George and Lorraine have finally met! My Holly Gambit worked! Lorraine invited her over to make friends, and she brought along her pal George. Lorraine befriend Holly through a game of red hands, then played some chess with George. There's a small stumbling block in their relationship -- I don't think they have all that similar interests. I couldn't get them to chat. *reminds self to check both their interest levels to see what's what*
Anyway, Lorraine and George finally met on Thursday. Friday, Lorraine had George over early -- she didn't even bother to change out of her nightgown. :) They played a few games together, and a couple of well-placed flirts brought them to crush status! Lorraine said goodbye just as she went to work. While Jennifer was working on her homework, a chance card came up for Lorraine -- she had the choice to write about her favorite Asian recipes, or to write a cookbook of the latest fad diet. I had her choose Asian -- made bestseller, netted the girls 10,000 simoleons!
-J: Woo-hoo!-
Yeah, which was really cool. It also let me do keep a recent purchase. The "buy a piano" want had popped up in Clara's wants, and I decided to indulge it for the day and sell it afterwards. But with 10,000 extra simoleons in the bank, I figured you could keep the piano. I moved it inside after moving the bookcase and the chess set up.
-M: Wow, that means the girls are richer than us now.-
Much richer. Clara made Inventor and Lorraine made Executive Chef that same day. I figured the girls deserved some nicer things, and traded up -- they got a stove, the best bathtub, and the best toilet. I figured that now they can afford it. . . .
-D: Do we get a piano now?-
I'll make room for it. *grin* Jennifer also invited her man over to give him backrubs and such.
-M+J: *grin* *smooch*-
Saturday began with a small crisis -- out of groceries. When I had Jennifer check the food supplies, it had gotten all the way down to ONE. Yeah, time to go shopping. Jennifer went and picked up some groceries while Clara and Lorraine were at work. She encountered George there -- had a few good jokes, but ended up with bad chats and a tease. *sigh* Lorraine had George over again when she got home -- I engaged in a bunch of "double plus" interactions and made them best friends. Clara came home with a promotion to Scholar and had Doc over. Jennifer called River Smith and had an okay conversation with him. I was tempted to do something romantic with Doc and Clara, but refrained.
-D: *grr* Look, we're best friends. Bow to the inevitable.-
Let's see if you kiss on your own first. And remember -- in the Smyth-Jones house, aging is ON!
