4 PM to finish my cleaning! And I started earlier than usual today! *grumps* Granted, there were good reasons for the delay:
-->Me being extra careful dusting so I didn't break any toys (again) or do anything bad to my new computer (unlikely but hey)
-->Being called away to finish the puzzle because, after I spent my morning smoothie time working on it, my Dad picked it up and had gotten close; we ended up finishing it shortly before lunch
-->Being called to lunch, with the latest episode of Taskmaster to watch (not the strongest entry in the series, though there were some funny moments -- Katherine in particular is a treat)
-->Going out after lunch to play the beanbag game -- I remain rusty enough to not win any games, though I did manage to come second three times in a row. Dad won the day with three wins and a second, while Mom had two wins and a second. Gotta take advantage of any nice weather we get!
But yeah -- by the time I finished all that AND my cleaning, it just -- felt way too late to really start giving anything a go. So instead I went a different route:
-->Caught up on my tumblr and whatnot this afternoon
-->Answered a FF.net PM I've been meaning to get to
-->Wrote some more on "Londerland Bloodlines!" Yeah, decided to get to it early. . .and I've been meaning to switch my last "Londerland Bloodlines" day from Sunday to Saturday for a while now. Makes more sense to have the "free" day on Sunday, since the thing I'll probably want to use it for is Fallout 4-related snippets. . . Anyway, got through Bertram talking about the Camarilla, LaCroix, and Therese's beef with him (via looking through a LOT of videos of the various conversations you can have with him and all the voice lines he has), and I'm getting to wrapping things up with him talking about the Anarchs and the Kuei-Jin a bit before they reach the actual warehouse. Good times. . .
-->Well, I can get ONE thing at least partially done on my to-do list – let’s marathon some GrayStillPlays!
1. Starting with my favorite game, Happy Wheels! People continue to make insanely hard boards for Gray to complete, and Gray continues to COMPLETE them. I mean, the very first level contained a fake jump, a Segway bottle run, a harpoon run, two fake finish lines, and a spike fall. That’s – yeah, people want to see Gray suffer at this point. XD Which is good, because watching him suffer is goood YouTube. My favorite bit was him struggling his way through an impossible glass challenge (full of spinning blades of glass), then spending probably AGES trying to get his now-prone character up that one final hump to the finish line. The stress in his voice as he declared he would NOT give up was something else. XD
2. And now onto another growing favorite with a similar theme, Turbo Dismount! More impossible boards here, starting with a “fling yourself to maximum height” that Gray accomplished with a couch on casters, of all things. But yes, among other things, we had Gray Matrixing his way through four railroad tracks (on a scooter), Gray finding the right way to fall down a pit of mines without hitting a single one (on a scooter), and Gray scootering his way through a road lined with mines (on a scooter). Scooter was the star of the show, is what I’m saying. That and Gray’s inability to ever say die on one of these challenges. (Well, he can SAY die, but he refuses to accept it.)
3. Stickman Hello Stars 2 has joined the family, as a weird combination of the “draw the missing piece of the puzzle” game and “murder these stickmen in creative ways” game. Basically, you have bombs, you have stickmen, you have a “theoretically” limited amount of ink (Gray later discovered this was a lie), you must unite items one and two using the third. And of course, Gray chose to draw rather – juvenile things to do so. XD Except when he couldn’t because there were obstacles in the way. Much fun was made of his artistic talent, or lack thereof. :p
4. Moooore Happy Wheels! :D Which means more impossible boards for Gray to suffer on. Like a speedbump board that can send you directly to hell, or prolong the agony with arrows and swinging balls of doom. Or a casino where you can fling your children into certain death before experiencing it yourself. Or – you get the idea. Though we did have a lovely new bottle flip with Gray getting some bottles into some unlikely places. Like through a tiny gap right next to the bouncer thing and into a secret area! He really is amazing at these, it’s kind of terrifying. :p
-->And now I'm doing some RP stuff over on Valice Multiverse and preparing to answer any other DW comments I have, while trying to get a head start on getting Sims pictures for Wednesday sorted. Yes, I am as confused by that bit of productivity as anyone. :P Though, admittedly, I am also eying Nexus Mods for Fallout 4 mods again, because that is how I roll. :p
Anyway -- to work! Might as well ride whatever productive energy I have to the end and see if I can get some stuff done. Tomorrow -- BioShock Infinite, Sims 4 (dunno if I'll do a full play session or just hop in to see if the game explodes), and setting up Fallout 4 via Vortex again! Also Jon's "YOLO" run and catching up on Call Me Kevin. Hopefully attainable goals! Night all!
