Wouldn't call it perfect, but I've had worse -- good temperatures, and a fairly nice sunset on the way home (which helped make up for some of the traffic). Let me give you the skinny via the to-do list, as I told my friend Squid I'd write with him tonight, but I want to get this clear first:

Work – Another reasonably quiet day – and two of the three checks we were looking for have arrived, yay! So that was good. Also there was a get-together for a coworker’s birthday, which was all right – had a bit of fudgy brownie, but didn’t think it was all that great. *shrug* At any rate, most of the day was duplicates and deceased, and I’m happy with that.

To-Do List

1. Get in a workout: Check – more time on the bike, and more time with L.A. By Night, “Happy Families!” Yes, Victor shot those guys from yesterday, and yes, they did get set on fire. Hopefully the initial shots killed them. O.o Victor naturally pulled out his “forget this shit” power and dragged the mesmerized Isaiah off to the elevator to head up to his office, while Nelli crawled over there to get changed and get calmed down, and Annabelle had a short cry on X’s shoulder about how bullshit happens every time she thinks she can get close to someone again. She and X thought about just leaving for the night, but then one of the security guys came in and explained that basically a minor riot happened outside (whether this was simply drunk, grouchy humans or influenced supernaturally was not addressed), so instead they went up to the office where Victor and Nelli were. Victor interrogated his son about what was going on, and Isaiah admitted he worked for Bobby Blaine (mainly as a courier of sorts), having been introduced to him by the campus band Sour Sugar, and joined in on this mission because he was pissed off at his dad and kind of wanted to hurt him because, well, he hasn’t been in Isaiah’s life. Victor justified this as wanting to keep Isaiah OUT of his old criminal enterprises, and said that Isaiah could NOT go back to Bobby, because if he got any hint that Isaiah was Victor’s son, bad shit could happen. Isaiah was persuaded to take a trip to Vancouver (after having a trip to San Francisco shot down because bad shit happening there vampire-wise), and he told Victor where he could find Bobby to try and put a stop to this. Also mentioned that Bobby was working with the Feds, apparently. . . Also also, all this was at least partly to get back the bag Ramona gave them from her factory, which – as previously stated – had vampire-killing equipment in it. Honestly, best part was Victor having to claim X was a recording artist they were thinking of signing, and X claiming he played the French horn. Forcing Victor to claim that autotune could do amazing things. XD I’m just in favor of anything in this series that is fun (like Annabelle calling Nelli “Mom”) – most of it is kind of depressing. Which, I know, World of Darkness and all, but still. . .

2. Edit some more on “Londerland Bloodlines”: Check – Alice has successfully gotten Lily out of her blood bank prison, and even more successfully intimidated Vandal into cleaning up the mess. Mostly through just barely restraining the urge to kill him. Vandal being Vandal, he now considers Alice to be absolutely awesome. XD Alice is naturally disgusted by this, but at least the Queen has suggested she could tattle to Therese in lieu of murdering him. . .first things first, though – gotta get Lily back to E. Time for a heartfelt reunion. :)

3. Keep up with YouTube Subscriptions: Check – actually had three today too! Plus the bonus –

A) Started with something that popped up in my Recommendeds: “The Vampair Series/ Season 2: Prologue!” Yes, Daria Cohen is back – now that the first season has wrapped up with Duke and Missi in a truce, the second season seems to be focusing on some backstory stuff! And this short clip is all about a child Duke! At the funeral of his mother. Yeaaaah, starting off a bit dark, huh? He’s already got his famous key, though. . .I’m intrigued as to where this will go from here! Wonder if we’ll be focusing solely on Duke, or if Missi’s backstory will come up too. . .

B) Then it was over to the Subs for the grand return of James Turner! Who, naturally, is making a plant store for the Blooming Rooms kit. XD If you know this man, you know he loves decorative plants, so this kit is basically perfect for him. XD But yeah, after a bit of fiddling (and a quick tour of his new, very empty office), he decided to make a plant store to show off the new plants – and then decided to make it LOOK like a plant. The pot part came together pretty easily (big octagon), but it took him a few tries to find something that he could scale up and still look nice. Once he was past that hurdle, however, he just went to TOWN filling the store up with as many kit plants as he could, gushing over pretty much each one. . .and then he did a path around the outside and filled THAT with pretty much every plant he could find. XD Basically he chucked plants all over the Sims 4 and called it good. As he does. Welcome back, James!

C) After that, it was time for CallMeKevin and more Minecraft Two Chunk Challenge! Although we actually ventured outside of the chunks this time – because Kevin has decided he wants to finish the game, and that means making a portal to the Nether! . . .which involved a frankly massive amount of time digging up his own obsidian chunk borders to create the portal, all the while menaced by the zombies and creepers that love his boat defense system. And then, after doing all that digging and creating the portal, discovering that, despite having five million of pretty much every other kind of block, he had no gravel. Meaning no flint and steel to light the portal. *sad trombone* However, Kevin is a noted military genius, and actually came up with an alternate solution – move the portal to one of those underground sections where the lava is just out of reach, then plop down wood blocks in range to burn. It took a couple of tries, but it did successfully light the portal! :D w000! And then Kevin went into the Nether –

And quickly realized just how terrifying it was. XD Faced with wide open spaces full of monsters, Kevin chose to box himself in with the massive numbers of blocks he was carrying, making tunnels and spiral staircases and whatnot to avoid the ghasts and make his way over to the stronghold! He even successfully killed a blaze! Which – did not drop ANY of the power he needed. Damn. :( Ah well – at least now he has a working Nether portal. Plus a second sheep (one ended up in his boats, and he was able to lure it away BEFORE a creeper blew it up), and a saddle and a carrot on a stick for one of his pigs! So now he has a mighty steed at last. . . XD Really looking forward to where this one ends up!

D) And finally we had GrayStillPlays – and the return of Episode, that awful interactive fiction game where players can design their own terrible stories if they’re willing to pony up the dough. And today’s terrible story saw Floridia McGatorman dropped off at prison by his wife Vicky (seriously!) to serve a life sentence for jaywalking. But Floridia was not going to take this lying down – he had a plan to escape! Using – uh – his wife’s hairbrush. ...It made him look nice when he met his cellmate’s friends in the cafeteria? XD Anyway, Floridia tried a couple of plans to try and escape the prison and Avril Lavigne the guard – his attempt at seducing the guard was foiled by his cellmate Kane refusing to turn around; his suggestion that they all call their lawyers resulted in them dying before their cases could be appealed; his attempt at getting his wife to help him during a conjugal visit led to him stupidly getting the guard out of the way by inviting her to a threesome (she vomited, and his incensed wife asked for a divorce); and during his first attempt at digging a tunnel in his cell, he went off alone, leaving Kane to wait for his buddies, and got dragged back by the guard (who refused his bribe of a hairbrush). Fortunately, the second time, Gray correctly deduced that having Kane with him when he ran for it meant that he could leave him behind as a sacrificial lamb for the guard, and he finally tasted the air as a free man again! The moral being, if you’re a Floridian jaywalker, selfishness is the way to go to get what you want in life. XD

4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check – came up with a Song Saturday post! “The Good Ones” by Gabby Barrett – I don’t usually go in for country, but I’ve been hearing it on the radio plenty, and for some reason it gives me super strong Valice vibes. *shrug* I’ve put on weirder songs!

*nods* Not bad. And I got to have a brownie with ice cream for dessert, because my Mom and Dad got some from a friend whom they helped with her TV today. :) Tomorrow, of course, starts my long weekend, and I have some to-dos for that too:

1. Get my vaccinations (Covid booster and flu)

2. Watch OXBox/OXtra video in the queue, keep up on YouTube Subs

3. Write some more on "Learn to Love Again"

4. Play Sims 4 and continue work on the house build

5. Get in a workout

I think that'll just about cover it! Hopefully everything goes well, especially with item one. . .fingers crossed! Night all!
