Weather was still fairly gray and gloomy, and I've had to turn on my AC tonight to combat increasing heat and humidity, but there were flashes of sun, and it wasn't too awful outside. Not good enough for beanbags, of course -- I've taken that subheading out of my current Update Form, it's not happening often enough to include anymore. But we're supposed to have a streak of good weather from Thursday to Saturday, so, fingers crossed!

As it stands, here is the usual:

Work – Rather quiet day – took about five credit card calls, which is a lot for how this month is going, but none of them were particularly hard and most of the rest of the day didn’t have that much going on. Finished my spreadsheet and did some obituaries. Could have been a much worse start to the week, let me tell you!

To-Do List

1. Get in a workout: Check – another thirty on the bike, and I’ve moved onto a new thing to watch for this week – a speedrun of Alice: Madness Returns! I’ve actually watched this particular one before, but it’s been a while, and it’s something nice and easy to watch while I’m pedaling. Plus watching Alice dodge-zip around the levels is good motivation. XD I’ve gotten past the first level and the opening sequence of the second (Tundraful), leaving off at the beginning of the Deluded Depths. Like I’ve said before, speedrunning fascinates me – the way people figure out how to manipulate movement and where you can go in the levels is astonishing. Alice can get some amazing speed and distance by abusing her dodge and her quad-jump in Wonderland, that’s for damn sure! Not to mention all the little bits of scenery you can traverse if you know exactly where to land. . .

2. Edit some more on “Londerland Bloodlines”: Check – Alice has finished retrieving the werewolf blood! Yay! So that’s basically “Bloody Mess” over and done with. . .so now it’s onto “Trick Or Treatment.” AKA, time to work on the one section in this whole story that actually has Victor in it. w0000~ (To be fair, Alice is not going to have the free time to talk to him until the Downtown bits, but still. . .)

3. Keep up with YouTube Subscriptions: Check, plus a bonus video! Now isn’t that nice for the beginning of the week? :)

A) First things first, getting something out of the Watch Later thanks to James Turner having a short video today – and since I haven’t gotten a chance to watch any OXBox in a while, I chose “Battle Royale with Vampires! And It's Good? | Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodhunt Gameplay!” AKA one of the OTHER vampire games we’re getting while Bloodlines 2 remains vaporware – a battle royale game in the streets of Prague between bloodsuckers! Mike and Ellen both played a bit of the alpha demo – Mike went the “cowardice, hide on the rooftops route” while Ellen just straight up murdered a guy to win one of the matches. XD It looks pretty fun if you like those kind of games, though – there’s a lot of awesome and pretty fluid movement around the arena, much of which is very vertical. And yes, lots of gun play, though you get a good assortment of melee weapons too. Currently they’ve got Brujah, Toreador, and Nosferatu in the game – I suspect they’ll expand it out to the “core seven” before final release. I’m hopeful for more good videos from the OX team on it!

B) Then it was over to James Turner for a one-off Cottage Living episode – “Can you have 100 Llamas in The Sims 4 Cottage Living?” The answer – yes if you size down the sheds and make a tiny llama village complete with streetlamps, phone boxes, a town well, rolling hills, and an inlet. No, seriously, that’s exactly what he did – after managing to fit eighty at normal size overlapping (which is pretty impressive on its own), he started experimenting with stacking the sheds, then hit upon sizing them down to fit more, and – well. The builder in him came out to play. XD It was actually pretty adorable – he put a lot of thought into his tiny town! Makes me want a video of him using debug items scaled down to make a model village. XD

C) Then it was onto Call Me Kevin and the chaos that is his Sims 2 save! Having inherited some money from Vidcund’s death, Sim!Kevin decided to try “adopt a bunch of cats, get them all jobs, let them earn all the money” as a money-making plan again. And, hilariously, this time it WORKED! Mostly because Kevin actually spent some money on items to keep the cats happy, like food bowls and beds. They’re all showbiz cats, with one of them having been promoted up the ladder to the point where they take a sports car to work. XD Sim!Kevin also started a home business, and ended up turning it into a venue where Sims get charged by the hour to hang out around his house, eat his grilled cheese (giving Sim!Kevin tons of aspiration points he can use to stay young and healthy forever with the Elixir of Life), give his cats attention, and eventually die in his pool! Also, yes, Test Tube 2 and Political Talk (Vidcund’s alien baby and his alien teenager respectively) are still here among the living, but we don’t care about THEM. XD Damn, I forgot just how shockingly chaotic this game could be. It’s delightful. :)

D) Speaking of delightful chaos. . .time to end with GrayStillPlays and more Universe Sandbox 2! Today’s episode was all about making super-dense, super-hot droplets of water out of the Moon and then flinging them at the Earth to see what happened. What happened was, typically, vaporization. XD At differing speeds, of course, depending on how fast the drop itself was going. . and in one case the earth got flash-frozen, and exploded much later due to the slower droplet basically destroying the core from the inside out. But Gray wasn’t happy with that, oh no. He ended the episode with a droplet with Positive Infinity, Not A Number water getting flung at the Sun – not only did it put the Sun out immediately, it also flung the entire solar system across the universe willy-nilly. I don’t know who gave Gray access to numbers, but they should probably be put in the stocks. Or thanked with the key to the city, I don’t know which. XD

4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check! Got the text for all three Chill Save update posts ready for Victor Luvs Alice on Wednesday – I’ll get those queued up tomorrow, along with the gift fic and something for Friday, and that’ll hold me for a bit!

So yeah, can't really complain! Except about the idiot driving behind me on the way home doing her make up in the car, but she was usually farther away from me than not, so. . .seriously, people are such idiots sometimes. *shakes head* Anyway, time to wrap this up and head to bed -- night all!
