Guess who got her period today? I mean, I knew it was coming this week, but I was expecting it for NEXT weekend, not this one. *sigh* So yeah, got some period brain fog going on -- already ducked out of RP on Valice Multiverse, and I'm probably gonna leave my social stuff a bit early too so I can properly veg for a bit on TV Tropes.

However, I want it noted that, despite the red curse, I did very well on my to-do list:

1. Clean my room and do the monthly laundry: Check, though thanks to nice days where I have the windows open for a bit meaning a bit more dust, a bathroom break that led to me realizing I had my period (fortunately without any accidents!), and then an early lunch right after said break, it took me a little longer to get the room clean done than it has in the past – started at about 10:50 AM, ended about 2:20 PM. Laundry took a little longer, as it always does, though it ended up getting folded into Mom’s laundry at the end. Second of my two loads was collected after beanbags at 5:30ish, yay. All done for a little while longer!

2. Keep up with YouTube Subs: Check – another easy one because it was only one video today. But I found some stuff to keep me occupied –

A) Started with a Sims 4 mods video in the Recommendeds – “10 Small Mods that Makes The Sims 4 Better!” By Ligayatrait, a Filipino simmer, it seems. Things she recommended we put in our games included a mod that lets you serve a variety of drinks on tables, one that adds a separate swimming skill your Sims will have to improve if they want to swim safely (the guy she used to demonstrate it drowned TWICE over the course of her video), one that creates a variety of one-time little neighborhood jobs for kids and teens to do for a bit of cash, and custom picture frames that you can use to make photo collages and the like on your walls. Fun stuff – always in the mood for a few new mod suggestions. :)

B) Then it was over to OXtra for their Show Of The Weekend – “Duel for the Lego AT-AT: We Read Lego Star Wars Magazine!” AKA, Luke was asked to do something for the show, and he bought a magazine about LEGO Star Wars from Tesco as there were no Pokemon magazines for him to buy. XD The magazine came with two free models, but the AT-AT was the only one they were interested in, as there was a game to battle for it within the depths of the magazine! Ellen built the actual AT-AT model (which was very good for a mini-model that came with a magazine) while Luke read the magazine and commented on the Empire stormtroopers in the LEGO verse rebuilding their AT-AT wrong after it was blown up by some rebels, vaguely holding his phone in the right direction to film her. XD And then they both ended up in hysterics after Ellen started putting it in funny positions, including the “whee” sliding-on-its-belly mode. XD The game itself was a simple Rebels-vs-Empire affair across two pages – you put the AT-AT in the middle, and roll a standard six-sided die to move it toward either finish line. Certain rectangles had instructions like “move two extra steps forward” or “your opponent gets two rolls on their next turn.” Various shenanigans resulted as they two tried to roll the AT-AT to victory – including trying to figure out what you do when you land on something that benefits your opponent while moving the AT-AT (it was eventually decided “follow the instructions and move with the arrows” to prevent too much bouncing back and forth). A couple of lucky high rolls eventually won Ellen, playing as the Rebels, the model, which she proceeded to slide past the camera in “whee” position. XD A very silly show that I enjoyed very much. :)

C) And finally, we had the Subs video of the day – “I found a water slide with a 1,000,000% death rate,” aka GrayStillPlays versus another awful GTA V water slide parkour board! Featuring another creator who reached out to him via e-mail, and then rick-rolled him via a “subscribe to my channel” link that led him to Rick Astley’s official YouTube channel. XD And trust me, these water slides were legit – the very first one wasn’t too difficult if you’re as adept at sliding down slides in the fetal position as Gray is now, but then it went into dumping him into a pool of water where he had to FALL THROUGH THE SCENERY to get to the NEXT set of water slides before picking the right one to reach the teleport; to throwing him at slides set up around THE SURFACE OF THE SUN (aka a giant orange orb with occasional explosions coming out of it), where Gray had to not only slide down a slide full of FIRE, but avoid the explosion to reach the next slide and the next teleporter; to putting him in an amphibious vehicle section where Gray had to pilot his little craft down the slides in waterski mode, then switch back to land vehicle mode to do a bunch of loop-de-loop wall rides; before finally making him jump into a final pool of water with giant waterspouts and, of course, his greatest enemy – WINDMILLS. Turned on their sides so he had to dodge their giant blades, with just BARELY enough room to get around them. He did complete it, but it took many, MANY fails along the way (mostly him ragdolling as he fell off slides), and apparently his editor had to cut like an hour’s worth of him getting smacked around by windmills from the video. XD Just another day in the life of Gray! XD

3. Play Sims 4 and do Spooky Day with Smiler Always: Check! And Smiler had a nice Spookfest (as is the ACTUAL name of the holiday, I forgot) indeed. :D Started by buying them the third volume of the Encyclopedia Vampirica so they could level up their Vampire Lore skill some more (and get a little more vampire XP in the bargain), then sent them over to the Foxbury Commons so they could work on their Robotics skill. Got them up to level 2 and started them building the computer chip for a RC Quadcopter, but a bad shock left them dazed, so I switched their attentions to fishing for their Angling Ace aspiration. Got a goldfish (became a plasma pack) before it was time to head to their final exam in Media Production – and then, straight after, to give their final presentation for Psych I! Once both of those were all sorted, it was back over to the fishing spot, where they ended up fishing up some nice stuff: a treefish (had to mount that), a lump of clay (hobbies!), and – a voodoo doll! Worth $950! As Smiler had bills waiting for them once I sent them home, I ended up selling that pretty quickly. You can get another one for free from the Humor and Hijinks festival in the future if you REALLY want one, Smiler!

Anyway, after that it was time to shower, and do some – rather depressing decorating (not their fault – their house has no foundation, no fences, and pulled-back eaves, so the best the game could do was a string of barely-visible lights around the top). But, on the plus side, just as they were setting up their Spooky Party, their first semester results came in – A+s across the board! :D I promptly signed them up for their next series of classes – two psych courses, and a mixology course because I’m starting to think that might be appropriate for them. (Also I kind of want to try the Sunlight Reversal Cocktail.) But yes, so far, so good in college!

Anyway, yes, around 6 PM, it was Spooky Party time! With their spookiest friends – Victor and Alice, Caleb and Lilith V., Vlad, and Nalani! (If you’re wondering why Nalani was invited – mermaid! The mermaid from the Island Living trailer, in fact, if I’m remembering it correctly.) And everyone showed up in frankly amazing costumes – Alice and Nalani kept it simple as a maid and a pizza delivery person respectively, but Victor went full freaking Mandalorian, Caleb was a robot, Lilith was a Llamacorn mascot, and Vlad was an astronaut. XD Smiler themselves decided to become a pirate for the party, and the look very much suited them. XD The party itself went well for an ungoaled event – Smiler did some socializing with their friends, (including testing out the updated “cuddle from behind” animation from “Cute Romance” – probably would have looked cuter if Victor hadn’t been a Mandalorian XD), breaking off occasionally to give treats to the kids and teenagers coming by their door (at least until I noticed repeats XD), then ended up making some spooky cookies for their friends who had to eat – with the spontaneous help of Nalani, which was nice. :) Who then consented to be fed on herself after the requisite amount of pleasant socialization. XD The guests themselves spent a lot of time dancing, chatting, and doing push-ups – though Lilith seemed ticked for some reason and ended up kicking over the trash can. O.o Maybe it was from having to be around Vlad. . . He seemed fine, though, happily going outside at one point to carve a cute orange kitty-cat pumpkin. Smiler followed with their own pale orange cock-eyed pumpkin later. Sure, near the end of the party, the radio broke, and Nalani spotted Smiler’s collection of mounted fish and left in tears, but I think it deserved better than the “automatic Bronze” rating it got as an ungoaled party (though I do like that I got two free ghost lamps out of it).

I also think it deserved to be counted under the “throw three parties” goal of the Party Animal aspiration! O.o The HELL, game! Does it HAVE to be goaled to count? Even more confusing, when the holiday itself ended as a success at 2 AM (Smiler having completed it in full), the game counted THAT as getting Silver or better on a social event! O.o I do not understand how this aspiration works anymore. . .well, Smiler’s happy and that’s all that matters. Next time, probably more college life as the Bot Savants have a meet-up Tuesday evening! Maybe Smiler can actually make that quadcopter then. . .

4. Keep editing Chapter 6 of “Londerland Bloodlines: Santa Monica’s Vale of Tears”: Check – Alice successfully escaped the warehouse without being blown up, though it took some Obfuscate and a touch of Dementation at the end when she ran into a guard. She also had a nice conversation with one Beckett the historian, about how she’s too new to really know what’s actually weird or unnerving in Kindred society. XD Down to page 17 of 21 and the final stretch – nonzero chance I’ll be finishing edits tomorrow!

Additionally:

-->While it clouded up a LOT this afternoon, we did get in some beanbags after I finished up my Sims – and Mom DEFINITELY made up for coming last every round yesterday, smoking me and Dad in the last three games! Though we all managed to pull out one win – final scores were me W-2-3-2-3; Dad 3-W-2-3-2, and Mom 2-3-W-W-W. Just happy I got that first win!

-->While tumblr drafts weren’t a specific goal today, I did also get all the pictures ready for my next Chill Save update on Victor Luvs Alice – another forty for a two-day update on Smiler’s Summer Thursday and Friday (admittedly, three-fourths of those pictures cover Friday, and half are about the keg party they had that afternoon). So that’s something!

Not too shabby! Though, admittedly, the period and thus the period brain didn't kick in until after noon, so it's been a slow slide downhill thinking-wise. . .on the plus side, I did get to have chocolate cake tonight thanks to leftovers, so yay. :)

And now it's time to set up Sunday to-dos:

1. Keep editing Chapter 6 of “Londerland Bloodlines: Santa Monica’s Vale of Tears”

2. Keep up with YouTube Subs and Jon's final F:NV "Utter Chaos" video

3. Play Fallout 4, do Piper's interview, and pick her up as a companion

4. Work on tumblr drafts

5. Get in a workout (optional)

Yeah, that last one is definitely optional for tomorrow -- I already don't have a great track record with starting workouts on Sundays, AND this one is gonna be on the heaviest day of my period, soo. . .we'll see! But hopefully I have the brainpower for the other stuff. *fingers crossed* Night all!
