Dad thinks we may have just missed a foot of snow -- 10 inches -- but it is white and cold and miserable out there! It was at least spitting snow well into the afternoon, and tomorrow brings a cold snap that will make everything icy as hell. *wince* Gonna be fun driving in and back. . .but it's only one day. I should make it!

As for today -- not a bad work-from-home day. Got the GL done, sent the reports everyone needed, and spent most of the rest of my day working on the latest capital campaign pledge billing counts. Also caught up on my puzzles from my Mensa page-a-day calendar, and did some drafting on Valice Multiverse while on my lunch break. It's still kind of an awkward set-up with my laptop, but I got everything done that I needed to, and that's the main thing.

As for the rest of my day:

-->Although I wore my workout clothes as a weird compromise between "proper work clothes" and "hanging out at home" clothes, never actually went to work out -- I got caught up in installing some new drivers on my computer that required a few restarts, and just never got down there. Ah well -- tomorrow!

-->I DID make some progress in catching up on the YouTubes, though:

A) OXBox Xmas Challenge Day 5 – Jane and the Mortal Kombat 11 “Peaceful Pacifist” challenge! The goal was to survive two rounds against an AI challenger without doing a SINGLE offensive move. Blocking and jumping was allowed, and Jane didn’t have to actually win the match – just survive! She was also allowed to choose her character and AI opponent – the boys counseled her to go with a fast-mover for her own character, and a grappler for her opponent, so Jane chose the acrobatic Cassie for herself and the robot-armed Jax as her opponent.

. . .Jax cleaned the floor with her. Seriously, poor Jane got trapped on one side of the screen early on in the first round and lost a LOT of her health. It took her a while to find a strategy that even sort of worked (backflipping all over the place), and even then it was laid low by his secret grenade launcher. She made it to 11 seconds to go in the first round before he emptied out her health bar, and 18 seconds to go in the second round before she got Finished. :( So no Christmas point for Jane, sadly. So if Mike can get a point in tomorrow’s challenge, he’ll have a handy lead. . .

B) Time for some more GrayStillPlays!

1. More GTA V impossible stunt races! More wall ride hell for Gray, who looked specifically for games stating they will make you uninstall (hell, one was CALLED “The Uninstaller”). But Gray is Gray, and will persevere despite all pain and common sense telling him to quit. XD And he’s actually getting quite good at all these twisty-turny corkscrew and loop-de-loop rides, honestly. (Not to mention the one that makes you JUMP from one side of a wall-ride to the other midway through a turn. . .) I’d end up being sick if I tried to play them myself. Well done, Gray, I am dutifully impressed.

2. More Happy Wheels! :D A couple more bottle-flips (Gray getting “Yeet God” in the first and “Gray Will Find A Way” in the second, which was one of the pleasing “balance it on a ball” ones), a Santa rope swing (which was hard because Santa’s a big guy and doesn’t fly far, yo), and of course a number of our usual outings with Tom Hardy featuring bottle runs, harpoons, mines, and giant fans. Gray probably has hair befitting his name now, but the impossible challenges are falling before him! :D

3. Here comes the newest contestant – Fun With Ragdolls: The Game! This one is ALSO all about the impossible challenges, only now you’re a ragdoll and must do them on foot. Things which are red will kill you. Things which are giant swingy hammers will kill you. Things which are lasers will kill you. Things which are launchpads will kill you. The creators of these boards will use all of these liberally and together in an attempt to kill you. Gray was SUFFERING through this one, let me TELL you. SOOO much pain, so much suffering. Especially with the board with tightrope sections and “faith plate” sections which had NO CHECKPOINTS. He completed all of them, but damn. I think that took a worse toll on his sanity than all his regular impossible challenge games COMBINED. ...Looking forward to more! :D

C) And I squeaked in ONE Call Me Kevin video – Among Us! With Kevin going around and getting kicked from a WHOLE BUNCH of lobbies. It wasn’t so bad at the beginning, where he was playing as “Mafia,” but the minute he switched his name to “Karen” and started doing a touch of roleplay. . .basically no one wants to deal with a Karen asking for the manager. (Not even Kevin, he nearly drifted into retail stories at the beginning of the episode.) And then the end of the episode had him encounter someone pretending to be Jack Septiceye, so he played the starstruck fan and tried to get “Jack” to invite HIMSELF into the group. XD “Jack” played along, at least, which was fun – especially as he tried to explain why he couldn’t get “Call Me Kevin” into the game. XD

-->I also did a little research for the final gift fic I had to write -- it was my OTP (Secundus edition) meeting hers, and she wanted the male half of said OTP, Klaus, to save his love from a Snark, so I looked up his various "blood battle" techniques (he's from an anime/manga called "Blood Battle Blockade"). Have gotten something I hope is reasonably funny out of him super-overkilling a Snark with one. XD So that's everything written, a week before Christmas! Now I just have to do the rest of my editing. . .

-->Threw some stuff I found into my drafts for Victor Luvs Alice, and I'm just finishing up my queue for Valice Multiverse. . .just gotta do the comment for DW and I'm set! :)

And that's Thursday over with. Now I just have one last day to get through. . .hopefully it isn't hellish. Fingers crossed, people! Night all!
