Wrapped Up A Bit Early Tonight

crossover_chickYes, it's been a bit of a quiet night, which I do appreciate. I also appreciate the fact that I don't have work tomorrow! XD Yes, because we're going to be getting some snow that's actually supposed to stick around for more than a few hours overnight which might build up on roads and such, work went ahead and gave us a snow day. Hooray for a day off! I intend to use it to get caught up on stuff -- tumblr and YouTube, mainly. Gotta start clearing out some of those Watch Later vids! MIGHT do some Simming in the form of a few finishing touches on the Valicer farm, but we shall see. We know what I'm like in build mode. :p Anyway, here's how my day went --
Work – Oof – busy day today, mostly because there was a LOT of credit card calls, starting with one of the supervisors giving me a number to call back almost as soon as I got in, and then ending with someone who’d been fighting with the website calling in at the end of the day. I didn’t even get a chance to finish the GL until after lunch! (Though that’s partially because it was also one of the more complicated ones.) I also had to post a bunch of gifts that came in late from one parish, and do a reversal because the credit card company ONCE AGAIN posted a gift to the wrong place. >.< I am SO glad they preemptively closed the place in anticipation of the snow tonight!
To-Do List –
1. Get in a workout: Check – another night on the bike, another night with GrayStillPlays and “I spent the last 3 years finding the most painful games!” Finished up the section on Skate 3 today, with Gray managing to launch his dude into space through janky physics, and got through – I don’t remember the name, but it was based around falling from higher and higher buildings (and, eventually, a plane) and onto construction equipment to break bones – and Belt It, the puzzle game where you had to figure out the correct combination of seatbelts to keep various crash dummies and all their personal possessions from flying out of a moving van. Gray was very very frustrated with one basketball and a table lamp in particular. XD Ended it with the start of one of the classic horrible mobile game bone breakers, Learn To Fly – looking forward to seeing that blast from the past again!
2. Continue writing “The Joker And The Queen”: Check – everyone has had a chance to be shocked at the fact Victor got himself onto the roof, with Bagshaw openly asking if he teleported. XD Victor said no, he’s just very good at climbing after a childhood of bullying, and – once Bagshaw left to get a ladder – demonstrated by climbing back down. And now he’s insisting that it’s not that hard to do, and he could probably teach any of them how to get up there. . .Smiler, as you might imagine, was the first to bite, albeit with a little coaxing. XD I don’t know if I’m gonna have Victor fully explain the climb yet, or do a little timeskip ahead to where most of them are getting up – I DO know that I have to have Rita’s prosthetic leg come loose in this scene, though. So I guess it’s whichever scenario favors that happening!
3. Keep up with YouTube Subs: Check – naturally had another GrayStillPlays video today – “When you get punched at light speed,” aka Gray plays Fight Masters! You know the drill – silly mobile game about launching someone across a landscape and into a bullseye, and you earn coins to buy upgrades to your attack power based on where and how much they flop. :P This one just came with extra special attacks you could unlock by watching videos – for example, in the stage where you were punching a boxer out of a high-rise ring and across a busy road, you could just straight-up hit him, you could smack him with a folding chair, or you could use a spring-loaded boxing glove on him. For the knight, you had the option of a straight-up sword, a shield bash, or dragon fire to launch him through the castle. And for Yeetcraft Stebe, you could smack him with a regular axe, a golden sword, or a diamond pickaxe to get him through the very destructible landscape. Oh, and you could charge all these attacks too for extra yeety power. You could even buy special characters if you wanted, like a big fuck-off spider that for some reason made Gray TONS of money in the final construction level. XD Gray of course had a lot of fun trying out all the different attacks and seeing how far he could send the characters flying – one character, the ninja, even had a skeleton that showed off how his bones were breaking, which made Gray VERY pleased. XD Just another round of the usual stupid fun we get with Gray and these games!
4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check – made sure to get two more drafts of the eight-part Chill Valicer Save Ultimate Winterfest Update sorted out with full text and tags right after writing, before I had my cookies. Then made sure to reblog the “Valicer Phantom” thread I have going with Stretch and my friend Newt’s cool monster book he made while waiting to see if this prophesied snow was ever gonna show up (answer: yes, but later than they predicted. It is starting to pile up now, though!)
*nods* Pretty low-key tonight! And I'm gonna try to go to bed, if not at regular time, then not much later than usual, just so I don't screw up my sleep schedule too much for the rest of the week. As stated, tomorrow is about catching up on tumblr (Victor Luvs Alice dash and tags, and finishing up the drafts for the Chill Valicer Save update on Wednesday) and YouTube (clearing at least a few videos out of the old Watch Later). Hopefully my brain will let me cooperate, as I suspect I am starting to PMS with the end of the month. . .fingers crossed, everyone! Night all!
