crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (Default)
You see, back when my computer privelges were revoked, I had some DVDs. Mom and Dad figured that I could still watch those on the computer (we didn't have the DVD/VCR combo then). Problem is, my account has a BTTF theme, complete with appropriate sounds. And something kept turning on and off every time I tried to play a DVD in my account, meaning my DVD kept getting interrupted by the DeLorean leaving and arriving. We created a new account for DVDs, and when I got back into Sims, I played in there. Worked fine -- until recently. Now Sims acts weird in that account (probably because I once had to reboot in that account when the computer froze, so things have been weird in there ever since), and we have the DVD/VCR combo. When I play my Sims in here, it goes straight to auto-play. Which is nice.
-D: I personally think you'd prefer larger Sims.-
Yeah, the Sims are magnified in the shortcut version, but I like to play at highest quality too, and I think I get gyped there in the big version.
-D: Ah, I see. How are the Sims?-
Marty's all set and is ready to make star friends in SimGod. The album's coming along pretty well in the new house. Still need to make the DownTown clock shop for those scenes. Also need my map of your house for a quick 1985 scene.
-M: You're putting a lot of effort into this.-
Hehe, I'd kinda like to place. Not expecting to win, but maybe get an honorable mention or something.
Gonna get going, we need ice cream, I need to write, and I have a slight urge to play some Time Traveling Bike. My Doc fixes are becoming quite frequent lately.

Made the Clock Shop, designed the Lathrop family, and turned the upstairs room into a fascimile of the 1985 garage. Partly. Changing it around gave them a little more cash. Mom and Dad needed to look up places to live, though, so I didn't get to actually play for very long. Tomorrow.
-D: What's the Lathrop family for?-
I've refined the story line. It's about a particular grandfather clock now. You've had this clock your whole life. In fact, you even got it as a present from your own maternal grandparents -- the Lathrops! (Although I personally don't call them that in my own universes, I'm just going for a name Backies will know.) You give it back when you move back to the future, and they give it to your parents when they marry.
-D: *grin* Sounds interesting.-
Yup. Problem is, when you sell your house and move to the new one, you didn't get your clock, and it got sold by the new owners. Marty tracks it down for you as a special "welcome home" present.
-M: Awwww. That's cute.-
-D: Another "power of friendship" story, I see.-
*giggle* I like those!
I tried a trick with the adult Lathrops -- if you initially make the adults as children, then edit them, they come with a random set of skills. The father, Everett, didn't have any logic skills, but that was easily fixed. I rosebudded a little again -- not much, just enough to afford beds, a bathroom, a kitchen, and some fun stuff. No rosebudding in SimGod though -- not that I'd need to. I rosebudded myself for the house, and I'm making most of my other money by fame. Chris Brown Jr. is living within his means and is taking in a steady B-movie actor's salary. And the Browns are independently wealthy, of course.
-VD: You cheated a little with us.-
Hey, I find it easy to sell the bunnies. And the blackboard -- think of it as a glorified easel. Least I'm not using the typewriter, there's a cheat object! Useful for the Clock family though. So far Marty's the only one with a job. I'm waiting for Science and Education to come up. Again. In the meantime Clara and Doc will paint, do formula, and write papers.
This is the latest I've been up on the computer in a while. I gotta go to bed.
