Another Distracted Night

crossover_chickI just go listening to songs and getting caught up in all sorts of weird little mental imaginings -- and tonight was not helped by staying after supper to finish the movie posters puzzle, meaning I didn't actually get on the computer until like 8:15. So yeah, let's try another quick wrap-up!
-->Work was again reasonably quiet except for chatty coworker and the usual "will people stay out of my space when I'm trying to eat lunch" feelings. *sigh* Just one more day actually AT the office, Vic. . .working from home has its pains, but at least I'm in my reasonably safe space!

A) Another day on the bike, another day with Jon’s Fallout 4 Survival Playthrough! When last I left him, he was entering a giant medical center after defeating the robots that had previously blown him up. Fortunately, he didn’t get blown up again, though he came a little closer than he wanted to to falling off a very high roof. XD Mostly he spent his time collecting surgical trays and shooting the Gunners who had taken up residence in that building and the one next to it, going up and down and doing his level best not to die. He eventually found himself back on the Fallen Skybridge, and ended up taking the vertical route down into Goodneighbor. XD After snatching a save at the local hotel, he made his way back through more familiar ground (blowing up the occasional super mutant along the way) and finally made it back to the Prydwen, where he got Maxson on board with his teleporter idea and secured Proctor Ingram’s (their resident tech-head) help in building the thing! And since there’s a tiny settlement right by the airport, that’s where Jon is in the process of putting it. He was HOPING to link it via supply lines to the Castle to get more goodies to build with, but so far he seems to have everything he needs. I suspect it’s going to be the generators to power it all that is going to be the REAL problem. . .
B) Over to OXBox Xmas Challenge Day 4 – Andy versus the Phasmophobia “Ghost of Christmas Passed Away” challenge! He had ten minutes (past the five-minute warm-up phase) to find a ghost in-game, and piss it off enough to murder him. They entered the house of one Richard Harris (you know, the replacement Dumbledore), searched out his preferred hiding spot (the corner of the dining room) and set up a few things, then Mike and Jane retreated to the van while Andy went around trying his best to annoy the hell out of the ghost. Unfortunately for him, Richard proved to be a very chill ghost, and the ten minutes went by without a single murder, or really much of anything happening. *pats* Sorry Andy! They DID eventually provoke him into murdering Andy after the time limit, by all entering the house and singing Mariah Carey songs. XD Even ghosts have their limits, I guess. :p
C) And I was able to fit in one GrayStillPlays video – more Turbo Dismount! We started with a shockingly hard “jump off the platform and drive with traffic to this one spot” challenge, struggled through a bullseye challenge, and then progressed to the hell that was THE LOOP DE LOOP. Gray spent SO LONG trying to find a vehicle that could make the flips necessary to hit the ramps and make it across the traffic below. He FINALLY managed it with the mobility scooter, bless him. And then had to take it into another “drive off this high thing and merge with traffic” challenge, which was – less hard than the loops, but no less annoying. At least Gray’s pain is our gain!
-->Edited another one of my gift fics, as the one that remains to be written will probably take a bit of research to properly complete. On the plus side, that's my entire Dreamwidth contingent done! Making progress, making progress. . .
-->Already got my Dreamwidth comment taken care of (logged into the wrong account when I first got on, decided to roll with it), and I'm doing my queued post for tomorrow now (I was inspired by the episode of QI we watched the other day), so -- yeah. Gonna finish what productivity I can manage tonight, then head to bed -- even if I am at home tomorrow, still a work night! Hopefully tomorrow will be reasonably quiet -- I do have everything I need for the GL, at least, plus some obituaries to fuck around with. And no commute, so maybe I can sneak in a couple of extra videos. . . We'll see. Night all!
