Strangetown Merge, Pleasantview Purge
May. 20th, 2005 11:33 pmPleasantview has gone kaput. I know it may seem sacreligous to some to delete the neighborhood with the Goths and the other Sims 1 descendants, but I never played it. I could use the disk space.
-D: For more pictures of half-naked college me, no doubt.-
Hey, to my credit, I didn't play you today. I was over in Strangetown for most of the time, then I popped in on Donald Patrickson to catch him up to you guys in school time. I also used the Campus Directory feature to have him call Emily and get to know her -- so I can invite him over now and start the Donald/Emmett hate.
-VD: *snarl* That pompous bastard.-
-OD: *tentacles clack pincers threateningly* I'd like to meet him today, just to see him piss his pants when he met my kids.-
:p Anyway, I've planned a few events in college:
-->Get Holly into the Secret Society (Bonus points for getting Emily and Emmett in too)
-->Donald vs Emmett - Emmett will probably win from his high body score *Docs beam*
-->Emily throws a party, and Emmett discovers his alcohol aversion
-->Have Holly "teach" Emmett meditation -- thus, she needs three logic points
-->One more community lot trip, to play as a band :p
-M: Sounds fun.-
-D: More fun that I ever had at college. I wish I really could have roomed with Holly and my sister.-
*patpat* Enjoy your adventures by proxy.
Oh, and weird ToP stuff: 1)Elias has a want to inherit money from Sarah.
-D: Bastard! *other Docs agree loudly, OckDoc with much tentacle hissing*-
I know -- her death is in his fears, but still. . . .
2)Lucy WON'T stop calling Doc.
-Docs: O.o-
I know! It's like she's stalking you!
-D: *shudder* Now that's not a pleasant thought.
Anyway, in Strangetown, I decided to merge the Lloyd and Clayton. Before that, however, I played each family for a game day. It was Monday in the Clayton family. Jennifer was up late studying skills, and only had time for a brief breakfast with Clara before school. Once Jennifer was on the bus, I had Clara call up George and Lorraine to help keep relationships high. Doc also randomly called Clara, which was nice. Clara worked on staying green while Jennifer got the violin Creativity point chance card for school -- which was fairly useless, as her Creativity is maxed. Clara also drank some Elixer of Life, essentially resetting her age back to the beginning of the stage.

When Jennifer came home, I decided to go ahead and fulfill her wants for new electronic stuff -- they just weren't going away. I sent her over to 121 Jigawatt Drive. J.C. Jones happened to be there, and they shared a dirty joke and a hug. :) Then Jennifer bought her electronics, and played her handheld for a bit.

There's an interesting glitch when it comes to the handheld game -- apparently, you build relationship points with YOURSELF. Jennifer's got a memory of meeting herself now.
-J: Gives a whole new meaning to "Know Thyself."-
*snrrrk* Anyway, I also had Jennifer pick up some groceries, then go for a brief swim. When she came home, I had her invite Marty over to satisfy a backrub want. Marty brought along Jenny Smith, who proceeded to demonstrate just how bad she is at the piano. Jennifer and Marty did romantic things (Marty surprising Jennifer with a smooch), and then Jennifer sent them off so she could do her homework and green. Clara maxed her Charisma skill, sacrificing her needs in the process -- I had her hop in her brand-new energizer and mood up. After sending Jennifer to bed, I had Clara practice yoga.

And that's basically where I left them for the night, with one exception -- I got a "Deliquent Bills" notice for their house, when they didn't have any bills! O.o
-VM: Okay, that's strange.-
-VuM: Yeah, really.-
I know. I won't worry about it too much, though. The girls are rich, so it won't hurt if the repo man mysteriously shows up.
Next, it was over to the Lloyd family. It was Friday morning -- Josie was the first up, and wanted to learn how to make omlettes. So I had her prepare some while Gypsy slept and Mystie took care of needs. Unfortunately, Josie ended up causing a fire! Weldon showed up to put out the blaze -- I had Mysteria flirt with him a little. :p
-VD: *grumble*-
Josie regreened and headed to work in a fairly positive mood. Doc Brown randomly dropped by, so I had Mystie do some romantic interactions with him. Gypsy headed off to work, leaving Mystie alone. I had her work out for a bit, then call up Jim. A few romantic interactions later, they were in love.

-VD: *sigh* I guess I should be gratified that at least she chose another Chris Lloyd character.-
Hehe. Mysteria sent Jim away and caught up on sleep. Josie came home with a promotion to Flight Officer! Since she wanted to earn skill, I had her pick up the thinking cap. Of course, I forgot she was in green aspiration, so she lost a mechanical skill point and had to be put to bed. Gypsy came home in the meantime, with Henry Hardname. They interacted for a bit, then she sent him home and sent about earning skill points. Early Saturday morning, Mysteria came home with a promotion to Home Video Editor, and danced with Josie. Josie also finished a painting and sold it for four simoleons before I saved and moved them into the Clayton place. *clucks tongue* Poor Josie. I need to have her fall in love with somebody.
-VD2: *hopeful look*-
I'm certainly considering it. Doc and Mystie need to fall out of love first, though. Doc's no Romance Sim.
-OD: That we aren't.-
Anyway, I have the weekend off work, so I'll probably be Simming it up more soon.
