crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (Default)
Pros:
--> I'm actually enjoying the new aspirations that your sims have. I think it's cute they have wants and fears.
--> Building is about the same as in Sims (although there are a few more options, like stair railings). That's good, I'm used to the system.
--> Create-A-Sim is great! It's funny to see them get all excited about their new clothes, and grin and smile when you change their faces. Heck, teens even sigh over how long it's taking you to make them!
--> Facial expressions equal cool. I like their smiles and frowns.
--> DVD Bonus Disk has cool stuff, like commercials for the old original Sims!
Cons:
--> It's kinda tough to handle both aspirations and needs. Good thing Sims are a bit better at taking care of themselves.
--> The camera system is a bit wacky. I think I'll need time to fully get the hang of it.
--> There's really not many objects (besides different colorations, which is kinda neat). Hopefully the Sims 2 version of "Livin' Large" (or "Livin' It Up," as I believe it's called outside the US) will add more objects. I really miss Marty's guitar from Sims. *shrugs at Marty* You'll have to start out on the piano, kid.
--> This isn't really the game's fault -- it runs very slow and kinda jerkily. I'm pretty sure it's a memory issue, I'm going to try and delete some stuff I don't need. It's also probably because I'm running all this at minimum specs. (And I suppose the computer could do with a disk defrag too)
--> Former Con: You can't get that sucker out of the box!
-M: Former con?-
I actually bent back two of the tabs to finally get it out.
-D: I'm a little surprised to see we're not on the radar yet.-
I've been fiddling around with you guys. I think I should try to Body-Shop you two to get the right look.
-VM: What the heck is Body-Shop?-
It's kinda like my Sims 1 Sim Creator. Allows for a bit more fiddling.
I played one full day of sim time yesterday with the Lloyd family: Gypsy, Mystie, and Josephine. Gypsy is a Knowledge Sim, Mystie a Romance Sim, Josephine a Family Sim. Mystie started things off by telling Josephine and Gypsy jokes. Both girls accepted them, and they all chatted with each other. Mystie went and used their telescope for a while, then went and looked at the clouds. I sent Gypsy and Josephine in to skill-build, as some of their wants included earning skills. After a while, Pollination Tech #9, Olivia, and Jenny Smith all showed up to welcome them to the hood. Mystie and Josie greeted Jenny and Tech respectively, fulfilling wants. They all talked pretty happily. It took Gypsy a few minutes to greet Olivia. Olivia didn't like the wait and made Gypsy cry. She managed to get on Tech's bad side too before Gypsy booted her off the lot. Gypsy chatted with Tech while Josephine made herself a sandwhich and Mystie made a TV dinner. Gypsy then grabbed some food for herself while Mystie and Josie helped keep Tech and Jenny entertained. Nervous Subject appeared on the scene. Gypsy greeted him too. Nervous didn't like being admired but accepted a chat. Somebody turned their stereo on, and everyone proceeded to dance and use the toilet. Nervous tried to get someone to dance with him but ended up going solo. Mystie and Jenny danced together, though. Finally everyone was dismissed, and Mystie tried to cook another TV dinner. She set the microwave on fire. The girls freaked, and both Gypsy and Josephine realized a fear. Luckily I had bought a smoke alarm, so a fireman quickly showed up and dowsed the flames. Gypsy made it to the shower first, followed by Josie. Mystie tipped the fireman, then chatted with him. She complained to me she was smelly and got annoyed at Josie for being in the bathroom. Josie and Gypsy finally went to bed, allowing Mystie a much needed shower. I left them all snoring.
-D: Great scott, busy day!-
I know. Gypsy and Josie also got jobs -- Gypsy in Medicine, Josie in Military. Mystie's currently unemployed -- her want was for the Slacker track, and I didn't see that. Things should be a bit calmer today. I hope.
