Busy Thursday Night

crossover_chickThat is my excuse for being late today and you can all just take it. :p But yes, I have been busy doing things this eve, which includes updating this here to-do list that describes my day --
Work – A relatively quiet Thursday – the phone rang twice, once at the beginning of the day and once at the end, neither time for me, and the rest of my day was spent doing the usual roster maintenance nonsense I’ve been doing the entire week. While listening to my coworkers yap on and on and on. *sigh* Well, tomorrow’s Friday – and we’re still in half-day mode, so that’s even better. Looking forward to getting it over with, then having some chill time!
To-Do List –
1. Get in a workout: Check – I did have to watch the last three or so minutes after supper, but I completed the GrayStillPlays compilation “100 Cars vs Impossible Odds!” Which involved finishing off “Mudder” challenge (the Wastelander proved to be just a little too slow in the mud to take the win, leaving the Outlaw to race past it in the final agility course and grab a medal) and getting through the “Twisted Bridges” video (the one that featured that bridge that literally twisted while Gray was going across it, meaning he had to hit the various ramps and loops on each side in order to get into the air during the twisting and not fall to his death in the water below – this one took it OUT of him). Good stuff! :D Now I just have to figure out what I’m watching tomorrow...
2. Continue editing “Start At The Beginning...Sort Of”: Check – the group has made it to the workshop room of the tower, where Smiler had a major squee moment over finding Elder Gutknecht’s old Fox-Lloyd alchemy bench. :D And then Alice pointed out the Lumiere tinkering bench, which got both Smiler AND Victor interested… Point being, Alice is now teasing them about being ready to move into this wreck of a lair. XD Well, you’re gonna end up being ready to move in yourself before long, Alice, so perhaps refrain from the throwing of stones? XD
3. Keep up with YouTube Subs: Substitution Check – another “just GrayStillPlays uploading what looks to be a compilation” (rollercoasters-in-video-games-themed, that’s interesting) Thursday in the Subs, so instead we watched the following –
A) First up, a video I saw linked on the subreddit for Blades In The Dark – “When your ex literally ghosts you,” by Viva La Dirt League! A short video where a guy complains about a person ghosting him after one date – and then it turns out what he means is that he is being haunted by an EXTREMELY possessive ghost, to the shock and terror of his female coworker. XD The dude’s “REALLY?” reactions to the ghost’s various hauntings was delightful. XD And yes, you probably could work up some sort of score out of a similar situation in BITD if you were so inclined...
B) And second up, from the Watch Later, we had “The Sims 4: Indonesian Mods and CCs Showcase! (Independence Day Special)” by onlyabidoang! A very special video that featured Abi showing off mods and CC related to his own home country – while narrating in Indonesian! (With subtitles, of course.) It was a really neat video that showed off a LOT of stuff – from various vehicles cloned from the bike that Sims could pedal around, and even sell food from in certain instances; to special Indonesian-style kitchen counters and stovetops; to collections of Indonesian food both decorative and actually edible; to flags, monuments, and even a special pole covered in old appliances for a Sim to climb (apparently it’s related to a game over there); to a dance your Sims can do together (which Abi founds very amusing to watch); to a spooky Indonesian ghost costume to go along with some graveyard stuff; to loads and loads and LOADS of Indonesian clothing options! Basically, these modders and CC creators have been working OVERTIME to represent this country, and it’s pretty great. :) Kudos to all you lot – especially you, Cepzid, since I have some of your other mods. XD
4. Get my tumblr queues sorted: Check and check again –
Victor Luvs Alice – THIS is what I spent most of my night on, as I was getting my Friday post ready for queueing – an “ask game” post that encourages people to ask me about or get me to write stuff for a VAST VARIETY of mostly-Valicer AUs, including some that were previously one-shots or that I haven’t talked about on tumblr at ALL. I imagine there’s something in there to catch somebody’s attention! We’ll see what happens when it goes up tomorrow.
Oh, and I got my Song Saturday sorted too – a song called “Doorman” by slowthai and Mura Musa that I’ve become fond of recently as excellent “my OT3 is being chased by something” music. :p What, sometimes you just gotta highlight something that is Vibes.
Valice Multiverse – By contrast, I had one anon ask here for the queue – a story about the Pope and Chester A. Arthur on the Amazon with a fish swimming up the Pope’s *bleep*. With a lot of *bleeps* afterward. XD Cuddlepile!Alice was like “not sure I want to know what’s behind those bleeps.” XD
Whew! Yeah, trust me, that list took a looong time. *shakehead* I have a lot of AUs banging around in this head of mine. And now I have to go to bed as I DO have work tomorrow. Good thing it's a short day -- night all!
