Ahh, it feels good to be home for a while. :D Morning was a little stressful, it has to be said -- got in, just managed to get to the office this time before getting another envelope from Fiscal. >.< Fortunately this one had a check in it, not cash, so that was a little better. Then the rest of the time was spent trying to figure out the best way to handle things for our "work from home" days at the beginning of next week. I think we've gotten things all sorted -- we have a mini-version of the GL to work from, and I managed to scan and e-mail myself some obituaries to handle over the break without needing to bring the actual newspapers home, so, win? We'll see how it all goes!

Got home around 12:25 (was a little late getting out again, sadly), got changed, then:

-->Helped out a bit on the puzzle until we had our lunch (watching a compilation of the best "prize tasks" on Taskmaster because BritBox wouldn't load for QI -- fortunately the latter was back on track for supper)

-->Worked on my puzzle calendar pages and managed to figure them both out, yay

-->Played Fallout 4! :D Though, as has become usual, it took some fiddling -- mainly, because when I booted up the game, not all my saves were there. I was absolutely baffled as to what was going on -- until I realized my saves for the game are being stored on the C: drive. Instead of on the D: drive, which is where the game, Steam, and Vortex are actually installed. *facepalm* I don't get this computer sometimes. . .

Anyway, through the magic of having mirrored all my stuff from my laptop to my external hard drive to this computer, I had back-ups of my saves -- once I located the folder they were supposed to be in, I dumped them in there, and was able to continue my "mod-testing" save for one last mission!

Game promptly crashed when I tried to fast travel. Twice.

Baffled and concerned, I tried rolling back to a slightly earlier save, then wandered around the Commonwealth, doing the Drumlin Diner "Order Up" quest (sided with Trudy after failing to convince everyone to end this peacefully) and popping into ArcJet to confirm that, yes, I could enter buildings without issue. So I tried fast-traveling again, and -- worked this time. I was able to finish the "Last Voyage of the USS Constitution" quest without a -- actually, shouldn't say that, I died once, so one hitch. XD But the boat moved on from the Savings and Loan to a new building gloriously, and I went over there and received my Lieutenant Hat reward. :D And then promptly got stuck in a place I couldn't get safely down from while trying to kill some Super Mutants taking pot shots below us. XD So yeah, that's where that Victor ends his save, unfortunately. Fortunately, I have recovered my NEW Victor save, so once I make some notes on his stats and the perks I want to take first with my earliest levels, we'll be golden to properly start The Official Playthrough! :D And I have to say, game plays well on the new computer -- one of my main gripes, the "static" glitch all over the screen whenever I crafted, is gone, yay! :D Seems to load a bit faster too, and doesn't stutter on start-up anymore. I am pleased. :)

-->Watched some YouTube -- specifically, I am FINALLY caught up on the Call Me Kevin side of my subscriptions! Observe:

1. Back to Bitlife! Yeah, remember that? Kevin did, and he also remembered his days in retail and dealing with the entitled “Karens.” So he decided he wanted to see what it was like on the other side and became a Karen himself! Karen Demands, specifically. Karen – had something of a rough life, it had to be said. After a childhood of depression and reporting bullies to the principal, she became a junior insurance agent, only to lose the job when an acquaintance tricked her into drug smuggling. Then she became a cat consultant, only to be constantly hemorrhaging money thanks to her 36-year-old used olive Honda Odyssey. She had two kids with her long-term boyfriend, Elijah – Baby and Prison – tried to propose to him at a friend’s wedding and got rejected, then they broke up because of her bunions. She had multiple botched surgeries, gave up Prison upon being pepper sprayed by her (Prison was six), then finally managed to land herself a potential sugar daddy – only to die because she decided on a whim to try crack cocaine and ended up overdosing. XD Kevin played a bit of Baby’s life to wrap things up, but Baby didn’t have any better of a time – he was fired from his job for excessive flatulence, became very very ill because of COURSE his mother didn’t vaccinate him, then attempted to poison his father only for Elijah to swap the drinks and off HIM instead. Epic stuff. XD Also Kevin’s microphone kept escaping and it was pretty funny.

2. A pair of games that are kind of like Among Us (in that there is at least one traitor among your group and you have to suss them out) in an attempt to wean himself off his addiction (yeah, sure, Kevin. . .)! First one was Project Winter, a very well thought out survival Sim with wild animals and “traitor chests” – Kevin made a new friend in that, Capo, who happily helped him learn the mechanics of the game and generally played babysitter. It was honestly rather sweet! The second one, Stowaway, didn’t result in any new friendships but did result in adorable googly-eyed sailors. This one was much more like Among Us, only set on a ship and with people voted off via cannon-fire. XD Things were much more confusing in this game, mostly due to lower player counts, but it was still amusing, and Kevin seemed to enjoy himself. XD

3. A Spongebob Squarepants fan game that’s, uh, a little bit differently. Namely, you’re playing Mr. Krabs, and everyone is either addicted to drugs or peddling them. Or both! Specifically Ketamine. You’re supposed to go through gathering up pill bottles, doing tasks for different characters, and finally fighting Plankton in his giant robot. Apparently whether you win or not is up to an internal coin toss, and if you lose, the game just crashes. Guess what ending Kevin got twice in a row. XD A very WEIRD game, but I’ve seen him play worse, sooo. . . XD

4. And Who Wants To Be A Millionaire! Yes, there was a game of it. Yes, it is absolutely horrible according to the reviews. But that didn’t stop Kevin from trying to play it! In Italian! XD Okay, he switched back over to English pretty quickly, but he honestly didn’t do much better in that either. Mostly because they kept asking questions like how many US states begin with a “T.” (It’s two, by the way – Kevin could not for the life of him remember Tennessee existed.) He managed to consistently get to a $1,000 payout by the end, but after that? Well, let’s just say phoning a friend or asking the audience never worked out for him. XD Aw, poor Kevin – no millions for you.

-->Wrote some more on "In A World Of His Own," wrapping up the "Paino" fight -- Victor and Alice have taken it down with a combination of Orphica and Ice Wand, though Alice nearly got an arm snapped off while trying to take out its strings. Still, they succeeded in the end, and now all that's left is for Victor to name his new weapon and the Conductor to give them a victory concert. :)

-->Got a couple of posts in the queue for Victor Luvs Alice, good tomorrow and Friday

-->And now I said I'd do some writing with a friend, so time to wrap things up here, answer the last of my comments, and get over to that. Plans for Thanksgiving: Catch up on the Fun With Shorts and James Turner videos in my subscriptions (hopefully also GrayStillPlays), play some Sims 4 (I need to see it with custom content and mods enabled), work some more on "Londerland Bloodlines." These SHOULD be achievable goals, but you know me and good time management. XD At least I have a long weekend to work this out -- plus two days with no commute, meaning I should be able to sneak extra videos in. *nods* For now, though, night all!
