crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (Default)
I tried again with Doc and Marty last night (stayed up til 11:30!), and I came up with some Sims that were pretty good, all things considering. Doc's hair seems a bit too neat, and Marty looks a tad like a cherub --
-J: *snort*-
-M: *rolls eyes* Jesus.-
But otherwise, all was cool. They even had some great clothes. Doc's Aspiration is Knowledge, Marty's is Popularity (since he seems to care about getting famous).
-D: Sounds good to me.-
So I go to accept the family -- it asks me to add an adult Sim. Okay then -- that gives me a chance to fiddle around with Clara again. I get a decent-looking her, send her in with the family. It won't let me make her Doc's spouse, so I figure I can do that later. I click "Accept Family" again.
It tells me that the kids have to be related to an adult.
This pissed me off to no end. Remember, it's very late, I'm tired, and I'm not thinking very clearly. Angry, I deleted the family and quit the game.
And it's then that I think of how to get around that -- make an adult GEORGE. *sigh* I'll do that today and try to figure out where the game hides the pictures so I can show them off. I'll also make a Clara and Lorraine family.
-VM: What, no Jennifer?-
Should she be with Clara and Lorraine, or should I give her her proper father?
-J: If you do put me with the other girls--
Yes, yes, you'll technically be Clara's daughter.
-M: Good!-
As goes with other Sims, I played a couple of pre-made families just for the heck of it, then went back to the girls. Mystie's aspiration is still struggling -- I ended up buying her a double bed just to fulfill one of the poor girl's wants. Josie's still a recruit, but Gypsy made it to paramedic in her job. She also brought home a friend one day -- Circe Beaker. They chatted for a little while before Gypsy sent her home. Gypsy's made Gold aspiration with painting and stuff, while Josie's made platnium just from me telling her to study cooking!
-VD2: That's my girl!-
-VD: So what's so hard about Mystie?-
A lack of guys to flirt with, really. I'm trying to get Weldon the fireman on her good side. Once she makes some friends, her aspiration should go up.
-VD: Ah, good.-
-M: I had a thought -- are we going into Strangetown or our own neighborhood?-
I had multiple yous in the old game neighborhoods -- I should be able to do you twice. I keep meaning to bodyshop you, but I always end up in Create-A-Sim.
-D: I don't see the difference, frankly. There's only so much you can do to make a Sim look like me.-
I'm just gonna keep trying. Which reminds me, what should George's aspiration be? I was thinking Romance.

-D: What?-
Not only can my Sims call other Sims, other Sims can call my Sims. During the SimWeek I've played the girls, they've gotten three phonecalls from other Sims (not friends, just acquaintences) -- one for Gypsy from Nervous, and two for Mysteria from Weldon. My girls couldn't take the first two, but Mystie managed to grab the third and had a nice chat with Weldon.
-M: Weldon?-
Weldon Tellerman -- the firefighter. Nervous is Nervous Subject, a premade Sim. If you've watched any of the Sims2 videos, he's the star of "Friday the 13th." Mystie wants to friend Weldon as a Want. You can do that with this game.
-VD: How goes life for the girls?-
All right. Everyone made it to level two of their careers, so we have a steady supply of money coming in. I also got to satisfy some of Mystie's major wants -- she befriended Jenny Smith and earned some charisma. She even went Platinum (the highest aspiration state, gives you a constant good mood) for a little while. Josie and Gypsy over between Platinum and Gold. It's pretty easy to keep Josie in Platinum, though -- her wants include gaining cooking and cleaning skills. I think we're soon to have a master chef in that family. Which is good, the girls are currently living off cereal and lunchmeat sandwiches. Ah, the bachelorette life. . . .
Some idiots been kicking over our trash can, though. Poor Josie had to pick it up and clean up the mess. She also spotted some roaches, which had her realize a fear. Calling the exterminator fixed that. And the girls have continued to spy on premade Sim Vidcund Curious.
-M: I am NOT touching that name.-
Neither am I. I even changed the direction of the scope -- he kept popping up in their thought bubbles. Vidcund even made Gypsy cry. :( Luckily some dancing with Mysteria fixed that.
I also took my first community lot trip -- to my own lot. 121 Jigowatt Drive. :) The girls needed some groceries. Gypsy headed out and bought some, and encountered a new Townie Sim called Matthew. I did my best to make a nice community lot -- it has a pool, hot tubs, a clothing/games store, a grocery, bathrooms, and a grill area. However, Gypsy complained a wall was in the way of a game, and she couldn't sit down in any of the chess seats, so I think I need to fix that up a bit.
-VD2: I notice you're still us-less. *slight grin*-
I was going to bodyshop you, but I was put off the application by the sheer oddness of it. There's a chapter on it in my Prima Guide, I'll have to read that. I think I'll stick with you in Create-A-Sim.
