crossover_chick: Doc snoozing on his couch (BTTF: exhausted)

Mostly thanks to work, though I at least had a productive evening. . .

Work – UGH. One of those “busy in a bad way” days with lots of phone calls and lots of credit card bullshit, I’m afraid. Day didn’t even go by particularly quickly to make up for it! Spent so much time fighting with the credit card site. . . Just very glad that tomorrow is not a cleaning Saturday. *flops*

To-Do List

1. Get in a workout: Check – another night on the bike, finishing off the Oxventure Stream “Leveling Up Live!” After some talk about alternate steeds for Egbert (including an Axebeak, which sounds like a giant terrifying bird, or an off-brand Chocobo), it was time to level up Corazon and Prudence! Corazon went first, and he leaned hard into the Rogue stuff this time around – his level-ups gave him access to an even more powerful sneak attack (which he hopes will help him remember to USE said sneak attacks), and the Evasion ability, which helps him evade area-of-attack spells, taking no damage on a successful Dex save and half damage on a failed. He also gained some additional Expertise in Perception and Investigation, as he IS always checking things (generally for danger to avoid or loot to get). And he declined learning more magic (claiming it’s for “nerds”) to instead dual-class into the Swashbuckling Rogue archetype! He was originally an “Arcane Trickster,” but that was only because he didn’t know “actual pirate” was a thing he could do. XD So now he has the ability to fight with two weapons at once, the ability to pull off Fancy Footwork (allowing him to make melee strikes on targets and stop them making any opportunity attacks on him for the rest of that turn) and Rakish Audacity (using his Charisma modifier to boost his initiative when that gets rolled, and new ways to use Sneak Attack against enemies closest to him without needing Advantage on the roll). Andy has explained all this in-universe as Corazon bumping his head on a beam while getting rum and abruptly remembering all his pirate skills again. XD (Which DOES sort of tie in with how he actually did some good sailing and whatnot when they went after the final cursed coin plaguing his crew. . .)

And then it was time for Prudence, who does not consider all this magic to be nerd stuff at all. XD She’s gotten a new present from Cthulhu – Entropic Ward, the ability to turn strikes against her into good luck for herself (DND Beyond calls this “Dark One’s Own Luck” and it allows you to add a D10 to ability checks or saving throws). Prudence appreciated the thought behind the present, but Jane was like “this is the most mathy of all my new stuff and thus I don’t like it.” XD She also got a new invocation that allowed her to basically start cursing people – she already has plans to start casting rotting curses on others – and two new spells. As before, Prudence decided to go “utility, then theme” with the spells – the utility one was Clairvoyance, which allows her to set up a “sensor” (a jeweled hearing horn and a glass eye she has looted off some corpses off-screen) in an area she knows and call upon them to hear or see whatever’s in that area at the time (could be useful); the theme one was Summon Greater Demon, which allows her to, well, summon a greater demon. XD Which she has to attempt to control every time she uses it, otherwise it breaks free and hurts anyone it wants to, unless they’re in a special protective circle of blood. XD Johnny and Jane were both delighted by the idea that Prudence could wipe the party with a summoned demon. XD

So yeah, that is the leveling done and over with! Next time, looks like the next adventure on the docket is “Elf Hazard!” Sounds Merilwen-centric – we’ll see how that goes! :)

2. Continue writing “As Long As You Love Me”: Check – redoing the “First Meeting” scene now, where Victor – shoved back into the closet while Hugo and his friends theoretically dealt with the intruder – has just heard his kidnappers all get messily slaughtered by some mysterious woman. He’s naturally kinda terrified about what’s about to happen, as she’s right outside his door. . .good thing for him I ship him with this particular holistic assassin. XD

3. Keep up with YouTube Subs: Check – two to cover in the Subs, and one extra bonus video –

A) Started with a Sims 4 mods video from my Recommendeds – “functional ccs as hobbies for sims | the sims 4” by ligayatrait! A showcase of a handful of functional objects that your Sims can use for hobby purposes – like Ravasheen’s paper sketchpad version of the sketching tablet, or her Voidcritter Tablet to bring voidcritters to more than just kids! Or skateboards and scooters that kids and teens can ride around on (with slightly wonky-animations – they’re cloned from the bike – and occasional invisibility)! Or skates that your Sim can put on to skate around their general area (wheels do sink into the ground when not in use, though)! Or some Greek and Roman skill books, or a functional soccer goal, or – the most useful one I think – a smaller microscope for Sims who can’t build giant labs under their house. XD Sims modding community doing all the heavy lifting, as per usual! XD

B) Then, over in the Subs themselves, we had – icky times in Fun With Shorts with “Deadly Spiders!” To be fair, this is a short from Australia, which – yeah, you wanna know your deadly spiders there. :p Though it was really more about teaching kids about spiders in GENERAL (via the medium of people poking spiders with sticks), with only a little, very outdated advice for what to do if you’re bit by one of these monsters (tourniquets were shown, and Josh urged the people on-screen to suck out the venom like in the movies XD). Creepy, but at least I can be assured that most of these creepy-crawlies live far away from me.

C) And from there we went to the most deadly creature of all – GrayStillPlays in a horrible God game! Specifically, Touch of God, a terrible mobile game where you are presented with a scenario in which a person wants something, have to find clues around the environment as to what kind of person they are, and then decide whether to help or not. Or, if you get the extra “watch this ad for more fun” option, straight-up curse or bless them. You know this is a Gray game when the SECOND scenario – a construction worker digging up a hole and complaining about how he wants to rest – can end with you BURYING HIM ALIVE IN HIS OWN HOLE. Gray also broke up two couples to get a guy and a girl together; froze a woman who wanted to be “cooler” but had committed the cardinal sin of looking weird as a child (also she had head lice); saved a little girl’s mom after she was somehow run over in the crosswalk – only for the arriving ambulance to flatten said mom immediately afterward; gave a guy who was stalking his now-famous childhood crush his own stalker; aged up a woman who wanted to be sexier; turned a woman who wanted to understand her dog into a dog herself; and STRAIGHT-UP DROWNED A MAN WHO GOT CAUGHT IN THE ROPE WHILE DUMPING A BODY. XD Yeah, this was a weird game with no true “good” choices, and Gray loved it. XD

4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check – surprise slew of asks for Valice Multiverse! Mostly one anon asking riddles with simple cipher answers. . .all told, seven replies in the queue for tomorrow! Busiest it’s been in quite some time. . .

*nods* Yeah, it's been a busy day, and mostly in the not-good way. But it is the weekend now, and I hope to make the most of it. Let's set up some Saturday to-dos:

1. Either write more of "As Long As You Love Me" or do a Free Writing Day

2. Keep up with YouTube Subs, including WSP

3. Play Sims 4 and do some building/save renovation

4. Work on tumblr drafts

Reasonable for a non-cleaning Saturday after a long week, me thinks. Have a good night, all!
