My boss left early to go see family, and we had some phone calls, but nothing really exciting. I spent a lot of the day going through obits and duplicates to clean them up. *shrug* Fine by me -- if the week wants to end on a quieter note, I'm all for it. Save all the confusing bullshit until later, thanks!

Was good for getting through the to-do list too:

1. Get in a workout: Check – after another round of beanbag game (3-2-2 for me today, with Dad again winning all three games, grr), back on the bike to finish off Episode 15 of “Nuka-World Level One Survival!” I caught up with Minnie as she entered into a war of attrition with the Nukalurk Queen – as explained yesterday, her Nuka-Nuke “ace in the hole” only got the Queen down to half health. This is what happens when you waste the nukes on the smaller enemies, Jon! Fortunately, Minnie had two things in her corner to make this fight easier:

A) The high ground, being on the roof and all

B) The Operator’s Sniper, a fast-firing sniper rifle with a lot of ammo

And so the war began, with Minnie running back and forth across the rooftops to take potshots at the Queen before fleeing her horrifically poisonous spit. It took the whole night and almost all of her ammo (she was down to 18 shots by the end!), but, eventually, the Queen fell, and the World of Refreshment was hers! Poor Minnie, that took way too long. . .

With the park claimed, it was time to assign it to a gang – and make the decision of who Minnie would be facing off against in the end-game. Jon looked at the numbers (so to speak) and decided that, of the Pack and the Disciples, he’d rather face off against the Disciples – they’re melee-focused, and arguably made up of the worst people in the park. And so the bottling plant went to the Pack! I’m sure they’ll appreciate all the spare Nukalurk meat.

However, Minnie wasn’t quite done with the World of Refreshment. Having picked up a holotape containing a password up-top, she went back to the main control computer and unlocked a certain set of security doors, behind which was a certain set of Nuka-Cola T51f power armor! This is a decent set of power armor for an early-game character, and comes with its own fusion core and the perk of +3 to Agility if you’re wearing the complete set. Minnie happily hopped inside and then proceeded deeper into the plant, where she found a couple of dead Gunners, a nice save-worthy sleeping bag –

And a Star Core! Because yes, she was back to collecting those, and for good reason. Remember how, in the earlier episode with the Hubologists, Minnie was able to get a Star Core from the warehouse? A star core Jon was certain he’d already looted, and that I thought had possibly glitch-respawned due to him doing the quest involving the area?

I was mostly right – the Star Core there DOES glitch-respawn, but it’s on a timer instead of being related to doing the Hubologist stuff. If you’re willing to wait it out long enough, you could use that respawning core to get as many cores as you needed to fully repair the mainframe! Jon wasn’t willing to do that, but he WAS willing to use his glitch-spare to cheese things slightly with the mainframe. Because, you see, the mainframe is the only way to unlock a display case containing even BETTER Nuka-Quantum X-01 power armor. The only “unleveled” spawn of that top-tier armor in the entire game, Jon thinks (normally it starts spawning in the world around when your character hits level 27). You need all 35 Star Cores plugged in to access it – but, normally, you can’t do so until completing the main quest line of the DLC, because the very last Star Core is at the top of the Starport tower, an area you can’t access until you’ve killed the disloyal gang and gotten the power back on.

But if you have a GLITCH Star Core sitting in your inventory. . . Granted, Jon only had the one, so Minnie did have to go around and get all the remaining ones in the Galactic Zone herself. Fortunately, with the robots all either friendly or shut down entirely, this was a much easier task than when she was first gathering them. Even the RobCo Battle Arena, which Jon had been dreading because killer robots, was all quiet. He actually found it a bit sad. But yes, he got all the other Star Cores from there, the Nuka-Galaxy coaster, and the one in the display case at the Starport he briefly forgot about (along with a mini-nuke to make a new Nuka-Nuke), plugged them all in, and returned to base in the lovely Quantum armor! Which has lots of action point refresh, which is definitely in Minnie’s wheelhouse. That finished off episode 15 – next time, it’s back to the Commonwealth to do some actual raiding! We’ll see how that goes!

2. Edit some more on “Londerland Bloodlines”: Check! Back on track with this after pushing it off yesterday, with Alice having met E and his gang of Thin-Bloods (not that she knows everybody’s names yet). Rosa’s had her “this is how the rest of the game is going to go” vision, and Alice is learning just what kind of vampires she, E, and the others are. Miss “I was turned yesterday and dropped into the deep end” is going to feel very sympathetic toward them very soon. . .

3. Keep up with YouTube Subscriptions: Check! No Gray today, so there wasn't too much to see in there --

A) But first, a new trailer for The Sims 4 dropped today – Dream Home Decorator! This is a pack styled after a new active “gig” career, being an interior designer! You go around redesigning Sims’ rooms, homes, and eventually community lots! It looks interesting, and seems like it’ll have a lot of fun stuff for builders to play around with (sectional sofas were highlighted in a funny SimsVIP post) – but MY interest is piqued by the fact that it seems to be bringing favorites back to the game, in the form of “Likes and Dislikes” – colors, styles, what have you. That’s something I want, and I’m really hoping THAT bit is a base-game update! (Even if it’s a stripped-down version, I’ll take it. And possibly boost it with mods. :p)

B) Naturally, new trailer means new reactions – time to see what James Turner thinks of the new pack coming June 1st! He is – pretty excited! I mean, I’m not surprised, he is the “builder guy” of the Simmers that I watch. XD And it was amusing to see him get all excited over the new sectional sofas, and the separated stovetops and ovens that are available in kitchens now (though he’s worried that they might be tied to specific cabinets instead of being new items on their own – happily, the comments seem to confirm they’re truly separate!). And he likes the idea of using the pack to go out and maybe change up some of the lots you might not visit in worlds you don’t frequent to make them a little more your own. Which, hey, I’m here for! We’ll see how the information trickles in as time goes on!

C) Couldn’t spend all my time with Sims 4-related content, though – Call Me Kevin was back tonight, with a classic game from the Flash games website Miniclip – Motherload! Which holy crap I remember playing this so long ago – it’s kind of rare for Kevin to play a game I’m familiar with, but DAMN the nostalgia tonight! In case you’re not aware, this is a game about being a miner on Mars – your goal is to dig down as deep as possible to get better and better minerals and gems to sell and upgrade your little digging machine with better kit. Only it turns out that your boss is literally Satan and you have to fight him in a two-part boss fight once you reach the bottom cave. Kevin never actually got that far in his own playthrough – he spent most of his time exploding from lack of fuel as he got caught up in digging out all the minerals and special items and forgot to get out in time. He was just coming to grips with everything – upgrading his hull, his drill, his fuel tank, and buying stuff like the matter transmitter to get back to the surface quickly – when he got exploded by one of the hidden gas pockets that poses a danger at the end. We ended up watching him watch another YouTuber’s video on the boss fight. XD But man, that was fun – wouldn’t mind seeing him do other Miniclip games! I used to love that website. . .

4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check – got my Song Saturday post in the VictorLuvsAlice queue, and two asks in the Valice Multiverse queue~

So yeah, not a bad night. Fairly productive anyway. And now it's time to wrap things up and go to bed without feeling quite so rushed. Just gotta get through one more day. . .fingers crossed it isn't a complete clusterfuck. Night all!
