A Standard Tuesday
Jul. 30th, 2024 11:53 pmNothing much to report in my life right now, so I shall just give you the to-do list and be on my way --
Work – Another fairly quiet day, with me doing the morning reports, getting through some more obituaries (and related roster maintenance issues), then getting some address updates from my coworker for the afternoon. Nothing particularly taxing. We’ll see what happens tomorrow!
To-Do List –
1. Get in a workout: Back on the bike, back with the GrayStillPlays compilation “When you hit max score in every mobile game!” Pedaling my way through the end of the Bowmasters video (where his alien with a death laser was nearly defeated by a guy with a garbage can); the entirety of the Bouncemasters video (that game where you smack a penguin across a bunch of different landscapes to get the longest distance – and where Gray accidentally broke things by getting his penguin to glitch through the earth on the final hit XD); and about maybe half of the Headcrab Invasion video (where you play as a headcrab chewing on people’s heads on its way to the White House, with different people giving you different special abilities, like the ability to force them to shoot fellow humans or throw you like a football). We’ll finish this off tomorrow, and then it’s straight on to another one! (I’m holding off on another episode of James Turner’s Every Life Stage Challenge for now because I’m up to the last one that’s under an hour, so I want to pair that with the two-hours-and-fifteen-minutes-long Happy Wheels compilation next week. Logic!)
2. Continue editing “Londerland Bloodlines: Downtown Queensland”: Check – Alice has made it into the parking garage where the deal between the local Operators and the Chinatown Tong is going down, having used a bit of Obfuscate to slip past the security guard up top. Now she just has to get past all the guards scattered around the garage as she heads down! Good thing she’s a dab hand with her Darkened Looking Glass… I should really give her the ability to stand up and run around with this power before she ends the chapter. I feel like between this particular mission and her creeping through the museum at the end, she’ll have earned it. As it is, though, she’s stuck crab-walking for the foreseeable future – but that’ll get her past the first few toughs, no problem.
3. Keep up with YouTube Subs: Check – a GrayStillPlays-only night tonight, with “They made Happy Wheels great again!” I think you can guess what game he played in this one. XD And we had some really nice boards in this one, including a bottle flip with all the text everywhere (like, seriously, so much text – Gray got three bottles in the “Florida” area and declared himself the winner once he got the “BACKWARDS BOTTLE CHAMP” area); a multi-stage marble run board (Gray picked pink, which unfortunately did not make it to the end – but he was extremely impressed with how long the board went on for and how complex it was – the marbles had to push a mini-ice-cream-van at one point! – so it still got five stars); a trip to “The Park Obby” with Bike Dad and Young Tom Hardy (featuring a swing set that was covered in either blood or red cloth, trash compactors ready to crush you, and a ride through the play area that was followed by dropping into the underworld after the elf that had been using the fire pole); a YouTuber Race (where Segway Nixon had to defeat the powers of PewDiePie and Mr Beast – which proved difficult as they both kept fucking him up pretty well); a fairly trippy rope swing (featuring giant happy face conveyors and a drop down the rainbow); someone’s recreation of the Shopping Cart Hero game (featuring the hobo guy taking a ride in the rocket-powered shopping cart and having to find a way to survive hitting the end – this proved very difficult, but Gray never shies away from a challenge); and Dylan’s 10th anniversary “test your reflexes” board (which saw Pogo Guy having to survive multiple crossbows, traverse the world’s trickiest-to-slide-through cave, and jump MULTIPLE ‘Merica trains). It really is great to see everyone having such a good time in Happy Wheels! Even if Dylan declaring that he’s been doing boards for the game for ten years makes me feel ooooold. *crumbles to dust*
4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check and check –
Victor Luvs Alice – Spent a little time this evening catching up with the dash a bit more and reblogging a few things (someone’s post about how Doc is constantly hunching around Marty doing the “mustn’t tower over my friend thing” and how that doesn’t make him look especially tall next to him; someone’s video of a cool stick made of two vines twisted together that forms a perfect sword shape; and Moose’s latest McFly July fic, featuring George worrying as Lorraine reads the first draft of his novel), then got my queue sorted with the pair of “Chill Valicer Save farmhouse update” posts for Wednesday; a Fallout 4 Red Rocket gifset for Thursday; and someone’s Smiler OC art (featuring a VERY body-horror-ful take on The Smiler) for Friday! Haven’t figured out Song Saturday yet, but I can take a whack at that tomorrow once I change the queue speed back from two a day to one a day.
Valice Multiverse – One ask from SatiricalDemon for the queue, with Satirical playing the part of the “Paranoia Core” and talking about how nearly a quarter of all industrial business is owned by “The Factory,” which has mysterious rust on most of his products. Aperture!Victor was like “I am sure it is not as bad as Aperture’s stuff.” XD
Yeah, not too much going on here, as you can see. But at least I'm keeping up with everything I want to keep up on. *nods* And now it is time to head to bed and try and get some halfway-decent sleep. Night all!
