Today was. . .interesting
May. 25th, 2005 10:04 pmAs you know, the weather has been utter crap here. It's currently raining to beat the band, and extremely windy besides. Well, today at work, right in the middle of taking a few orders for customers, the power just goes out. Store goes dark. We manage to finish up with the customers that we have, then hang out for a while, wondering if it's only our street that has no power, or if the entire town has no power. More customers come in, we service them with hand-written bills. It seems that we did the most business while the computers were down. Then, when the power did come back on, the racks that we store finished clothes for pickup on broke down for a bit -- guess when all the pickup orders were? >.<
-D: Certainly -- interesting.-
Heh, yeah.
-DW: *huddles under desk near heater* When is it going to feel like summer?-
Never. Rhode Island eschews summer weather. :(
-M: I vote we make a break for Florida.-
-J: We'll pack our things.-
Hey! If I have to stay here, you have to stay here.
-OD: *tentacles hiss* How do you plan to keep us here?-
*cages drop from ceiling over muses*
-Muses: O.o;-
Like that.
-VD: Damn authorial omnipotence.-
Oh, to live in the Sims world, where it's always sunny and you can wear whatever clothes you like. Screw weather, I need to live vicariously through them.
-M2: Did you do Strangetown or Academie Le Tour?-
Both, actually. I dropped in on the Strangetown Browns. Eileen's wants rotate between getting attention from her mom and dad, so I try to have them take turns giving her snuggles and such. Doc has maxed out his body skill, learning the top move of yoga:

-D: O.O Wow.-
-VuM: *whistles*-
Heh, yeah. George is also fast-learning the ways of yoga. Marty brought home a friend from school, Barbara, and managed to friend her over some kicky-bag. Jennifer also called Lorraine, while Doc made best friends with Eileen.

Something I find rather odd -- he has the family kiss option, despite not being family.
-VM: Like hell he isn't family.-
-VD2: *blush*-
hehehe, well, according to Sims family trees, he's not. Eileen is now best friends with everyone except her half-brother, and that should change soon. She's also two days away from being a child, and Lorraine wants to host a birthday party. I'll wait to see if Marty gets a party want, otherwise I'll let her do it. Marty needs the aspiration boost more. Poor guy keeps dwindling into green.
-M: *pout*-
-VD: Any more on getting George abducted?-
I'll actively start trying for that once a) Eileen is a child and b) Marty's off in college. I think five people in a house is my maximum.
As for the Von Brauns at Academie Le Tour, they're now second semester sophomores, and actively working on befriending the Mortes. I got lucky -- Arazel wandered by the house one day while Doc was home, and I got everyone involved in a game of kicky-bag. The Mortes keep calling -- they seem to really like the Von Brauns. Hopefully getting everybody friends will be easy. Next time I play the Angels to catch them up, I'll work on the relationships from their end too.
-J: Sounds like a plan.-
Yup. All three have also completed a term paper, Holly has gotten in touch with Nery again, and as usual they all got A+s and made the dean's list on exam day.
-AJ: What's with them being such perfect students?-
I like filling up that bar. Means I've done something right with them. Details and pictures over in

-M2: Can we come out now?-
Promise not to run?
-Muses: *grumble* Promise.-
*lifts cages*
-MDC: *strikes match* I know how to keep everybody warm!-
No! Bad MiniDamosCrawler! *chases*
