Well, I've got a new internet connection

My wireless router completely crapped out on me. Granted, it's "blinked" before, but it's always come back online, no problems. But this time, it was just completely dead. >.< Intensely annoying.
-D: I know. We tried everything -- no luck.-
So now I'm wired directly into the adapter for our computer via a cable. It seems to be working all right, despite the fact my little icon says its still aquiring the network address. Oh well, as long as I can go online and chat.
Yesterday wasn't a complete bust, though. Once I saw I was offline and not getting on anytime soon, I played some Sims -- my Twin Oaks Park Von Brauns. I turned aging back on, as I was ready to get these two toddlers grown up already.
-VD: Finally!-
Yeah. Anyway, on Friday, after Sarah got done taking care of the toddlers, I received a noticed I'd been deliquent with my bill paying. Uh-oh! I promptly sent her out to the mailbox and had her pay the two sets of festering bills. Later Sarah fed Emmett some more Smart Milk. I found this funny -- aside from the usual toddler wants, Emmett also kept getting "earn skill points" wants!
-M: *grin* Typical Doc.-
Well, Emily got one too, but it was really all Emmett. Emmett however was too tired to work on skills, so I had Sarah put him to bed and work with Emily instead on talking.

Elias came home with a promotion to Junior Executive, which is nice. He called Angard and upped their friendship a little before gaining a charisma point and retiring.
Saturday was a good day for everyone -- at any given time three of the four family members were in platinum. Elias gave Emily a drink of Smart Milk, and finished up her talking training.
She speaks!
Sarah had the want to teach Emily how to talk, so I had her give her daughter lessons in the bathroom while Elias interacted with Emmett and went to work. She also got more Smart Milk into Emmett and taught him how to talk as well.

-D: *rolls eyes*-
Finally, that night, I got the notice that Emmett and Emily could grow up. Since Emily's a little older than Emmett, I decided to have her grow up that night. I invested in a birthday cake, then had Elias bring her over to blow out the candles (Emmett was busy with his puzzle, while a pooped Sarah was sleeping).

Then, with a poof of confetti and a flash of light, Emily was a child!
All Grown Up!
I really like the hairstyle they chose for her -- I haven't seen her regular clothes yet though. She and Elias gobbled down some cake while I sold her crib and the changing table and bought her a nice girly bed. I had her give her little brother a family kiss before letting her retire and saving. Next time little Emmett grows up.
-M: Wonder what hairstyle they'll choose for him?-
Got me. They'll grow into teenagers, then off to University (judging by my playing, I should have it by then). Or at least Emmett, I dunno about Emily.
-VD2: Come on, she's my sister. She deserves a good education.-
Okay then -- and I do want to see about these new Want slots and such. Then after college, Emily will get married, while Emmett works on skills (not that he'll have much work to do, he's about halfway there with logic already). I might also make a McFly family with a toddler Marty for him to meet and love.
-VM: What about the other Sims there?-
Oh, they'll lead their own lives. Kat and Mark will, of course, be getting together, and I'll be making my latest Sims enemies with Kat. :D

I also got some stuff concering my website planned out, so I'll be popping over to freewebtown now. Later.
