But then again, what else is new with me? :p Anyway, here's how my day went --

Work – Semi-quiet Monday back – though maybe that was just because my talky coworker wasn’t in today. :p But the day was busy without feeling utterly overwhelming, which was good because, you know, period. I did the GLs (yes, plural, our credit card company uploaded some stuff on Saturday for some reason); I went through all the failed credit card stuff; I took some calls to do credit card gifts and updates and check on people’s balances for them; and I took a look at the exceptions and did a bunch of write-offs. *shrug* Nothing much else to say – back to the grind tomorrow!

To-Do List

1. Get in a workout: Check – another night on the bike, another night with the GrayStillPlays compilation “100 Cars vs Impossible Odds!” I finished off the “layers” challenge video (with the Chernabog missile truck destroying all comers, including those sand castles – still had trouble with the cow fence, though) and got through the entirety of the “$1-$10-$100-$1,000 Ramp Challenges” video (where Gray took on ramp challenges ranging from someone’s super-janky minimal-effort disaster to Alex’s terrifying ramp carousel) – I’m currently partway through the “U-Turn” challenge video (where Gray must complete a variety of painful U-Turn challenges, including driving on breakable plywood and doing a big U-Turn in under 16 seconds). I think I remember partly how this one finished (I know that he has to break out the RC car at one point) – we’ll see how good my memory is tomorrow!

2. Continue editing “Londerland Bloodlines: Downtown Queensland”: Check – today’s chunklet saw Alice discover that the Operators were planning on giving the Tong a briefcase full of newspaper before grabbing the goods and opening fire on them during the exchange – and that, on the other side of the aisle, the Tong were planning on handing over a fake briefcase, and weren’t opposed to doing some shooting themselves. Meaning that the briefcase she actually wanted was over on the Tong side, behind their car. She managed to sneak up to it okay, but just got noticed as she went to grab it – fortunately, the handoff going bad is going to cause quite the distraction for her...

3. Keep up with YouTube Subs: Check, taking on the Monday twofer –

A) First up, we had Josh Way and “STREAM TIME: Anyone But You + Immaculate!” Which featured Josh reviewing Anyone But You in like the first three minutes (stating it was a “fine” R-rated rom com, nothing special but if you need that itch scratched it will do it – though based on his description of a certain running bit, I think you’ll like it more if you’re a fan of Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing”), then spending the rest of the time talking about how Immaculate was damn near identical to The First Omen up until the very end (creepy horror story about nuns and pregnancy, basically), the performances of the lead actress in both movies, Sydney Sweeney (she was fine in Anyone But You, but came off better in the more complex role of Immaculate – she’s also apparently interested in using her fame to shepherd more indie projects into the light, which good for her), and the recurring horror theme of religious people trying to engineer the end of the world somehow (usually depicted in the form of Evil Catholics Doing Evil Things, though Josh noted that in the real world, it’s usually the Evangelicals preaching that shit) and how them trying to force along God’s Plan generally goes poorly (it’s something he’d like to see explored more on its own, rather than just being a background theme to Scary Religious/Pregnancy Movies). Interesting stuff, though if you just want to know if you should see either movie, you can probably stop about halfway through. :p

B) And second up, we had GrayStillPlays and “Taking rubber band challenges to unreasonable extremes,” aka Gray plays Flexy Ring! This bizarro mobile game consisted of three distinct mini-games – puzzle sections where you had to remove rubber bands from where they were stretched over pegs in order to collect the bands and unzip the thing beneath them (which was often women’s clothing – yes, really, the woman had a non-revealing bikini on underneath, but STILL); a “this is why we put Mentos in Coke” section where you used your collected rubber bands to squeeze a variety of objects (like a tube of toothpaste, a can of creamy whip, and an entire pumpkin) until they exploded, which I believe got you hammers; and a store section where you traded in hammers to create various colors of rubber rings to sell, and which got you money to expand your inventory and buy machines to turn rings into other things (yellow rings became ducks, for example, and red rings crabs). It was just a smorgasbord of complete and utter weirdness – not helped by the fact that it looked like the “puzzle” levels repeated themselves pretty quickly. Like, what the hell, my dudes? At least watching Gray react to the weirdness was amusing...

4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Well, I MEANT to do some more work on my VITD Special Abilities II post, but never actually got there thanks to various distractions. Though I did make sure to reblog some stuff on Victor Luvs Alice –

A) A post someone made of putting the song “Doorman” by Slowthai and Mura Musa over a chase sequence from the beginning of Dead Boys Detectives – while I’m not in the fandom, I approved the edit because that song IS excellent chase music

B) A reblog of my friend Nebby’s post about her Modern AU!Princess Kiya from Medievil, showcasing her new more 80s goth girl design (it was really nice)

C) A post someone made about how being a fanfic author sometimes feels like you’re giving yourself another job (mood)

D) A post of Edwin from Dead Boys Detectives making up some sort of potion with a portable alchemy kit to combat a Forest Elemental – again, I’m not in the fandom, but MAN if my VITD Smiler did not sit up and take note when I saw that gifset for the first time (the kit has a tiny grater!)

So that’s not nothing, at least!

*shrug* Pretty typical Monday, I would say. And now I need to drag myself away from distractions and head to bed. :p Night all!
