Social stuff and whatnot -- let me give you the round-up:

Work – Not quite as busy as yesterday – fewer phone calls for a start, which was nice. Though I ended up MAKING more phone calls, for people whose credit card stuff had been returned for one reason or another. Redid one gift, left messages for everything else. And then most of the rest of the day was QC files or going through exceptions sent back from the processors, so – yeah. We’ll see how the week progresses from here!

To-Do List

1. Get in a workout: Check – another night on the bike, finishing off Plumbella’s autism video! More about how it works for her, what she can and can’t do, and how 2020 led to some major burnout that means she’s much less effective at “masking” her autism and whatnot. Again, intriguing stuff! She admitted this was a tough video for her to make, but she wanted to share her experiences and talk about some of the myths and whatnot to help others who may be struggling or questioning. Good for her in that regard. :)

2. Free Writing Day: Check – working a little more on my private “Victor gets his mind melted by Alice and Smiler” scene, because hell with it, I’m having fun here. I do intend to at least start turning “As Long As You Love Me” into a proper story this week (and I’m thinking starting “Londerland Bloodlines: Downtown Queensland” at the beginning of May), but for now – hey, why not just do a little something that makes me happy?

3. Keep up with YouTube Subs: Check – two for a Tuesday, plus one bonus –

A) Started with a bit more Plumbella, doing an Entire History Of “The illegal expansion packs of The Sims franchise!” AKA, the scandal that was That’s Life and That’s Life 2, the fake expansion packs by X Media for the original The Sims that stole a bunch of custom content off other sites and put them on a disc for people to buy in stores. First one functioned a bit like a mod manager; second tried to present an actual “shopping experience.” Both were buggy as hell and made Simmers who understood that they were full of stolen content (unlike baby Plumbella, who got it as a gift and was just thrilled with more content for her game) furious. They sort of just disappeared off the market after the second one (maybe EA and Maxis successfully sued?), but they remain an interesting black splotch on early Sims history. And sadly relevant to the modern era, what with scandals breaking now over creators who do perma-paywalls and doxx people who insist they’re doing something illegal (EA explicitly allows early access, but stuff HAS to be free after I think a two-to-three-week trial, so). . . Ugh. I don’t approve.

B) Then it was over to the Subs for Call Me Kevin and the magic of Hitman VR! This time playing the Hitman (No Subtitle) level where 47 infiltrates a hotel to kill rock star Jordan Cross and his manager I-Forget-His-Name. Kevin approached this with his usual level of finesse – that is to say, he measured the size of Cross’s manager's neck with his hands while in a clown suit at the very beginning of the level; flooded every bathroom he could find; disguised himself as staff and got into actually tidying beds, mopping the floors, and buffing the counters; pushed every person standing in front of a window out said window; ATTEMPTED to do the “disguise yourself as the drummer” mission story – only to end up going on a rampage in an attempt to have a clear spot to dump the guy’s body which ended with a shootout in the kitchens; managed to successfully disguise himself as the drummer (and bitch about not getting a chance to play the drums himself – the game plays the standard cutscene for that moment) – only to blow his cover by accidentally getting out and dropping his gun in front of Jordan; killed Jordan and fled the scene SOMEHOW; screwed up Cross’s manager’s suite to get some new hotel worker threads to lead the manager to his room; killed him and stole the bodyguard’s clothes after having fun with the ragdoll physics; and then had to make a hasty escape out the emergency exit after being unable to resist pushing a few more staff into the river. XD Only thing it was missing was someone flying off into the sky – maybe next time.

C) And finally we had GrayStillPlays and more Happy Wheels! Only four boards today, mostly because Gray kept getting dragged into Hell by them. We had another neon bottle flip with such ways to die as getting your feet yeeted and being fed to an Among Us imposter, and a win hidden behind a surprise rope swing where you had to hope you were yeeted out of the cannon at JUST the right angle; a parkour board where if you managed to get past the trio of wrecking balls, the “rainbow gumballs of lobotomies” (a bunch of colorful balls with spikes AND battle axes above them – and after a certain point, the spikes CHASE you), and the very-carefully-time pink block jumps at the end, you could earn the ultimate prize – a shoutout; a board where you had to avoid death by hot dog – ranging from being crushed, to being exploded by condiments, to having a battle axe swung into your brain, to falling off the unstable hot dog platforms leading to the win (and you could end up stuck on the ceiling OVER the win too – fortunately Gray was able to save that with a controlled fall); and one nice simple board where Bike Dad got to be the prime pole vaulter at the Olympics. XD But yeah, the first three were basically “the Happy Wheels community REALLY tests the limits of Gray’s patience” and it was great. XD

4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check – got the whole week sorted over on Victor Luvs Alice! Chill Save update Wednesday, “Londerland Bloodlines” Thursday, Beckett Friday, “Rock Me Amadeus” cover Saturday. :) Just have to remember to reset the queue speed after tomorrow’s four-poster. . . And two ask replies on Valice Multiverse, good. Keepin’ on keepin’ on!

*nods* Keeping on top of everything as best I'm able, w000. And now it's time to head to bed and get ready to do this all again tomorrow. . .maybe it'll be a little warmer, at least? Cold and gloomy today, which is why we don't have a beanbags entry. *shrug* We'll see. Night all!
