I mean, I guess -- work was all right for the most part; I worked on the latest batch of exceptions to come down the pike, clearing out some writeoffs and whatnot and answering the phone a bunch as my coworkers were busy with their own projects. Weather was okay, partly sunny, which is better than we had at the beginning of the week. And I got through the to-do list again with no problems:

1. Keep up with YouTube Subscriptions: Check – late start, but I only had two videos, so no worries there.

A) On Call Me Kevin, we had more 112 Operator, that game about being an emergency number responder that Kevin likes to twist into causing more disasters. XD Like telling a guy with a spine injury to stand up, or getting a kid who sprained his knee to try and bend it. XD Also buying all the horsies to give himself a mounted police district! Also a bomb robot, which he tried to pair with a cyclist, and a dog, which he tried to pair with a horse. XD The game didn’t like that much. But on the other hand, he did actually save a suicidal guy again, and helped catch the notorious Crossbow Killer! So that must count for something, right? I mean, not for much, he was fired again by the end of the episode, but still. XD

B) And on GrayStillPlays, we had more GTA V stunt racing! Today’s course was a parkour board that included not only driving a bestickered Beetle over balance beams, through yeety boosts, and up jumps where the landing platform was extremely offset, but also a bike section that involved a terrifying amount of tightroping over water, another car section that involved tightroping IN the water, and finally a speedboat section that brought him to the end. Gray now hates salt water and pastel Pez candy along with everything else in the game. XD

C) And a quick bonus video, because I didn’t have a queue to worry about on tumblr – some IT Crowd bloopers! Because I enjoyed that show, and I like seeing behind-the-scenes silliness on it. XD

2. Work on “In A World Of His Own”: Check! Another page down, and we’ve officially introduced Fury! By having him knock Victor on his ass into the river after a Snark already got him stumbling into the water. “Get Victor Wet In Chapter One” – achieved. XD At least it isn’t a full-on soaking like most of the other chapters? At any rate, now we get to see what Victor’s anger is like when it’s a separate person. Fun? I hope so. :p

3.Get in a workout: Check! Pushed myself on a bike ride for a bit, and caught up some more on Jon’s Fallout 4 Survival Playthrough! Having cleared out Dalton Farm of its Fog Crawler, Grills and Nick headed back to Far Harbor, stopping along the way to take care of some ghouls in what looked like outdoor showers for a campground. . .oh, and to take on the Legendary Venomous Angler, since Jon felt ready to do so now that he had his Gauss Rifle out. That bastard turned out to be harder than the Fog Crawler, requiring about four shots to get it down! Not to mention it had pretty shit leather gear too. . . At least Jon leveled up from it – Level 60, and it was time to put some points into Endurance for a future grab of Aquaboy! Because that’s a good perk to have on a rad-infested island, that’s for sure.

After all that, the pair made it back to the town, where Allen furiously executed a Children of Atom saboteur in front of the assembled citizens. Seems like the cultist was disabling the Fog Condensers. Avery wasn’t happy about it, and it really seems like tensions on the Island are rising high. . . But Grills cared less about that than he did about reporting to Cassie and getting control of Dalton Farm. The final part of her quest will take Grills to the south to kill a Trapper (read: cannibal) at a lighthouse. But before doing that, Grills had some important business to attend to. Some Eddie Wintery business. You see, Jon is trying to recommit back to the Brotherhood thing with Grills, and that means taking care of Nick’s personal quest so he can ditch the synth detective and eventually go ham on his “brother” and Acadia. Because for some reason Grills wants to be friends with Nick and yet kill all other synths. . .then again, Grills also refused to kill Danse, so it seems his actual view on synths is “abominations unless I personally know and like them.”

At any rate, that meant that episode 49 opened up with a trip back to the Commonwealth to go holotape hunting! Jon had a few locations already marked on Grills’s map, so he marked out a route to get the ones closest to Diamond City, nipped back to base via Institute teleport, assigned a settler at Hangman’s Alley to do the Far Harbor run to Old Longfellow’s cabin, and set out! First stop was Police Precinct 8 near Diamond City, where Jon found the holotape no problem. After that –

Well, after that was a detour, actually – Jon, it transpires, had never gone in the Fens Street Sewers before, so he decided to have Grills see what was down there. What was down there was the lair of a pre-War serial killer, the Fens Phantom, with lots of creepy skeleton tableaus he’d set up to show off to a detective hunting him (along with associated holotapes). Also a couple of feral ghouls and bloatflies, including a Legendary Festering that nearly killed Jon with poison damage. Be a terrible place to die, wouldn’t it? But Jon survived through judicious use of Nuka-Quantum, and saw the adventure through to its creepy conclusion. Cool stuff – I love seeing people discover things in LPs of this game. Really highlights that there’s more to do in the Commonwealth than I first expected!

So yeah, that was all good. I'm currently just catching up on some tumblr stuff and preparing to answer my DW comment on the night. Nothing really major to report, honestly. I guess that's a good thing in this day and age. *shrug* I'll report back in tomorrow -- see if anything more interesting happens. Night all!
